No I don't. And that's because I don't that I thought it was dispellable.
If it's healing that is needed it's even easier without a healer : War, PLD, GNB, RDM, SMN phoenix, DNC. Do you need a full list ?

I will also go for the wait and see approach. Gamers in general are very emotional beings and having "callings for a crusade" aint something new or unique. Without going into details but obviously a lot of people have heard about the problems with WoW and Blizzard(both the game and Blizzard as whole) and there was multiple calls for boycotts, protests and etc. Rezult? In a weeks time, everything was back to business as usual and people arguing about the newest hotfix.
Precisely. And suddenly our community forgets all of the good our dev team has done when they don't get their way and throws them into the same boat. If this strike hadn't been poorly planned, poorly timed, and less of a petty temper tantrum in response to a video, I'd be on board for a positive change. But I know better than to put own concerns behind a strike created out of spite. They'd never get read that way. If people want to hurt their own cause, I hope they're not surprised when they don't get the response they want.
Your response just shows how ignorant you are to how long the healer complaints have been going on then, it's been an issue ever since Stormblood where they began to dumb down healers and remove buttons and lessen skill expression, starting with Cleric Stance, which, while I will say it wasn't a bad bad change and made the healer role more comfy and less stressful for skilled players, also began the slope of oversimplification of healer jobs into its lobotomized iteration today.
Healers have been complaining for YEARS about these very same issues and SE has refused to listen expansion after expansion after expansion.
I'm personally not striking and think it's pointless to do so, but the reason is because I've seen SE ignore healer complaints time after time after time and still continue to lobotomize the entire role. They do not care about job design being fun or allowing for more skill-expression, all they care about is making sure that the dumbest players are still effective at the role and making the bar to entry for healers simply being able to faceroll the keyboard and hit a few heals on their keyboard as their singular brain cell bounces around their spacious head like a DVD screensaver.
But at the same time I won't knock people for trying, for still clinging onto the hope that *maybe* SE will listen to us, and hell, I don't think the healer strike will work on its own, but I do believe that there's a possibility that they'll listen to healer complaints and actually do something if the backlash from DT causes SE to re-evaluate their formula and begin to actually start taking risks with job design, the story content they release, and modifying their MMO content formula to actually be new and exciting.
With how badly they screwed up Dawntrail, there's a possibility for winds of change to stir up and freshen up parts of the game that SE keeps neglecting or outright ignoring, or at least that's what I'm hoping
I’m not playing healer anymore, that’s the entire point of the strike, I’m a PCT main now
I’ll still talk about them here but I’m gone from them in game
If you felt the need to make a forum account specifically to tell others to shut up you might need some introspection but that’s not my prerogative
Eh, I work in a job that gives me oodles of free time while I’m working and if healers improved I’d play them again
That’s the long and short of it, if you want to look into my “unhealthy relationship with internet complaints” then please go right ahead, I’m quite happy just doing my own thing
Ah, so if they do play healer, they should shut up and stop complaining if they find it boring, but if they don't play healer because they find it boring they should stop talking about them. You see the catch 22 here? At what point should criticism for healers be heard? Or would you rather stick your fingers in your ears and pretend everything's all perfect in your bubble?
You're free to replace us, it's in your power to queue as a healer. All the strike is, is a bunch of healers telling Square why they don't find the healing jobs fun and going to another role instead. That's it, that's hardly childish, childish sounds more like:
And if you don't queue as a healer yourself, how dare you boycott healers! All that shows is how immature you are! You deserve to be either ignored or scolded!
You definitely read one word and it did irreparable damage to your psyche, the movement existed for years but added the word strike to get more attention and look what it got
Rent free, living in your head rent free
I just had a delicious bowl of fried rice and you are posting about other people's imaginary feelings and actions in your head
How is boycotting childish ? If you think that you can change things simply by discussing them, I'm sorry to burst your bubble but that's not how things work. In real life, you obtain things by being the one in the position of power, you can complain all you want but you're never gonna get anything for you as long as you still participate in something. I don't even understand what is the big deal with all of you, people don't like healing anymore so they play something else. They're paying a sub and are entitled to have fun, the only reason you're whining is because it makes your dps queue atrociously long.
lol what a load of bs the reason im complaining is because theyre being a bunch of effing whingers theyre as bad as every protestor irl, i hate people with that stupid mentality of "oh its shit, imma just bitch and moan and disrupt everyone elses day to have all the attention on poor little old me wah wah wah" also no i play tank my queues are fine. try again fwit
"I hate protestors" is wild
as someone begrudgingly playing healer through this first half of the expansion (to get raid ready)
i think the strike is pointless & funny.
like - i feel that healer is meant to be straight forward, boring and un-dynamic.
its not meant to be engaging outside of heals and ressing a party. they do have pretty magic tho and glams are okay.
there has been disgruntled healers since the ShB changes to the class so this is nothing new.
but i think the video re-opened the door that held all of the ignored complaints about healer since ShB.
i dont support the strike- but i get it. maybe healer will get a small revamp in 10+ years if Mr. Yoshi-P is still able to grace this world & cares enough.
But healer is meant to be boring based on how it has been altered over each expansion. some perhaps like its simplicity, but its simplicity has also widened the "im a healer, i dont need to dps" tunnel too. its like working retail, youre expected to all the things and help others, but get very little in return while dealing with people's BS. it can be a thankless & unrewarding job. But tank can also get the same treatment at times.
and since it doesn't have any dynamic play style or any fun inside of pve, and now some players have made it look redundant. So what?
although ive cleared dungeons without a healer. but it was due to the healer incompetence or DC. the video is nothing new or special.
Just posting about it serves the purpose of the strike: to make dev team aware that there is a significant dissatisfied population of healers and that they want concerns addressed. Concerns that I have heard and seen repeatedly since at least Stormblood. They are valid concerns. Don't support it if you don't want to, I support it and am not healing, I'm just not logging in unless necessary. No striker is forcing you to join or agree but thanks for boosting visibility regardless
