No job during 1.x and 2.x, until you would call "organization leader" (Path of Twelve during 1.x and the Scions during 2.x) a job.
We will see if she get a job in 3.x
Show me the scene she died.
Last time we saw her she was very alive.

Because she is a hyurean midlander masterace. Only the hyureans midlanders can be attractive.
''Hyureans midlanders masterace ! The legacy continues...''
papylamo is worse of the lot.. wish he gets killed off asap.. and we get to see the gorey death ._.
I've actually liked her more then the other scions. So I'm glad she's coming back. Haw has made the scions much more intresting to me then ARR, made them more then one diminsional. Well, HW and talking to them all between each quest in the 2.xx patches helped flesh them out. As for hot, well.... She's attractive, but so are most females in the game.
You're right. I should be more sensitive to the fact that Eorzea might not have access to waxing. Especially in the Seeker of the Sun tribes. How racist of me.
(Keepers master cat race)
It's close, but I didn't have any Rare Candy to evolve it when it hit level 38. So it's stuck as an unevolved unibrow. :(
(That is a Glameow into Purugly joke, for those who don't play Pokemon/are not familiar with the newer games.)
I'm not saying it's from Azys Lla, but it's probably from Azys Lla. Those gosh darn Allagans and their crazy experiments.
I really can't tolerate people who dislike a character because they believe they are of no use for them, it sounds so selfish. Does it really matter that she could fight or not? She's not really someone who's designed for the job when she's more of the brains and manages the group, with the help of Urianger. EDIT: While all of them are scholars, only Minfilia and Urianger really have the time to do more research.
Keep in mind, the group Minfilia, Tataru etc. came from (which is called the Path of the Twelve, a group of people who posses the Echo) and the group of Y'shtola, Thancred, Urianger, Yda, and Papalymo (The Circle of Knowing) merged to create the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, hence why she seems so different from the rest of the notable characters in the group.
I'm meh about Minfilia but the reasons why people dislike her is just absurd.
I may or not have draw Minfilia in the past having lewds with my character... Just leaving it as that.
Can only speak for myself but I don't hate her it's just there is someone in the story that does the exact same thing she does but more active about it. That person is Alphinerd unfortunately... -_- (I f'ING loathe that guy with a passion)
I don't understand why some stories have characters that do the exact say thing like did it occurred to them that these two can fill in the same role? When I think about if they had switched roles the story would had played out closely the same. And it actually make more sense if she did.
I wasn't there for 1.0 and all but from what I gathered she evaded capture for a long time. You mean to tell me that all that time on the run she has no battle Exp but this sheltered bloody half pint does? The scrip is not doing her any favors.
She's alright I guess nothing compared to Jean. Though I do wonder what kind of skimpy costume they will give Minfilia when she returns.

