Patch notes are out and the solo job can't even do the main solo content? Like, even if it was behind, if someone wanted to do the MSQ on their own, they can't even do it on BLU? And this job isn't a minigame?

Not being able to do squad missions and having tokens has collapsed a lot of arguements for BLU. The tokens take away from this "Unique experience of learning skills directly from monsters" and the inability to do squad missions in a solo oriented job is just absurd. Squads would have been perfect to learn abilities from dungeons if you can't get a team of people together what the hell.

The thing that really gets me is that they already have everything in place needed to create a set that's balanced for group content. You have skills that are obtained via other means - the totems, and probably quests. Balance those. And you have various sets of 24 skills you can save. Have one be dedicated to the 'balanced' skills and instantly switch to that set when you queue up for a duty. You don't have the skills SE thinks you should've had by then? Which reminds me, didn't they say quests would be locked behind skills and not levels?

Why would they lock skills behind totems? I absolutely do not understand the reason for this. The entire point of making BLU what it is, is to give it more freedom to learn skills and to go out into the world more. What is the point of locking skills, no matter how small they may be, behind totems of all things?
I can only pray that these totems are not capped.

Okay after thinking it over I'm hoping this is just a way to make it so getting primal skills are less RNG based. -

It could be. The patch notes said you need to talk to the NPC after obtaining certain achievements. "Defeat Shiva Ex 20 as BLU", then talk to him and get your totem for her arrow skill. Not sure what to do with the totem if you already got the skill on the way, though. Now, Shiva ex does drop a currency, so seemingly they could've made a one-time vendor, but the older Ex primals don't have currencies, and an achievement-based system could help cover all bases in that regard.Quote:
