This game has sexual themes in it. So that means that from a rp stand point. These players are doing what the world itself has in the lore, and openly talks about at times. Most of the ERP advertising says 18+ from what I saw and has nothing that a kid has not seen if they been online.
Also the ERSB rating also says that it changes because it is an online game and community meaning Teen is a guideline for the story, not the community.


I feel bad for the adults also being victims to kids lies as well. You all thinking about the kids, but kids will lie about age, to adults as well. Think of the adults victims as well due to the lies :(

NSFW mods and ERP exists for years in ANY MMORPG. And it was neither a secret nor a big deal until... some streamer put his foot into it. Interesting, isnt it?

Well, you do support them or not? And it is not about that stuff like this will happen anyways, cause kids are kids.

Every country the game is available, i believe, has laws that would send you to jail if it came out that you are sexting with a minor. Which people ingame obviously do. And in this case it's your responsibility as an adult, like irl, to make sure you don't just tumble between the sheets with a underaged person.^

It is one thing to get lied to by a person saying they are 18+ and they are in fact not. It is a completely different story for ERP roleplayers etc. not to care at all with whom they are doing it and just running with their meat out and a blindfold on through Ul'dah.

But yeah mods aren't the problem and neither is ERP, the people doing that stuff are the problem cause they show complete disinterest with whom they might have digital intercourse. And that is the majority of all ERP players. It's kinda concerning if you don't care if the other party is underaged or not. Speaks not for you. (Not meaning the quoted person with that ofc.)

Pretty sure they stopped cracking down on it since no one has made a thread about it since all that drama happened and the RP community exploded. Also, the issue was advertising the service of selling ERP, 18+ venues that did not involve it were left alone. The issue isn't 18+, the issue is selling sex and having your prices listed publicly on the PF through a link. Those who didn't/don't have been fine and are still operating normally (my friends who own 18+ venues didn't even get touched).

I'd be more concerned with that fact than why 2 adults want to erp in an MMO.

Side note: not all teenagers act the same as others. I had a few young people in an FC and they were repulsed by the idea of ERP venues. Perhaps let's not lump all of the minors together under the flag of "They'll go look because they're curious." when some literally don't even want to step inside the door.

Lastly, modding does not equal public displays of ERP/being lewd...mainly because it's done on your end and no one else in game can see it unless they install the mod as well. Not sure where you were trying to go with that point but figured I'd letcha know.

Thats quite normal, its about dominating your "forum adversary", not to actualy help anybody real. SJWs did that since they started to exist on netspace.

Just because you re not against something, doesnt means you re supporting them. You just dont care that much.

So ERP just RP with having their meat out? I thought its just regular RP with some spicy details... .

I can understand that ERPlayers dont care about others age or gender. They care about the character, not the player behind it. They doing their RP with that character, not with the person.

Do you really want, that other people know such private information about other players? How do you even know, if those information are correct? Do you really want to know, what the other person is doing in front of his/her PC right now? Are you checking if each player is over 13 everytime you enter a dungeon? Propably not.

Thats the difference between Sexting and ERP. Sexting actually contains real and private information. ERP is still fictional. And even when ERP happens between a 14- (Roegadyn player) and a 24-year old (Miqo'te player)... Its not sexting between a minor and a creep. Its harmless RP between a Roe and a Cat. Not even more harmfull than h**tai or EFanFiction on the internet. Who do you want to judge then? The game? The players? The parents? The society? You cant.

The adult player for engaging in such acts without realizing the responsibility they have not to do such things in a space in which they might encounter a underage player.

Well, then judge yourself, too. You re entering dungeons with potential minors or children without asking them if they are actually old enough to play this game. Its like building a sand castle on a playground with someone else's children. Tell me, thats not creepy... .

As true or not true that might be, it doesn't matter. It is against the law, no matter if you just imagine your characters doing it or yourself. And i speak here from a moral standpoint and law wise.

It is literally illegal to engage minors, in any way, with such stuff. No matter if it's roleplay or sexting or just shoving your uncovered tail into someones dms. There are no "grey" areas when it comes to that. Same as you can't say irl that you put a mario mask over the kiddo before molesting it and thus it's alright cause it was a male plumber in that scenario. All that might achieve is giving you an express ticket into the next loony bin.

And speaking from my personal standpoint, i know it's a complex topic and you can't just ban everything and this problem will probably never be able to be solved. But still, i think it's gross af that you (not you you, the erp player i mean) just doesn't care. Heck i would care a lot whom i'm about to duck.
