Au'ra conflict with lore?

Yes, but them being shapeshifters would imply that they are real dragons. that would be a bit over the top. But just a bit :D

I meant as justification for an ease of crossbreeding. And we see everything from small things about the size of a hawk, and nonflyers as "true dragons' in game. I don't think there's really a point where you can discount more humanoid forms.

Dragoon quest line.. summery.. The Eye and Nidhogg.

If Dragoons are meant to fight against dragons then. Au'ra probably fight with them in a manner like the Dragoons in XI. (speculation)

Whether half demon or dragon. Remember and I'll quote "Despite convincing research by top academics from around the realm and beyond, most Miqo'te scholars refuse to believe that there may be some ancestral connection between their race and cats (fat or not)."

I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same thing with the Au'ra

I would be intensely surprised that an expansion that is about dragons would add a dragonish race that was completely unrelated.

Actually that is a community misconception. Miqo'te are humanoids with feline traits, sure, but they are not related to cats. Or at least, lore says they do not consider themselves related to them, so hunting other felines shouldn't be an issue for them. I for one never call my Miqo'te a catman or kitty or anything of the sort, and was actually glad when SE backed up my stance if only a bit with the fat cat minion.

Hyur are Miqote who have the ears and tail of apes. Some sort of Miqote ape hybrid.
