I liked open world bosses in XI like the HNMs and sky, they promoted competition. Open world dungeons though? I like things like the strongholds, areas like that, but a full on multi-boss open world dungeon just doesn't sound right. I'm all for instanced dungeons and open world HNMs, promotes competition on two fronts. This did a good job of exposing you to the game world even after you hit the max level. I don't know, I personally like HNMs, maybe they don't need a timer as long as they do in XI, but the competition is nice and just being out in the beautiful open game world is nice for things like that. I hate to see an entire game world go to waste because the designers made it just for leveling. Seeing the Chimera in the 2.0 screenshot, which looked to be in Coerthas, and the whole Odin roaming thing as well as open world content like Strongholds gives me a good feeling that Yoshi knows what he's doing when it comes to a balance of instanced content versus open world. Hopefully things like Crystal Tower are instanced.
