Did something got changed?
For me this week was currently without noticeable Lags. But I feel a high overall latency.
Provider: Deutsche Telekom
Connection is DSL/LTE Bonding Hybrid (66MBit/s down, 12MBit/s up)
My physical distance to the data center is very low.

Ping and tracert (DSL Only, LTE Disabled, direct connection without bonding tunnel) confirms observation.

Hi. My friend wrote in the topic about the lag on NA servers(though he is from EU). Then the lag and disconnects were gone from him. He put his trace up to the servers. I have identical problems as he does. A very large delay(10sec-5min) and disc in the "Duty". Above I've attached my trace, is it possible to help me and him?) Translated in the Google translator. Thanks.

Hi, I realise that these kind of issues take time but since this has been going on for almost 5 months it would be really nice if we could see what kind of progress has been made. I love playing this game but it's infuriating to not be able to enjoy it to the fullest, and I feel like having an entire data centre suffer from the same problem for this long shouldn't be happening, especially without any official posts on the lodestone saying that they're even aware of the issue. Here's a trace which hopefully helps the process of getting this fixed.

Can I ask why this thread hasn't been made into a sticky? Or a new sticky thread created by a mod. This thread has been consistently top of the board for a while but if you're saying that it's important that you get traceroutes and such from us shouldn't it be stickied to prevent it from getting pushed down and potentially missed?
Also, do the mods have ANY information to give us about progress other than "we're looking into it". Literally anything at all.
We are keeping an eye on this thread so there is no need to worry about anything being missed.
Unfortunately, information does not get to us until we are ready to post an update. Because of this, I do not have much information regarding the current status of the investigation that has not already been said.
When an update becomes available, we will be sure to post it here.
Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
Still no news or any feedback? Frontlines are still unplayable. Getting constant dc's and half of the population inside is getting mass dc. The lag is also very high and noticable. Eureka has issues as well but Frontlines are way worse.
Hello everyone,
Ive been monitoring the link off and on since this issue started for alot of us.
After checking the back log of plottings, the offending link (kddi-ic-319844-ffm-b1.c.telia.net) seems to have been changed out (it has for me anyway)
Continue to post your traceroutes if you have any issues.
In my situation, the amount of disconnections since these changes seems to have improved vastly, but its too soon for me to tell.
Sythen,
Thank you so much for keeping us updated! Good to hear that the disconnections have improved. Please keep us informed on if this continues.
Thank you again!

Hello everyone.
Thank you for bringing your latency and disconnection issues with the EU Data Center to our attention and for the continued reports on the matter. These reports have been invaluable in our investigation. We do apologize for the recent lack of updates as we work to research the root of the problem. We can gladly confirm that there is no issue with the Data Center itself, however, we will continue our research in hopes that we may find a solution so that everyone may enjoy the game.
It seems that, at least for some of you, the situation has improved and the latency/disconnections have been placated. We would like to know if this is still true or if you have been experiencing the same symptoms without this lapse. Any additional information you can provide will be beneficial in helping us solve the problem.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

Still having some lag for months, sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's not. So I don't really know anymore, but what I do know is my internet is pretty fine.

Nothing has changed, I still get lag in instances constantly. My whole raid group, who are scattered all over Europe, experience the same consistent lag and occasional lag spikes. Please do not think that a few posts on here from people saying their situation is improved means that the issue is completely resolved. Earlier today for example the entire Chaos datacentre had mass disconnects, this may not be related but it shows that there is still a lot of work to do on improving server stability.
