OP: I disagree with your thread. Actually I agree with everything EXCEPT making it easier to get drops. This is what separates the raid from feeling wowish. Shudder... I hate even saying that, but it's true. Wow = everybody has same gear. boring. I think it should be ridiculously hard to get, have variety, and not require 25 man parties like wow does. 8 is fine with me. or even 4. Hell, even DUOing a dungeon for tough items would be fun, to me. But making it nearly impossible to get, hey thats where the fun is at!

well at least for me having a hard mode dungeon and a very hard almost impossible dungeon would let us have the best of both worlds, people could get good gear from easier modes and get the best gear possible in the hard mode dungeon, so if you want to have the best gear in game you have to work for it, you can make a few trial runs in the easy mode to get know the dungeon, and do the hard one as long term end goal. i like having challenge in this kind of games, makes me feel that i acomplished something.

This way we wont have dumb down dungeons challenge and of course a dungeon mode where we can go to grind for exp and get another fun way to level up our classes, but im not saying that one should be for r30's it should be for r40's or even 35's because after that point it gets pretty slow the exp farm.

The easier mode (not too easy of course, maybe the same difficulty we have now in Darkhold) could be timeless, so you can take your time to kill everything you can, it could even be a different route and leave the very hard mode with timers and all the challenges we have and more puzzles.

As you can see there are a lot of good things from other games that could be applied in this one, but with FF style, and please SE dont make us farm seals or badges in dungeons i hated that from WoW.

Having to select "modes" for dungeons takes away a lot of immersion for me. I can see it now... *Huge UI pops up stating the name of the dungeon, a picture, and a checkbox for easy/hard mode* ... <--- F**K that! I want it to feel like I walked into a cave if the dungeon is in a cave. If it's in a forest, then I want to feel like I wandered too far out into the forest, and deep within I have become trapped in a settlement of monsters, a dungeon, and now have to EPIC-ly fight my way out. And also, having rare mobs or NM's would also be a good add to dungeons. like say a 1% chance of having X_Monster spawn, said monster would drop cool loot, and when it dies you get a buff. Etc etc..
Just make this game immersive, SE. That's what we all want. The true MMO fanatics. (I guess anyway, but I know I do!) I don't want a screen full of bars and windows, or menus and pictures. I want the game world in my face, I wanna explore, I want challenges, I want dialogue and voice overs all the time, I want epic quests that take me around the world to places I never knew existed.

i gave up reading after the 1st 7 pages because it was all the same of back and forth crap. the basic for this raid is to not be stupid and to get to know the area so well that its 2nd nature, work together and leanr each time to get it done packd. I run this raid maybe 4-5 times a day wiht alot of different jobs and ppl. its all about gear and subs really if a player can be a problem or be ver ygreat for your party setup.

the best setup i had was mrd,lnc,pug,archer, 2 con, and a thm
i dont see a glad or all archer in that setup. the skeles died in about 1 min

everyone just needs aoe moves that can hit flying and ground mobs as u can see mrd lnc pug and archer have all of that
im also sure eveyone has seen doc.mogs videos and posts but i still havent won his way and i dont care to change mine

One post I read I really like is make all the items drop from the final chest. just make the sword or bow a Super rare drop or shit, that'll about equal out to how many who actually have the 2 items.

Now before I hit submit and call down the fire of the heavens upon myself, I would like the people who wont take a step back and put urself in other people shoes to feel their disappointment and probably agony because they cant do the run right or have to go back to rank up a job from scratch just to make others happy or receive one item, to chill the F out guys. Did your mothers raise you to be so cruel?

