If you're just looking for people to run and play with, I'd happily oblige. I always love having more people to run content with (cause I'm not done yet ._. I'm easily distracted...)
But I'm on Goblin and not looking to move as I love it here as well as love my FC. Not sure if you'd be willing to make alt or to transfer (i would suggest alt anyways before spending any money on transferring). But I will say, half my FC is from balmung and transferred here as they liked it better. We all like that there aren't cluster F%^$ of people everywhere, but there are indeed lulls at time. Also, side note. Half the time, we do stupid things because.... well, why not? Like, why not do a party full of tanks against ifrit hard? What could possibly go wrong? :) Bathing suit armor ftw? Slutty dungeon run? Heck yea! Manderville a boss into submission; check! (As a side note, if someone needs to clear something, we do take that seriously. If we're just looking to do content together, then yea, not as serious. An FC that slays together stays together!)

Sounds good. I just started a new class (pls refer back to me saying I get easily distracted ._.) so when you make your alt, I'll use that most likely. You may want to send me a tell first though. Otherwise, I might angrily delete your friend request thinking you're just another RMT bot :P We're usually online around 5p-12p EST. Some stay up way later, some get off earlier. Today is an exception for me though. I could probably hop on earlier today whenever you make your alt.

They all failed mostly because communication was poor. I don't have a 'mate' either. Talking with someone about anything and doing things together I guess is a fantasy. I focused too much on it. Communication is important though. Nothing will last without it.

Yeah, my friend will be new, but I'm planning to run through the content with her and help her level up, I think she's gonna be levelling a DPS class though, so that means my AST is my next 60! Shame, but not everyone is looking for what constitutes a real life bond. They're looking for an ingame bond that they can severe whenever they feel like it. Basically, a no strings attached kind of deal. Not saying everyone is like this. But a majority are. I know that if I do an EB, I am not looking for that. Yes. It would be fantastic to have a good friend to play with whenever I'm online and to talk to (but then again, I already have an entire FC for that since most of us are rl friends), but I wouldn't expect them to devote the same level of commitment as a real life relationship.

Look for a friend first. Then look for more afterwards if things look up. Basically, same thing you should do in a real life relationship. Sometimes people hit it off immediately and everything works out just fine. Majority of the time, after a month, you realize, you've talked about all the things that were "new" and now it's time to determine; is this person actually interesting and keeps my attention, or do I now find them boring and unamusing...

Never realized people take this so seriously and are looking for an in game relationship.

Yeah I know that's directed towards me. I think people tend to read too deeply into what I say in this thread. It's pretty common that one will think I'm looking for more. I don't talk about my first EB partner often, but she was my best friend in game. We did everything and talked about everything, and not just game related. There was no "romance". I know the difference between friendships and relationships and associations. I'm tired of being treated like an associate. She provided me with what I was looking for, and unfortunately, I lost that. Perhaps karma is not done punishing me.

Eternal Bonding isn't just for in game relationships - yes people have found love through this thread. However, a lot of us, myself included are looking for the same thing YOU'RE looking for. The thing is, friendships are no different from relationships in the important aspects. There's gotta be communication, and let's not forget that you still have to click. We also have to put up with each other's bad ways which could sour it, if not kept in check.

I'm sorry to say but running content with someone over and over is *not* the same thing if there NO connection between the two. Ya don't know me, but I've been through it all. I've befriended people that I just couldn't click with. Putting up with their silence for WEEKS before giving up on them. I take solace in the fact that I give people chances. If I want to be your friend, I'm GOING to pursue it.

Gee I wasn't trying to offend anyone. I was echoing the previous poster who said that it takes time to build a connection. I didn't think people who got married in the game after just meeting really took the marriage thing serious and was just doing to it for fun, items, rp, etc. To find a real connection in game or in real life takes time. Personally I would think in game would take even longer because people are not as people friendly online. That's just my two cents. Good luck but be prepared to go through a lot of people to find what you're looking for.

How do I say it.... some people are just looking for different things - some just think of it as RP and some actually want the relationship to transfer to RL.

To the whole 'RL vs In Game' thing that's going on, it really is up to the pair to talk and decide what they're in it for. I mean, that's the whole point of filling out our sheet thingies, to figure out what a person wants and to decide whether or not to contact them and hang out.

I've been in a few relationships IRL, and a few online. I can say that Online is definitely harder, but you're definitely able to find someone more compatible than in person. Just takes time, time, and more time. And also the willfulness to talk to random people xD
