What are the plans for the longevity of end game gear pieces? When a player obtains a current best-in-slot piece, how long will it last as such before something better will be added making that piece obsolete? Are there going to be pieces that will be very difficult and slow to obtain but which will last a long time?
Can you describe your vision for the 2.0 end game boss battles? How are you planning to make "classic FF elements" vs. "current MMO standard elements" meet so that the players who are used to either one will feel comfortable? Will the 2.0 end game battles be similar to the 1.0 boss battles, namely Garuda and Van Darnus Hard Mode, in terms of mechanics and difficulty?
I really like this idea. Maybe where people can request items to be crafted if they have the proper materials; much like that of materia meld requests and be able to put a message up regarding synthesis, such as "Please attempt to HQ the item 30% + chance Double Down yes please. Talk to me for bonus if successful in HQ for bonus."
Can you show us some concept art and/or describe some ideas you will be bringing forward from past titles to position this as a fan service title? How will you create a sense of nostalgia?
How will arcanist/summoner play with pets? will it be like FFXI when they cost mp per tick, be a one shot nuke or be free to have by your side and only there moves takes your mp?
Will we be able to interact more with the environment within dungeons and will there be puzzles and hazards we have to solve and traverse in order to progress as opposed to just fighting through hordes of mobs.
Is it possible to have player-created leves as item/material fetch requests where once the materials/items are turned in the payment made from the player's purse/inventory/exp bar?
Especially with experience it would be a way to "use" experience gained at level 50 and have higher-level characters help lower-level ones.
Interesting concept but either they would have make major limits on the exp based on the items created / harvested or not have the exp as an option because they are trying to limit Power Leveing. That would be just another form of it introduced if people could put up for 1 log to be gathered and put 5k exp for turning in.
Is there any way we can house share between friends, i know there is me and 2 of my friends that would like too would be a nice feature. Could store your stuff in "your bedroom chest".
Since we missed halloween event this year, it would be amazing if next years halloween event, since we have housing and streets if we could do real trick or treating. player has to buy sweets/candy and station on retainer at home. retainer will give out the candy and have prizes for both trick or treating and how much candy was given, just an idea.
There is a division in the player base between those who are considered experts at high level boss fights (Ifrit, Garuda, Raven) and everyone else. The High Level Group generally refuse to help the "lobies" or "newbies" and are often quite mean to them (us). How are you addressing this problem. Lowbies are being excluded from parties like Raven. Because of this they cannot advance.
Reporting these players as "harassing" is unfair and unwise.
I love this idea but it sounds too difficult since i believe housing area are going to be instanced. They'd probably have to allow permission for anyone to enter them during event and limit them to only going inside to look around maybe and talk to the retainers you have mentioned. Then the trick or treaters will have to go from housing zone to housing so on a list like the current maketplace system.
Isnt it better to unlink the system which only a weapon type belong to one class/job? in my opinion it limits our fun and the diversity.
This is the major flaw in the current game... It is not immersive. We need more immersion in the environment and better tasks/quests that have purposes... not just "kill and fetch". We need special events to happen more often. Interesting events. Not just kill this major boss. Some people like Big Boss fights. Many do not. Need more than just Big Boss fights.
Agreed, but don't want to divert the theme of the thread of asking questions (though I did want to address your supportive feedback). Basically my thought is that it would be comparable to the scale of leves currently. So if you turn in the log in 1.x and got, say, 100 exp from the NPC leve you could only offer 100 exp. Maybe, too, creating your own leves eats into your pool of available ones? Hmm I think I'll make this a separate topic in General Discussion as it may be an idea worth proposing.
EDIT: Here's the thread http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Personal-Leves
Now back on topic and to make this post fitting:
Will old holiday items be made available again for collectors who missed them the first time (such as the swimsuits)?
Will you consider letting us change what nation our character belongs to?
I recall reading in the past that players would be unable to change their nation due to already having progressed through the story. However since I started FFXIV my reason for choosing the nation I did has been negated, and with everything being revamped it seems a bit unfair that we would be unable to change which nation we belong too. I would very much like the option to belong to another nation, even if it means I have to restart the storyline quests.
Probably already obvious but I'm referring to Nation and not Grand Company.
Can we expect Producer Live Letters to continue on post this (IV) and into the future? I find it to be a great way to get in touch with the developers and in a way, get to know the people making the game.
Will the primal essences SMN will call forth have a list of attacks to choose from, a set of attacks randomly picked after they are summoned or they will learn them as you lvl up? related to this how long will the primal essences stay visible?
Will controller support for the PC version still be a priority?
Do you want to bring FFXIV - R² to Wii U ?
My question to yoshi is this : Do you like pepsi or coke cola better?
Will there be some type of gunner class or class able to use the Garlean's gunblades in ARR?
With the limitation to our inventory our ability to be able to use the armoury system to its full potential is going to be hampered..We will no longer be able to carry round multiple gear sets for the classes, never mind get drops off mobs etc...How are you going to get round this? Ive read about gear sets not counting towards inventory space but is that for every set or your currently equipped set?
Will Summoners be able to use whips and guns?
Will magic be limited by the current 30 actions per class limit? Or will we get a full spell book back like before the changes in 1.0?
I also would like to know when we should expect to see Puppetmaster!
Are there any plans of adjusting the Grand company vendors so we can sell old GC gear in exchange for seals (smaller amount of seals that were spent to buy the item)?
And also regarding Grand Companies, was said that we would be able to change to a different Grand company if we wanted, has this been confirmed to happen, and what will happen to all our old GC gear, are we going to be able to exchange it or trade it in for seals for the new GC we joined?
Can we have a Sync command? To make it easier to sync emotes for fun.
Red Mage, Blue Mage, Dark Knight.....I just want some beautiful concept art of either of them. Akihiko-sensei please throws some in! You, Yoshitaka Amano, and Tetsuya Nomura are the people I look up to as an artist! I've always wanted to see your designs for a Red Mage!!
We know there is a PC UI and another PS3 UI, but can we PC users customize our UI to just use keyboard (without mouse) just like FFXI or FFXIV? some of us don't like the WASD configuration and felt very confortable with FFXI system.
Will the road to lvl50 something memorable? or will it be just a race to lvl50 and do endgame like most mmo out there? I remember to enjoy each lvl in my FFXI life, of course I don't want a very slow exp->lvl system but what is the point to craft low lvl armor and weapons if we will hit lvl 50 in a few days or weeks?
Will this system that leveling a class will level the job aswell and viceversa remain? I was kinda disapointed when I found my MNK was leveled to 50 after a PL session with my PUG. I will like to enjoy my journey with every class/job to the endgame. And I hope there is no more PL exploit in 2.0 like it was in 1.xx, not only was very fast but extremly boring.
Can we get Wada to sit in during a portion of the letter? I enjoy seeing executives taking close interest on their products :)
Will a good amount of the music from 1.0 be transfered over to 2.0? For example, my favorite ost in the game was the Job music that you hear at the end of the first Mnk quest when you get the Soul Stone and it makes me sad that we only got to hear it used ingame for that small segment :( I would love to hear it ingame again in 2.0
For those of you who don't know the ost: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nd4boTASlkk
Darnus, who summons a giant "meteor" to destroy Eorzea, leads the VII Legion. Is this intentionally done to reference Final Fantasy VII? If so, will there be appearances of the other legions with stories having references to their respectively numbered games?
