Interesting, does that include for new accounts as well? Because Blizzard has a separate introduction for new players and I don't think DK/DH can get into that new intro.

I am a WoW refugee who started when ARR was the only installment of FFXIV thus far. Around level 30, I did take a break from FFXIV for about a month, but then I went back and didn't take a break again until near the release of Heavensward. I don't exactly know how to answer the question, "What was not announced?" because I don't know. I do know what hasn't been announced for FFXIV, and that's an improved glamour system, graphic updates, visibility of headpieces for Hrothgar and Viera, female Hrothgar/male Viera, and other QoL stuff I can't remember off the top of my head, that hasn't been implemented due to "lack of resources," which makes me wonder every time I see that, because I've never worked as a game developer, I have no experience nor wisdom in that occupation, so I don't know what exactly "resources" are. My guesses are staff, and whether or not they're adequately trained for the job, budget, time, software (Unreal Engine), other projects, and events.
But then I hear things like how the development team took it upon themselves to give us flight in ARR, because it was not planned. It makes me wonder if "lack of resources" is really that valid of a reason for things like... giving Hrothgar and Viera visual headpieces/hats. I still think that's silly.

ONe seems more related to character models and gear or maybe RPG ...who knows. The other they did just because they could and did not bother redesign the zones to actually work with it so you cannot really land anywhere lol
There's a lot of bitterness in this thread. Why don't you all have some mint tea and calm down.
It's not hard to have a better housing system than a game that literally doesn't have one.
That being said while WoW garrisons were very flawed and were not housing at all (for non WoW players it was basically a fort with very little customisation, you didn't even have your own bed) they did ensure every player could have one on every single character. No one had to worry about someone else getting one first. They at least got that much right.
not gonna lie when i saw island sanctuaries, I had flashbacks to my MOP farm I had and I got a little excited.
