Excessive amount of lv50/60 synced content is dragging down the skill level?

The duty finder doesn't care all it cares about is making full parties however possible

The second you start shifting the rules you end up making everyone wait longer.

Would you have those 23 level 90 players all wait in queue for another level 90 to join that fills whatever the last spot is..

Would you have that one level 50 player sitting g around waiting for 23 other players below level 60 to queue. .

The best way to e courage more variety in duties is increase the rewards. If ct can be done in 12 minutes and nets you 50 times or x amount of exp. Then something like orborne. Should net you double that amount.

But when it's the same reward regardless sof what duty you get it's no surprise people bait there ilevles and such to ensure they get the quick ones

Also, in the case of ARs, anything outside CT is optional and many people have not unlocked additional raids.

I am not one to gripe without offering a solution, and I did so. I said either yank the CT raids out of the roulette and make them their own roulette along with thoroughly compensating the players who are beyond its requirements, or redo them completely. Again, I will say if these instances were fun to run, this would not be a problem. And while even the instances that players find the most fun can become trite and tiresome through repetitiveness, this is still less likely to happen if all the instances within a roulette are truly randomized. The bigger the level discrepancy gets between lv50 and max level, this worse this gets. Like I said before, "Why even put Aglaia in the roulette?" What are the odds that 24 players using the roulette will all be level 90? Seriously?

This issue has bled into Raid roulette as well, as more often than not you are being thrown into Alexander. It is not as bad as alliance raids, but it is quickly headed in the same direction. It is also not as bad because many of the Alexander raids still require brain cells as many mechanics are still relevant, and can be a fun experience to have with the newer players. Even today, Cruise Chaser still wipes groups when he's <5%, and it is an absolutely wonderful humbling experience for players who decide to take their foot off the gas pedal too soon.

Personally, I would GLADLY wait another 20 minutes in the queue to get an instance that takes 30-40 minutes to complete. And that is an easy decision too. 10 times out of 10 I would take that over getting CT yet again in the roulette. Trust me, when content is actually fun to do, rewards are a second thought. They are the hot fudge under yummy ice cream.

I don't think anyone's mentioned it here so I'm just gonna point this out as well: The Free Trial. People have unlimited time on the free trial, and are capped at LVL60. What do you think they're going to get when they want to run the roulettes or do what high-level content is available to them?

Really though, this just feels like a lot of whining about people a person may view as being 'not as skilled' as them. I don't think the dungeons are lowering the skill cap or floor or general level, and it's not because of laziness or anything else. This is not meant to be an insanely high skill game, it has content for those players who want that challenge, but otherwise, while it's not mean to be easy, it's also just plain not intended at all to be this huge challenge where it takes you multiple tries to beat a dungeon (although that can certainly happen while trying to figure out mechs).

An addendum to that, many high level players will also lower their ilvl on purpose to force CT, which adds to the frustration of seeing it. I think a lot of the complaints about CT would start dropping if the ilvl cheese was dealt with. I despise seeing CT in a full 24 man of high level players. I'm okay with CT if I see that glorious New Player Bonus kick in, since I know the roulette didn't get cheesed for it. But otherwise I have to assume it was cheesed unless a relic questline has been added for the expansion. Look at how many times people had to run CT back for the Resistance Weapons for an example. <_<

No new player means nothing. People can be levelling different jobs, going after another relic weapon, doing WT or just queue for CT to go with a friend.

I mean that’s another flaw of the roulettes, why is CT so prioritised with other areas, we don’t need CT to be on wonderous trails, we don’t need the repeatable step of the ShB relic to require CT clears

Levelling alt jobs is sort of fair but we dont need even half this amount of incentives to run CT on top of it being the only required alliance raid

Pretty much agree. It feels like nothing in this game matter except what's going to be on the next quest (MSQ).

Gearing it's useless
Farming dungeons or normal content it's useless
Learning your job have no impact because every encounter it's scripted to 1-2-3 stack or dodge Aoe.

It means something right now because of ilvl cheese. If ilvl cheese was eliminated, THEN it would mean nothing. But every time I enter CT, I suddenly see somebody's HP bar drop because they're resetting gear. That's a red flag.

So ok someone can cheese it but what does this has to do with no new player? Someone else could well be leveling a job or had specifically queued for it for other reasons.

It is a mandatory raid series and people have to be able to complete their MSQ, it is required by other quests, some people are level capped and all the other raids are optional ( I am not unlocking other raids until the end of EW on alts and that is my business and I have zero intent of unlocking the Void Ark series raids at all because I don't like them nor the last Nier raid because it hurts my eyes). All in all, there is a broader need for CT. Simple. I have never stripped btw. I think you miss the point of roulettes which is primaily to fill needs.

Besides on my main I regularly get Nier (I quit if it is the last one because despite adjustments it makes me sick) and Ivalice raids when I bother with roulette. Roulette is optional so why not queue for something else? When I want a specific raid to pop, that's what I do. Why take CT off from WT? It is a decent task and it doesn't take forever and leaves time to do other content.
