Why not just use the safe spot? It saves you from getting paralysis and the vuln stack. Mainly asking because the one time I've seen someone try that on my dc, they inadvertently or otherwise clipped the entire party with it.

Fully agree with the thrust of that though, same applies to the adds in stigmascape's third boss. Just ignore them if you're willing to dodge the aoes and your party damage is sufficient.

The paralyze and vuln stack is nothing to me. No real loss on me using Esuna (the paralyze rarely procs) and any concern by the Vuln stack be covered by a Divine Benson. If a party member gets hit, it's just a quick esuna and a use of one of my oGCD heals that have been off cooldown since the start of the fight.

You can literally heal the fight with Regen only. The mechanics are that sparse and under-tuned.

I also communicate before the fight that I plan on stepping on mines to cheese mechanics. Sometimes I get tanks who volunteer to alternate stepping on mines.

My only issue is if you eat green dps give us a dmg rotation blue dps gets a oration why don’t we get one. Mashing one button is not fun how hard is that to understand? The healers who don’t dps fine they don’t matter because they are never going to dos anyway but for those who do give us something so it’s not mashing a single button over and over for ninety levels!

I see half the duty finder DPS don't even use their party buffs, some don't even hit their AOE combos in trash pulls. Clearly DPS have too complex rotations, at the very least all the buffs should be turned into traits.

Oh right but SE doesn't see DPS as subservient players who only queue in to make sure others have fun.

I unironically believe every dungeon boss and even some trash pulls should have enrages. It's infuritating taking 40 minutes to clear expert roulette because your dragoon doesn't know jump or battle litany exist.

Yeah, while I don't believe it's necessary for normal content to be all that punishing, it'd be nice if there was just enough of a DPS check to warrant gently explaining the very basics even in normal content.

Currently the only time I feel the need to point out some obvious at this point is when I see a Lancer in a +45 dungeon. Why bother when you know the player is not going to be doing any content where basic competency is needed any time soon? It should not be toxic elitism to give some pointers like "hey don't use Cure 1 unless you are out of MP, haha isn't that Freecure trait dumb right?", but when you as a tank can compensate for almost everything but straight up AFK healers, what's the point of communicating anything that might be interpreted the slightest bit negative?

It's not often, but don't some of them? I'm not sure if they'd be party wipes or not (because I've never seen them get all the way full), but like the Garlean twin girls you fight at the end of one (Ghmlit, maybe? Where they do some combination attacks and only one is targetable at a time, then at the end, both together and they power up some kind of ultimate attack?)

Again, not frequent, but there are a few, and people had to get through them to level up to 90.

It's not COMMON, but I have seen this.

I remember doing an Innocence Ex (when I was trying for my first clear) and one other healer (did about 3 runs they dropped party) legitimately only cast their damage nuke and maybe their DoT.

How do I know?

When I died (someone kited the swords into me), all healing stopped. I watched their cast bar fill with Glare over and over again. Then a DPS died. Still Glare cast bars. Then a tank died. Still Glare cast bars. Then the healer died - this was 15-20 seconds later, so ample time to cast a heal or raise or SOMETHING. Well, that stopped the Glare cast bars. Then the other tank and remaining DPS died.

Then people left the group.

It's EXTREMELY rare, but it does happen it seems.

I also don't understand people blowing Swiftcast on Glares in PuG content. It seems to happen frequently, too. If you aren't even seeing enrage because of deaths and such, saving Swiftcast for Raises to push Prog seems to make far more sense, but maybe that's just me...
