Map/minimap's color is Beige/brownish.
Could the color of the Quest Icons "!" on the maps be changed from current brownish/yellowish to Blue/Purple or something dark that makes them easy to spot out in contrast to the minimap/map backgrounds?

A little E or icon showing items equipped/equipped to other gear sets in my armoury menu. Difficult to tell what im not using with all these classes XD
I need to see a hardware mouse option implemented. Many Vista users have problems with the mouse. Most cannot use a mouse in full screen because the cursor does not appear.
My situation is even more annoying. The game runs great, but only when the mouse cursor is not visible! If the mouse cursor is visible on the game window, I drop to 1/3 of my normal FPS, and I have measured the drop.
One thing I don't like is the way advancing the summoner job is tied to the main story. Don't get me wrong I understand why it works that way, but it's kind of frustrating that in order to advance in the summoner job I have to stop and do a huge number of main story quests first. It's a boat anchor around the jobs neck.
How about we request this company actually respects its customers enough to create the servers necessary for this type of game instead of selling us all a $79.99 piece of shit that doesn't work as we cant even log in it? that's my suggestion. :)
Another thing I'd like to see is having the "aggro list", or the list of mobs that you currently have emnity on, display all the mobs that are in the current battle, not just the ones you have emnity on. IE, if the tank pulls 3 mobs, and you hit one, only one mob in the list shows.
Edit: And maybe the marks put on those mobs as well.
More option in Chat logs:
- Adjust text size
- More tabs (more than 4)
- Play "tell" sounds even when game window is minimized
- Ability to move and relocate chat log window
- Distinguish dropped items names in log chat
Why should we have to Dismount to talk to an NPC? I'd be happy with an automatic hop off as well but not an error message..
free bump amazing thread
Not sure if this one has been posted, but please change the way of tab button (changing enemy feature). At the moment, every time I change the enemy with tab button, it went to the monster that far away even though there are like 3 monsters in the front of my face. Additionally, I have problem where when I want to spread dots using tab button, it always went to same monsters. E.g. monster 1 >> monster 2 >> monster 1 again >> monster 3 >> monster 2 again. Not sure if this what intended or not.
I'd really love mod support --- I need a more customizable UI (rotate my bars, make bars split into 3 rows of 4, make them fully resizable... etc)
Also, all items are basically the same... I hate it
I would like to be able to swith Grand Companies please.
You can, although I do not know the specifics of how you do it.
I would like the list of targeted mobs that appears on the left side of the screen under your party list (default position) to show ALL mobs TARGETING party members, and not just the mobs that you have specifically hit with an ability. Some times there are 3-4 mobs attacking the group, but only the one mob you have hit with a skill shows up there. Please display all of the mobs attacking the group in this list. Thanks!
I would really love a "sound divice" option, loging off to switch between sorround or headphones is bad, more with the 1017 boss out there.
Companion improvements. The companion system needs an almost complete overhaul. It would have been nice to test this feature during the beta so this could have been hashed out before launch. Let us respec our Chocobos. Luquelot tells us in central shroud to "experiment" with the points for our Chocobo. It's a beginner's trap. He's lying to everyone! I put one point into attack stance and immediately regretted it due to the chocobo getting itself killed standing in stuff. The Chocobo companion sounds good on paper until you get it, then it's buy a bunch of items that only summon it for 30 minutes, and if you mount you have to resummon it, points that are permanent and limited in a game built on the philosophy of changing your mind at any moment. Conflicting philosophies that are a brick wall in the middle of an amazing path. (All of this looks like it is built in for the purpose of making the Chocobo just enough of a hassle that not everyone will use it thusly cutting down on the amount of on screen characters that need to be drawn by peoples' graphics cards.)
It's all needlessly complicated. The timer needs to go away. Let us summon our Chocobo like a minion in that when we dismount it returns by our side. The current system makes it a detriment to use. We cannot use the duty finder while it's out, and it auto removes us if we summon it (Which I had been waiting for a duty finder queue for over an hour when I learned this!). We can't use it in our class or storyline quests. The only use it has is for fates which you can't reach because you summoned your Chocobo and don't want to waste that timer. How am I supposed to appreciate the mostly iconic of creatures when the sytem by which I am supposed to be endeared to them is annoying?
At least meet us half way and let us get more than one Chocobo to use as different stances. I love my Chocobo, I've never been this happy to get a mount in a game before. I want to travel the land-side smiting evil and pecking eyes, not facepalming as he stands right in front of a Malboro and eats a full gas breath while I watch everyone else ride off to do fates that will be finished by the time I get there because they gave up on this feature.
A SORT INVENTORY BUTTON IS NEEDED!!!! LIKE NOW!!!!
Not being forced to close the game via Alt+F4 or some more extreme method if you press Start while gathering would be great. You get locked down and can neither move nor continue gathering if you pull up the gamepad menu because it closes opened windows, and that includes the gathering interface.
Now I can't get back on the server because it's at capacity...
One little quality of life improvement I'd like is a map icon for market boards. I really can't imagine how NPC shops get icons but player run shop listings do not...
Another thing I'd like to see is a map key. It can be hidden behind a map button or something, but it should still be accessible to anyone who wants to better understand the maps they're looking at.