BTW Rogue hope your still reading this. I know you received a shitload of hate from this thread, but know you you arent the only who who feels this way, and you just posting this thread bring it one step closer to making the devs realize Elitism is the same as segregation.

maybe you're not intrested the definitions, but doesnt change the fact you mis-labeling the people who like a bit of a challange to a game an elitist jacka$$. so let me ask you this, would you pefer;

a) Running around for a hour doing a quest that has absolutly noting challenging about it's just time consuming and easy.

b) A a quest/fight that tests the skills you have gained from playing and lvl you're Class up to lvl 50.

you should also chackout some of the reasons the OP got flamed, think you'll find it was cos his complaint is that only one party setup will work to complete a speed run on a R45 dungon. i can guarntee you this is not the case, more only 1 setup is known to work at the moment.

How bout he first accomplishes one thing before he even tries to open his stupid mouth to spout out the absurd lol.

there could be a difficulty setting where if you beat it on full difficulty you can at least get bragging rights but everyone will atleast be able to complete and get the gear..

I have seen several LS fall apart from this, my own has been impacted as well slightly. The way i see it, the people that actually care about their friends are the ones that stick around. I'd rather give every member in my LS a batraal victory then do a single speedrun (even though I am well speced for it).

One of the reasons for this forum existance is to report percived problems with the game. If someone sees a problem (or something which he belives to be a problem, this is open to discussion) with something (in this case it's mostly about class balance from what I understand) then it really doesn't matter if the poster completed the run or not.

Until you personally have been in there adn completed it a few times all complaints are void.

On what grounds are ur complaints solid enough based on just your observations and lack of experience of the topic?

So, if 100 people starts to play the game and manage to level to a point where they can enter the final raid, which only 5 people complete, then what? The 5 people can decide whether or not dungeon is good or bad, and 95 people can take a hike? What if the dungeon is such a hot issue, that 40 of those 100 people leave the game? This is just an example, but it illustrates why all players should be entintled to opinion. FFXIV is commercial enterprise, it needs it players. And this is why they should listen to them instead of "you haven't completed, you don't have the right to say. You gonna leave? fine, leave."

BTW, I'm not saying I have the right to say whether the dungeons are good or bad (althought from what I heard, the classes are inbalanced), but if someone tried them (not nessecerly completed) then I think he's entitled to his opinion just right.

I think his point is valid, but for another reason. Mostly at why can only the sword/bow drop from there when most darkhold weapons can be outdone with HQs of crafted weapons. Just my 2 cents.

I'm not an elitist and i commend the difficulty of this dungeon. It's not like you have to camp 24++ hours for hnms in ffxi. You can enter the dungeon and try again in merely 5 minutes. Practice makes perfect, no? Maybe i just have an awesome shell. No grinding dungeons and no arc only.

P.s. we're offering services for speed runs if you so desperately need those two pieces of gear.

The OP (well, I think, it's up to him to say) percives this as a matter of imbalance not difficulty. That's a little diffrent kettle of fish.

Also, if you look at him alone, then you may be right, but apparently there are quite few people agreeing with him. So, at the very least, it's not a single person, but a segment (small or large, it's hard to say) of the playerbase. Aside from the fact who actually speakes on the forum, on few first pages the OP and "his" crowd seem to get more thumb-ups then those disagreeing with him. That would indicate that it's actually large minority, or even majority that percives the existance of class imbalance. Or bad raid design.

Also, in the end, it's up to SE to decide whether he's right or not, but they can't do that if he doesn't voice his opinion.

I just want to say that if you have ppl that you know that don't have alot of DOW jobs up to add to your mains..group them all up together and do practice runs..until you guys can come up with a way to beat it..there are many strategies that can be found online...you guys can research them and come out with a strategy that will work for your group..I really like YoshiP's approach on their contents so far...it forces players to think outside the box..don't give up..

the weapons dropped inside only top the hq1s not all hqs and if u was a glad ur not made to do dmg ur made to be the castle wall to defend the other ppl... the sword dropped inside gives pure defence which any glad would die for.. most of the other weapons is jsut bragging rights really because they not that great

I would keep replying but Haji has hit the nail on the head a few time, its just that people are too stubborn to see it in a different perspective.
