You could be right, just seems a bit odd how the 2 would look exactly the same.

If a machine was made to replicate The Twelve's method of imprisoning him then I'd totally understand and say it was fine. But if a machine 'randomly' made Dalamud that way and then The Twelve imprisoned him afterwards using a technique that looked exactly the same... I'd say it was a bit weird.
Of course, if The Twelve imprisoned him BEFORE the machine was built, and they used it to imprison him the 2nd time, then I'd say that it was totally logical =)
Oh totally, I understand that they might have their own Primals. Maybe it was the Primals' presence in the tribes which turnt them into the aggressive Beastmen we know? If the Goblins decided to summon theirs in 2.0 then I see that they might become more violent...
Thanks for pointing that out =)
Also stands to mean that we could have Primals ourselves, but if we ever summoned them then they'd taint our hearts, too, meaning we'd become more aggressive and start killing/plotting. MAYBE that's what's happened in The Empire? They've summoned a Primal or something which has encouraged them to claim other lands (with advanced tech that the Primal may have bestowed them?)
I'm kinda going off on a tangent now.
The goblins are probably going to hate us for slaughtering them unprovoked outside of the gates of Ul'Dah at the behest of Kipih Jakkya, but that's another story. :P
I wouldn't say that's a far-fetched idea. Even with their hatred towards Primals, it's pretty clear the Primals require their undivided devotion, as per Ifrit's little speech in "Lord Errant". Hell, even van Darnus's little crusade was based on his now known Allag-knowledge, and I think some influence from Bahamut. He was more or less worshipping Bahamut in the end even though he never referred to him by name.Quote:

Ssssh, they startled us! =b
Hmm, you make a good point about Darnus. He knew it was Bahamut all along but still decided to keep us in the dark, even as he proceeded to draw Bahamut closer. We know the Empire has some kind of 'protection' against Primals... could it be a Primal itself? Alexander, perhaps? In which case, they could flatten the whole of Eorzea and still be safe themselves. Or maybe they have a method of controlling the Primals, in which Bahamut would be the perfect weapon for their arsenal. Scary stuff D=
I want ARR so bad >.<