Neither of those things should be hard to implement or take a lot of resources so it would really be great to see even these little things implemented ^_^
Add some NPC to the airship and ferry cutscenes. It looks so weird when I'm the only passenger on the vehicle.
I'd like to make a suggestion for the party list being able to be filled upwards as an option. That way I can move my party list more freely around the screen regardless of it's UI size. Right now because it fills up downwards, it creates an odd sized box in the UI layout.

Ideally I would have the party list at the very bottom filling upwards, and the party chat right next to it. The same could apply for the quest tracker, that way it doesn't overlap with other UI elements when I join a FATE, or a new objective with a long description appears.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-x...013_233247.png
This allows me to have a cleaner UI when I'm running solo, as I don't use the parameters bar to keep track of my info ( I'm a minimalist when it comes to UI and macro functions )
However, This is how it floats due to how it fills up downwards.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-0...013_231503.png
Additionally, a way to specify how the UI elements permanently overlap each other would be nice. If I want certain elements to overlap the map and stay that way.
I'd like to have a little bit more freedom with our UI. Maybe this could be sorted out with add-ons, which I'm very eager to develop. However, having a simple feature like "layering" (Permanently overlapping) the UI elements as stock would help. Almost forgot to mention a way for us to resize the target bar horizontally. Along with a feature disabling "Target to target" information and/or making it a separate UI element.
I want to see the current progress of a FATE just by hovering over them in my map.
I'd like to see fate exp nerfed, or scale the challenge with the number of players, or something.
The fate zerging is leading to terrible Bad Manners and is extremely unpleasant to put up with, and borders on being an exploit in the speed with which people are leveling.
I don't know if this has been suggested yet,
I would very much like an option to mute mount music. It is cute at first but it eventually can get annoying XD. Maybe I just need a couple more mounts to vary it a bit. I love the chocobo music but it loop so fast lol.
I'd like the ability to hide the Pet Hotbar, I'd rather put the skills on my "skill square" that I have going, and make more vertical space.
I would like when we mouse over an item in the inventory (or some menus), where it shows how many we have of that item in our inventory, that it shows both a normal quantity and an HQ quantity.
If you have an HQ version of the same item, right now it will just say "0"
Inventory Needs & Suggestions
Please add more options for auto-sorting our bags:
- Alphabetically as a whole inventory
- By Type (eg: Potion>Food>Materia>Etc)
- By Most Commonly Used > Rarely Used
- By Rarity (eg: Artfifact>Rare>Uncommon>...)
Please add the ability to View Inventory Space as a single whole window:
- Maybe a small button that toggles the current view into a single ba containing all consumable (non-key) items.
Please add an Inventory Window soley for Materia:
- This would be equivalent to the window displaying shards, crystals, etc.
Market Board Needs & Suggestions:
- Please add a direct sale option while viewing the message board that allows a player to bypass the option of utilizing a retainer.
- Please add a feature that displays average market price beneath the field where you enter your selling price.
- Please allow for Retainer Inventory to be auto-sorted much like the normal inventory would be based on the suggestions above.
There needs to be incease in the number of sound sources as FATES with lots of people in then can make the sound very choppy as it starts and stops everyones ability sounds.
This is not my systems issues as my system can handle alot more.
Please add a 'report to GM' option to the right-click menu in chat. This to easily report gilsellers. Added points for combining this with automatically blacklisting said person to stop the harassment.
I have another suggestion, as I think "I'm almost out of Gysahl Greens." Why not make Chocokeeps sell Gysahl greens, and also add buff potions, like the Potion of Strength, Potion of Mind, etc and let them sell those?
What I'm thinking is like, for example "Choco-Potion of Strength", it would raise your Chocobo's strength/attack/parry when used via the "Use Key Item" command, which could be relabled "Use Item" and adapted to allow use of items and key items.
(I still want a Death Gaze mount, too. :D)
A lot of ppl are complaining that they have to do fates to lvl up to 50 - best source of xp in games. Adjust it (lower it) a little so they will be happy as this could put more balance int exping content.
Also needed: A more functional trading post where you can see the prices and sell your items without having to go back and forth from your retainer to the TP.
Add the ability to queue in multiple classes in duty finder. That way, I think it will help a lot of issues in the long wait times in duty finder. Say I have a 20 CNJ, 40 PLD, and 50 SMN. I can go queue in to higher level dungeons as DPS or TANK, and at the same time queue in as a HEALER in a lower level dungeon. I think we have very long wait times because of this. Right now, I can only queue in for one - sure, I can change my class and try to level it up while waiting for duty finder, but it doesn't seem to let me queue for the current class.
First of all Auto logout after being idle for too long while a good Idea will not make any room for you to log in, Idle players put little if any load on the servers.
Secondly there IS a login Queue, so you're asking for something that already exists, but I guess its just limited on how many people it can hold at a time or just being restricted after a certain number for whatever reason.
Allow us to pre-queue healing spells similar to that of damage spells. (IE: Able to press the button / skill / spell halfway after the healing spell is done casting.) It's a bit annoying to be forced to press the cure button a second time after the previous cure is done with.
