Can we get female outfits that are a little sexier?

I like Eldaena's sketcheces, they re really fine. I liked white mage robe with big cape the most, lookd cool. Others are nice as well. Nice work, Eldeana !

I wouldnt mind some valkerie type armor for females. Some heavy armor for Gla. Futuristic armor would be cool for an expansion. Instead of going back in time like we did with wings of the goddess... we can go to the future instead.. Would be nice to see.

i want modern clothings for my everyday life when i entered my house in future.. :)

Yes, less skin is definetly more... I get uncomfortable wearing the crafting gear with the plunging neckline.

My suggestions would be to add lace/ruffles, and better shoes. slight heel or more bootlike. Like the current thighboots without the big cuff on top. It would be nice to for player's underwear to be visible under some clothing, variants on underwear types so I don't always have to wear boy-shorts.

If it really comes down to this can we get some thighhighs like on Scholar in XI?

Manako has good taste in fashion

Fishnet gear, like the black pants with fishnet inlays on the innerpart of the leg wear that FFXI ninja females had.
See-through transparent robes / dresses / hose. (obviously nothing too naughty)
The striped black / white stockings from easter event NPC's for all females!
More dresses , long short, leather, cloth, silk...etc
High boots, Pirate pumps (aka. Pirates of the caribbean boots / FFXI Artifact boots) or high level Dodoskin Shoes.
More undergarment choices for male & females.
Whips !

Side note:
Id love to see capes too one day, not to be WoW cloneish but FF could have their
own style of capes, kinda like scarf-capes or something, Vincent-style from FFVII & AC etc.

And finally, the one & only hot looking gear.... the white-mage artifact set from FFXI.

Id love to see this in FFXIV too, even if its saved for later when new classes are introduced.
It was perfect from robe to feet. (cept the wierd condom hat.) it should have been a hood connected to the robe if any, or plain make the head gear for itlook like a hood so if you can have the option to show / hide it.

Something like Agrias from FFT wore or Raveness from Tactics orge wore.
Lenith's Armor from Valkrye Profile would be cool
I loved Lulu's outfit from FFX and anything in the gothic or gothic lolita category would be cool.
Yuna's outfit from FFX was good too.
Skirts (nothing covering the legs) and dresses would be a nice addition.
Body suits (with and without armor on top) would be a little more risque, but could be something both genders could wear.
Kunoichi outfits would be a good addition.
I find corsets to be sexy.
Some people think black chokers are sexy.
High heel shoes and high heeled boots might be a good idea.



I'll add more when I can think of it.

I'd love to have some casual wear to be honest. A sundress and hat perhaps.

Hmm, I guess I would not mind a nice pair of black, white or denim blue jeans for my character. With a good body shape, the common jeans look can be sexy and still fashionable on the female characters. The trousers in the game do not really look like the trousers that come to mind for me at all.

Bayohne I would just like to see as I mentioned on several occasions in this forum, not really any specific type of gear but I would love to see regional gear as stated before. Uldah you could have some gear that could only be made or bought there that resembles stuff that people that live in the desert or canyon type areas would wear. Gridania would be forest clothes and armor etc. and LL you would have swashbuckling gear/ coastal type dress styles. LL would see the more revealing type of gear because of its coastal climate, hot and humid so you might find your beach style clothes or stuff that follow in that suit. I really hope you present this idea to the dev team and then they could figure out what bests suits what areas of the world and implement it for us. We really like to give ideas but some of us like to give an idea and see you guys elaborate and expand on it from there and surprise us.

There have been lots of nice suggestions in this thread. ^^ And I also really liked most of Eldaena's sketches, especially the white mage one. It is amazing how a little bit of skin and good style can make clothing so attractive. :)

But some of the suggestions make me cringe. Hot pants/micro minis and armor bikinis? Midriff tops and low-cut strapless tops? Really? :( I disagree with "just have female characters show more skin" and "less is more" as advice for the dev team here. I want to see some style, not skin.

Now that I'm done being a fun-spoiling prudish wet blanket :p how about:
- sleek-fitting knee boots
- side-button ankle boots with a low heel
- non-clunky flat shoes with a bit of a curled/pointed toe ("fairy shoes")
- more tights/stockings
- waist pieces that are more decorative or act as a small overskirt (would look great with tights!)
- long and mid-length flowing skirts
- short dresses, maybe about the length of the current tabards
- robes with interesting hem lines, such as an jagged or handkerchief hem

Nothing against Bleach, but I think Final Fantasy attire should stay away from anything that looks similar to their style lol. As for the Anima image, they are often extremely ornate and beautiful. It's a wonderful picture, but the armor is a little too intricate I think, but definitely something to aspire to.

this isnt exactly a new armor idea but ive been saying for a while on a few post that we should be able to take off the hood on my cowl with the /display head off text command. so the hood would just be down against your back.

A full dress that only mages and DoH can equip!
Some more types of thigh boots with heels? :)
Some valkyrie type of armor? I mean like more feminine types of armor when females equip them

I repropose costume slots

solves plenty of issues with introducing sexier armor (in that people dont have to wear it if it has the best stats)

Barioth/Kirin-type armor for girls!

Please add the following to your list, but I am sure the artists at SE have entertained these notions before. And note that these aren't intended to be slutty or anything, I'm just saying I would like these types of gears

Flowing materials:
Capes (not the cliché LotR ones, but I mean like Red-riding hood shawls and Lightning's cape from FFXII, or contemporary high-fashion ones from like Burberry)
Scarves or shawls
jackets with coat-tails

I want Yoshi-P's scarf on all my characters.

If I may interject, step the armor design away from the medieval period in which you all are currently designing them as. Instead reach for a more fantasy Renaissance. Make intricate designs on the armor to make them look different, the textures are amazing but texture alone doesn't look appealing.

I would like to see tiers of gear designs..

Slum gear (gear you typically see at very low levels like in ff11) -> Midieval gear (gear you currently see at higher levels between 30-50 in ff14) -> Fantasy gear (gear that Lightning is wearing from ff13-2) -> High Fantasy gear (extraordinary aesthetics at cap ranks only)

This swimsuit is lot easier for texture modding into something more interesting ^^
