ilvl is a hella bad indicator if someone has enough gear or not, do holminster, bardam's or doma at min ilvl and do a normal double pull there, you'll see how much of a non-argument "it's enough" is
people should always be geared as best as they could, there's no excuse but laziness to not stay on top of your gear game even if you're the casualest player of them all

also, the same squeenix whose 500 ilvl dungeons (or even certain 50/60/70 dungeons) can be completed without a healer or tank? that squeenix?

So just to clarify, I'm not defending the OP here. I wouldn't be for or against him because we don't have the whole story. Everyone here is just making scenarios in their heads that could be right or way off.
What my comment was directed at was an actual in game issue that has nothing to do with the OP in question. People can have much lower stats then intended if they get the Ilvl requirement through accessories.
Also another problem with the current Ilvl system is the massive gap between 50/60/70/80 dungeons and the lvling dungeons. Since we get so much more gear at those lvls we outgear all the end of expansion dungeons. Lvling dungeons however don't really have better gear then what it offers until you get past it.

This right here is a perfect example of what I meant about expectations. That a double pull is what you consider normal in a dungeon at min ilvl is not right. When you run dungeons when an expansion first comes out, most people are doing single pulls until were able to out gear it.

Except the OP himself said that he died to 3 enemies in like 2 seconds. That alone speaks truth about his gear.
No one is making up scenarios on that part.

I've read this thread before I went to bed, thinking about pointing out the possibility of having an outdated gears but sleepiness took over me so I thought about coming back the next day...

Turns out I'm dead wrong; they're deceptively geared for the duty. ;)

Here I thought healing was too easy, healers WANT to heal but there is never enough damage done to heal, one heal cast per pack, etc...yet the tank died twice before the first boss and before anyone else?

That’s fair. You’re entitled to your opinion. However OP did say that he completed the dungeon with another party. We have no idea how fast or slow it was. I’m just saying I always check just to gauge how I’m going to focus and I don’t think that’s an issue.

Remember the 73 dungeon at the beginning of Shadowbringers and the level 79 dungeon? I honestly had tanks in level 70 left side gear all the way and yeah had to do a little bit more healing but it wasn’t to a point where I was spamming. I was still playing mostly how I usually play. I think people jumped on the gear wagon once someone brought up his lodestone profile. Just shows people are mostly followers.

I empathize with OP. If I was his healer I would of never done what the team did to him. He’s the tank. He sets the pace of the dungeon. He even said he saw them moving forward and went along happily. I know some tanks who are like “You grab it you tank it” people need to understand it’s a team effort. If he is the tank and he’s keeping aggro that’s what’s important. Work as a team to get the dungeon done. Simple. Don’t make things harder.

every newly released dungeon I've played since I started had people wall to walling them, only if the tanks/healers ability/gear (which is on them, not the dungeons themselves) weren't up to par/average skill the pulls would STILL be double pulls
almost every sprout tank that does whatever dungeon for the first time pulls double at the very least, though most of them are wall to walling as well, with the single pulling tanks barely existing
you got unlucky I guess, but single pulls are most definitely not the norm when it comes to new dungeons, even if gear just barely qualifies and isn't ilvl cheesed like the OPs is

Sounds like you skipped over the post and subsequent discussion. The tank died because they're massively undergeared for the duty and their HP melts within a handful of seconds. They fully admit to this, along with not using cooldowns to even help mitigate the damage, yet it's still somehow the healer's fault for not having split second reaction time to carry a paper tank through the dungeon?

Healers do want something to heal, something meaningful to heal. They don't want to frantically spam heals on the one tank just to keep them alive through single pack pulls. Not only is that dull, it's incredibly inefficient as well, since they can't even help dps down the mobs.

This whole predicament reminds me of one of those meme... enjoy :p:

We know it's slower than average from his stats alone; He can't magically transcend the mathematical limits placed on him by those stats. He either single pulled, or the healer had to constantly heal him and couldn't dps.

When it comes to capstone gear, ilevel is more descriptive than level. The GNB starter gear OP is using is of an inferior item level compared to level 60 tome/raid gear, so it isn't really the same as healing someone who wears scaevan gear into shadowbringers content. This is of course, completely ignoring the fact that he's wearing accessories that aren't intended for his role and don't meaningfully contribute to his character power.

I have no idea why you felt it necessary to add this. This is basically just a pointless, broad insult towards everyone criticizing OP, who was literally toxic towards other players after his demands to be dragged through content were denied by his party.

He managed to set the pace so fast that the dungeon only lasted two pulls, must be a world record. People who believe this kind of stuff are going to continue getting kicked from parties, and are going to continue to complain on the forums until whenever this game shuts down.
