I was wondering if maybe sending your retainer out on Ventures you can get a quest thing or something over there telling you when its done. Retainer returning can be missed if you are crafting in auto-pilot mode or doing a dungeon.

Maybe this is not the right thread, in case point me to the right topic, but have seen developers answer here sometimes.
1. I love all my mage classes, but i can't use the SMN and SCH to their full potential, because the skill points have to be divided 15/15. Can't you make the SCH soulstone like some cleric stance and swap the int with mnd ? Arcanist was a dps class and logicaly the distribution of skill points should go all to int. In the end i have to use only my WHM and BLM in serious endgame because of this. This is sad : (
2. Locked coils. Please make only loot locked in new coils, as one has pased one turn he can't loot there for the week, but let him participate in the same turn again if he wishes to. Don't lock away friends. I like to play with all the members of my FC and other friends, and this lock out only separates us. : (
3. Atma complais. There have been a lot of complains about the atma part of zodiac saga. I wont be adding mine, but please respond to the people that simply want an answer. The only thing that was said is that you will look in how to make the continuation (after animus) less tedious. A litle more comunication arround the atma part would be greatly appreciated.
I'm using a 360 controller on PC, and didn't think this worked as the LB button was configured as autorun. However, just tested in Thanalan by using Miasma on a group of mobs and if I hold it down LB (Left Bumper) while standing still and using up and down on the D-Pad it does actually scroll through the enemy list- wish it actually showed this in the configuration page seeing as it knows I'm using a controller (rather than only showing me the keyboard keybind for doing so) ><. I even googled this the other day lol. Thanks for giving me a hint as to what to look for, this will make life so much easier. (I still autorun if moving obviously but that's not a big deal).
This is probably not too popular but it's something I'd like to see -- Ability to have character portraits when you click on them, kind of like WoW does right now. I like seeing a small portrait of who or what I select, even if it's a still image and not animated I just like that.
Has anyone suggested this--and if they have, has there been any answer to it? The thread's a little too long for me to check everywhere now.
Is there going to be any way in the future to tell when you have an item in your possession but not in your personal inventory? I cannot tell you the number of times I've run off to gather something after a cursory check of my retainers, only to come back and discover I had it all along and just accidentally missed it when scrolling through the retainers' inventories... Or accidentally buying gear for an alternate class only to remember afterward that I got that item from a sidequest longgg ago and stuffed it in the inn chest for storage... Some sort of indicator that we already have that item, even if it didn't bother to tell us exactly where, would save so much time and gil.
I know its up there already, but let us bind wheel up/down please!
For PvP, instead of "Fresh meat" can we get the class/job of the player? Sometimes it's hard for me to tell from far which which is a healer and which is a DPS mage.
Can we have it so when turning in gear for Grand Company points, gear in our Armoury Chest isn't displayed? Getting pink and green gear from dailies every day is starting to irritate me, seeing as I have to scroll through all my crafting gear to find what I want to turn in. If gear is in my Armoury Chest, I'm probably using it, and not likely to want to trade it in (see: all crafting/gathering AF). If it's in my inventory, I'm probably not using it, and want to trade it in.
Eyebrows for male highlander plz
Progress bar over FATEs on hover on the map please! Also, ability to choose which map markers are displayed independently such as quests, FATEs, etc.
not sure if this has been mentioned. too lazy to skim through all 200 pages of this thread xD
-able to preset customized HUD for each class
We need a 2 hour trade window between participating members and/or the ability to pass after rolling need or greed on dungeon/raid loot to prevent accidental mishaps like what happened in my coil run tonight. :/
I think the Commendation system could still be worked on. Right now, if you group with a person before entering a duty, you can't give commendations. While I agree with that, it screws the other players out of commendations when they really deserve it.
Now:
PLD and DRG pre-form a party and get teamed up with a WHM and BLM. At the end of the dungeon, the PLD and DRG can't dish out commendations to anyone, even if the WHM and/or BLM were really good and deserve the commendation.
Proposed change:
PLD and DRG start a party then enter a duty. At the end, their names are grayed out, but they can still give commendations to the others. In other words, you can't commend people you enter the duty with, but you can commend the people you are teamed up with that weren't a part of the party before.
Similar to the "Show only debuffs cast by me" option, can we get a "Show only my damage" option?
This would require, from a coding standpoint, to separate out our personal dots from the overall global dot damage tick on the target.
Or, with the above personal dot separation code in place, change the color of "our" dot damage, and our pet's damage, to match that of our personal damage, orange by default.
