2nd Job Predictions

I really don't think there will be both "Ninja" and "Assassin"... because a Ninja IS an Assassin. there's little difference.

And, don't tell me difference is one is a tank because it literally doesn't make any sense to have both Ninja and Assassin unless maybe it goes Assassin into Ninja.

Mimes however don't use weapons. They just repeat the last action used, be it by allies or enemies. I can't see that job coming in a MMO due to the awkward mess it would be. Imagine it using twister on its allies again ?

Yes, in past FF games. I'm trying to consider the mechanics in ARR, where class skills are dictated by your weapon and job skills are added to class skills. Some of our current classes will need a severe re-design, it seems (Gladiator Thaumaturge and Lancer, I'm looking at you). Others could work with more simple tweaks, similar to what happened with Scholar.

I dunno about most jobs, but the way I could see dark knight being handled with the current system...

Sword/Shield, primary stats STR/VIT, GLD30 THM15, equipable actions GLD/LNC/THM

Lvl 30 Sanguine Blade(random made up name) Increases Auto-attack/skill potency, makes it so abilities that increase enmity no longer do so, allowing the gladiator based class to deal enough damage to be considered a DPS.
Lvl 35 ??? some sort of damage ability that debuffs the target or applies a DoT
lvl 40 Umbral Shield(random name again) Damage is decreased, while HP and enmity is increased, blocked attacks deal small amounts of damage, letting you use your gladiator tools to offtank if needed.
Lvl 45 ??? AoE damage ability that debuffs or silences the target
Lvl 50 ??? Ultimate move, preferably some sort of Dark Knight signature attack from a previous game like Dark wave/Minus Strike... I would avoid moves that sacrifice(kill you) as then people would use them to grief.

pretty much a DPS mirror of PLD.

Yoshida already said that the new jobs (aka second 1st tier jobs) would be able to bring a lo of changes in a class's gameplay. Remove enmity modifiers, add some, change buffs... All is possible, as long as SE comes with the idea.

Well can tell you the difference between Ninja and Assassin but I doubt you will like my answer.

Ninja - Unseen when they kill, so when the target dies you will just see the target drop dead.

Assassin- They are seen when they kill, so when the target dies you will see someone go up and kill that person.

But all jokes aside Ninja being an Job upgrade for Assassin seems like a good suggestion.

Just a thought, maybe when the release the RDM job/class, they will also release everyone class's 2nd weapon, so the RDM will have both a staff and a sword?

FFS NINJAS ARE NOT TANKS.

GLD > Sentinel - Because dual wield shields are the most badass thing in the universe. It'd be another GLD tank job, but, so what.
PUG > Master/Blackbelt/name TBD - Tank job with dual wield bucklers for deflecting/parrying stuff, cos dual bucklers are almost as awesome as dual shields, and because I wanna punch stuff while I tank.
MRD > Berzerker - Dual wield 2h axes. Level 30 move would be a super berzerker strength stance that lets them equip another 2h axe in their offhand. Or a smaller axe specifically for OH use. They'd have to reanimate the MRD moves to work with DW but.. whatever :D

Edit: Also I know a couple of these don't work with the current armoury system limitations but, so what, they can always change up the system a tad and make it work.
