Let me correct drk living dead last execly as long as hollow because living dead first 10s dont midigate dmg or do anything exept window that u may die in.
dead effect last 1s less then hollow because if u are at 1s and not gained any heal u are screwed anyway so no equal to hollow there.

+ LD is only of 3 that u will die if u dont get outside help.

loseing 1/2 of 1 mp of your mp pool to remove grit wont kill any drk drk remove grit use BS + Delirium and start dishing out dmg.
u forget fact that drk has biggest bunishment in tank stance when u drop to low mp <1500 mp and cant go in grit and due that eat buster raw.
what is bigger bunishment then loseing 50% stacks on any bar.

I could be wrong, I'd even like to think that I would be. But nearly every suggestion on here ties back to increasing warrior dps in some fashion.

And I'm not trying to suggest that people only care about their dps, I'm simply suggesting that if dps was higher a lot of current war issues would be overlooked.

While I agree that you see those, generally those are included in lists of all changes. With the key one being the removal of losing gauge and not having unchained/IB on shared cooldown. While those might be small dps increases (very small) then would make the class more enjoyable to play (or at least in my opinion it would).

As someone who was a ARR, HW and now SB WAR that is what I would like the most.

Another one just came to mind, while they get a infuriate for mana (which can only be used in combat) they now start all instances at zero MP and MP ticks only occur in combat.

(On a actual note, I would be nice if WAR could start all instances with 100 or even 80 gauge, would address how sub par/feels bad the opener is, but this would never happen)

But those are the biggest changes that could be made. Outside of just buffing potencies. War would be able to ignore damage penalty while building threat then switch to dps stance with no penalty or cost whatsoever. That's a huge boost. Not only that, it would really eliminate any choices you'd have to make. Lack of choices generally equals stagnant gameplay.

I too have been war tanking since days of first coil. All tanks in fact. I liked warrior a bit more because it's an offensive-based tank, but I never hesitated to switch to pld or drk if it was better for a particular fight. Though admittedly I was never all that good at drk, since I didn't spend nearly as much time on it as I did with pld and war.

Considering they'd have to rework the entire mechanic, and as a result screw over RDM/BLM/SCH/SMN/WHM/AST in the process... actually I support this thought process.

10 seconds is 4 GCDs. 4 GCDs at 75% damage due to defiance's -25% penalty is roughly the equivalent of 1 GCD, purely in the context of DPS.

This isn't true anymore obviously, since they changed defiance to -20% now. So you lose 80% of a GCD instead of a whole GCD.