Get a girlfriend.
Minfilia...Where do I begin?
On topic, she is attractive in a shallow way. Blonde hair, amplified assets, tiny waist, revealing clothing. I'd give her more credit for her looks if SE had made any effort to make her beautiful without automatically cashing in on every trope in the book to do so.
If we're talking personality, she's an exposition character. Not to give them an excuse for making her flat and non-dynamic, but the point of her is to push us through the plot, explain things, and give us something to do. She's bland, but at least I understand why.
Regarding her being "revived," I would have been happy if they had killed her simply because it would have been unexpected and they would have dodged a cliche. However, the moment I saw her run off the screen in a cliffhanger ending I knew she was coming back - it was only a matter of when. Unless they literally die on screen, like two white-haired elezen I can think of, they're going to be back. Honestly, I would have liked it if they had killed off all of the people they implied were dead at the end of 2.55 and "ownership" of the Scions passed entirely to Alphinaud who, while working through his issues of failure and inadequacy was forced to git gud. Would have been much more interesting than, "the scions are coming back, you get one per patch, please look forward to it." Very predictable.
If she comes back a bamf, I would still kinda feel meh about it, because it's another stereotype. Personally, I would like it if she (1) came back and (2) had some deep revelations about herself while she was away and then (3) acknowledged her weaknesses and personal failings, (4) was penitent about taking the Warrior of Light completely for-granted and (5) resolved to try to have a more active leadership position and depend on you as her crutch less.
Like that'll ever happen.
If you read Minfilia's dialogue throughout the MSQ and before and after taking quests. She repeatedly thanks and admits she relies on the WoL too much, she also goes through a period of self doubt and grapples with her past and her current leadership.
I kind of felt sorry by how much she was apologising every time she asked me to do another quest.
True, but she doesn't make any effort to change her reliance on you. She just feels a little guilty about it.
If her "mothercrystal" episode has inspired her to take more personal responsibility in a tangible, actualized way it will be totally worth the cliche "cliffhanger ending - is she dead, just kidding she's totally not, but you knew that," thing they pulled.
Only Scion worth ever caring about is kinda dead so meh. All Minfilia tells you by being half heartedly apologetic about using you is that in the end you are just a tool of the Scions and that without you they are pretty much nothing.
Most of your actual allies to give a crap about have been systematically removed from the equation of relevancy. You know allies that actively supported you and got crap done.
I think you only really have Cid left that really means anything to the WoL, or the Jobmasters.
She never actually died though. It wasn't even really suggested. I'd feel quite the opposite if she just turned up dead because it would seem like such a lame way to remove a character from the story. If your going to take a important character out of the story at least do better than she thought of something and ran off alone into a dark tunnel (which had been collapsed behind us by that point to stop pursuit).
That said I do hope she is more proactive in her new role. Life as a manager didn't really sell her well. In the end though I don't think you will see her become a fighter. She relies of the Warrior of Light as she does because while she has the echo, she lacks the sklllset and possibly the talent to go physically toe to toe with a primal. Hey at least she did the paperwork. That would be a really boring MSQ quest. Read through a 40 page report on crystal shipments and look for any irregularities.
In my first post, I totally said this thing. Almost exactly.
My only minor gripe is that I feel it was suggested in a very superficial way. It was meant to elicit feelings of worry/concern from the audience, while simultaneously giving us hope that she'd be back. Bleh, it's pretty cheap storytelling imho.
Again, I agree with you. I think turning her into a warrior when she is obviously not one would be very cheesy. "More provocative" is a perfect phrase to describe where I would go with her. More intrigue, more wile, more politics. 10/10 with use of that phrase.
Which before he showed she was doing. If that's the case why was he even in the story when a primal is present. Plus both of those duties goes hand and hand. That's why she seems useless cause they both have the same role. One of them can easily do that. Using what you just wrote Alphinerd did BOTH jobs in heavensward to prove my point.

Oh cmon you have to be joking lol she has pretty long legs.
The 2.x MSQ has a lot of story lines involved (Mainly Primal investigating, Ascians, the one concerning the Crystal Braves and Ul'dah, an introduction to the Dragnsong War, etc), and Alphinaud is part of the Scions, so of course he'll be in the story. Besides, he is aware of Primals but he instead fortifies the Scions' relations with the city-states, so he did because of his influence and goals. He was more present with the investigation for Garuda however, but that is because the Scions were missing. With Coil, that's just it in his involvement in Primals... in ARR that is.
After that he never dealt with other Primals that much again, until Heavensward in which the Scions were missing again at the time.
While both of them can do it, that just means two brains are better than one to deal with it all.
Thats the thing he and she are doing the exact same job. She has as much of not more influence then him. She is actually more important to the story then he is. (She has echo)They made two characters for 1 job and don't know how to write their way out of it. And truth be told her coming back will be the same as it was before. Two characters doing the same job unless one of them is getting a MAJOR character overhaul. (Likely Minfilia)
She may as well stay gone because she has no role anymore. Primals, politics, coordinate the scions, one person job. No need for 2 people when it's been proven one is enough.
I'd rather ask the question why is she so useless... being hot and badass is one thing being hot and useless is another.
Give me Yda anyday

I dunno, finally get that mask of and be greeted to eyes like these probably...

Least I don't recall her ever taking it off.
She no longer has the mask in a certain cutscene.
But that means we'll probably see it in the near future. /shrug