If nothing else, it would make Summoners FEEL like they are actually contributing, instead of just keeping dots running on the mob.
#1 on my List, More Housing Space to put stuff in your FC House. 100 for a Small, 150 for Medium, 200 for a Large seems very restrictive. 100 per each level would be more on the mark - 100 small, 200 medium, and 300 for a large FC HQ.
#2 - Smarter Use of Leeches and Ensuna spells on removing the more dangerous debuffs first, not the last one cast on you.
#3 - Ability to send friend requests to people, EVEN if they are in a DUTY.
#4 - A Rare FATE (bi-weekly) that spawns in only one of the Cities or its Residential Districts as an Attack by the Garlean Empire or some other organized group.
Larger crest displays on shields. The Ishgardian knights all have nice, big arms on their kite shields, and mine is an itty-bitty thing. I have a sad.
Could we please have some more dances that are slower.
Osprey needs them so he can grind to his slow jams.
Whilst in the beginning of the release I loved the idea of having to do every dungeon cor story purposes, I would love for the story to be skippable by alts. Only if you have finished with your main. This would make it less time consuming and more enjoyable for everyone.
Also, add a crossplatform voicechat to the game! Would make for a much easier life fornps players
I didn't read all 1948 posts, so this may have been mentioned already.
But why can't "/P" or "/FC" commands work? Is there a technical reason for this?
I have fat fingers, and I'm pretty bad at typing, so I'm constantly hitting caps lock without realizing it. It's frustrating having to scroll back through a wall of text I just wrote to change the "/P" to a "/p"
I would be very happy if this was changed!
Can we make it so that when the chocobo companion is out the mount roulette still works even if it only defaults to the company chocobo for the duration your companion is summoned? one less button to put on my hotbars
sweet! this is something I think about almost every day while retrieving items for crafting.
Sweet! Thanks!!
Can we please also have a "Switch to Retainer X" button on our Retainers & an option to "Equip to Retainer" directly from their inventory (rather than first having to withdraw).
Any chance that we will be able to use materials directly from our retainers without having to withdraw them first as long as we meet certain criteria such as being in town or a certain distance from a summoning bell?
use /autofacetarget
It doesnt say its doing anything, but it works.
Changed to BLM, have it on, used Fire, faced target. Used /autofacetarget, turned (enemy now at 90 degrees), used Fire, 'Target not in Range'
"/? autofacetarget" says:
[6:55 p.m.]USAGE: /autofacetarget [subcommand]
→Automatically face target when using action.
>>Subcommands:
on Enable auto-face.
off Disable auto-face.
Toggle between on/off when no subcommand is specified.
(if on/off not given, it switches between on/off to the other)
Currently, the parameters bar is one single HUD element - HP, MP (CP/GP), and TP...all on one single horizontal line.
I'd like for this to be split into three separate parts, please, as I'm not keen on the horizontal configuration. I'd like to vertically stack each bar (like most common JRPGs do), and in doing so, this would allow me to reconfigure my HUD much more easily to my liking.
In addition to this element change, would it be possible to allow us to horizontally shrink the EXP bar a bit more? It currently only goes so far down, and I'd like to make it smaller in horizontal width.
Thanks for listening, SE. Keep up the outstanding work.
L3 button forces me to dismount, even when all functions have been disabled from the button.
Please make dismount also removable to I can use this as a push to talk button
Please allow abilities which can be toggled on or off indefinitely be given a macro line to do so.
This is especially useful if learning a new fight, reapply the ability after death- or when initiating a level sync (where abilities are wiped)
Examples:
/ac "Shield Oath" on
/ac "Shield Oath" off
/ac "Defiance" on
/ac "Defiance" off
/ac "Fists of Fire" on
/ac "Fists of Fire" off
This would be nice. I can't tell you how many times I've been raised mid combat as a tank, turned it on then fumbled my hotbars and accidentally turned it back off. I also don't see a good reason why these don't just persist through death.
Enable old OST when avalaible.
In ffxi you could use the search command "/sea all" and you would get results telling you how many people are currently in the world. This # showed up in the chat log; saying "X total players found in all areas" or something similar.
I wish we could do something in ffxiv:arr that would let us see this number. It serves no purpose but to feed curiosity I suppose, but would still be nice.
Sorry if this has already been posted.
Please increase more ways for FC members to obtain FC points.
My suggestions;
Allow us to spend our GC seals on items that increase FC Points (like an item when used adds to FC points)
Increase the number of FC points allocated to members for completing content together
