Instanced housing wouldn't work with the neighborhood setup. At best what you could do is have a little enclosed area surrounded by mountains or something tucked away, and that be instanced for each individual or FC to buy and place a plot on based on cost and make little upgrades to it like a pond, trees, waterfall, etc. But then people would stop using the neighborhood housing. You don't want instanced housing to be superior to it with no effort. I don't think housing is something everyone has to have equally.
SE's housing system doesn't favor anybody...

I don’t really understand the desire for exclusivity either. Everyone is paying a sub fee so should have access to everything available in the game, especially since housing does offer som extra gameplay that you can’t acess without one. I mean If there actually is some tech reason that they wouldn’t be able to implement instanced housing enough for everyone who wants it, then that’s one thing, but to not do it so that people who are able to to get houses can feel special and superior is ridiculous.
If it is true that there is enough housing for less than half the player base that’s a problem. But they don’t want to do instanced nor do they want to limit housing to one house per player per server, and they have made it abundantly clear that they cannot add enough wards under the current system for everyone, so unless there is a major change made, there will never be a remedy for the situation. It doesn’t seem like SE or the player base actually wants a resolution to this. SE maybe doesn’t want to admit they messed up in the first place and players like their exclusive ownership of houses and don’t want to give up owning 8 of them on a single server. -

FC houseing a case for inclusivity can be made due to workshop and supplemary content but there’s still no way to make that much room for everyone. Personal housing for all? No way.Quote:

The only solution IS instanced or a instanced and non-instanced mix. Perhaps non-instanced for Free Companies?
Take a look at examples like ESO and such, gardening would be of no issue either. The "community feel" has never existed really as people are not too social in wards.
There is a bigger picture here, and the solutions they are doing even despite the latest talk of they are working on a way for everyone to get a house when reality is... they are just adding more wards
