Yes!
Let’s just start using Lalafells as chairs! Perfect size.

This is blatantly false and is one of the most common things people from NA say. Yoshi-P has already said on stream that lalafell are not children, they are not meant to even resemble children and had their design changed to be that way. The idea of have non-adults/children as playable characters was banned by higher up's due to rating from online interactions etc. Yoshi-P literally said on stream that lalafell don't even look like humans. It's only NA that has this problem of saying all lalafell look like children, but are too ignorant of the quests and content in game to realize they can't make that blanket statement without calling the developers pedophiles as well, or as a minimum that the developers put significant implied pedophilic content in their game in content, npc scripting and dialogue, and lore, which isn't much better politically. But people don't want to realize they should be careful with how they word things.
This is the main strawman that pisses off people in the lalafell community. It's not irrational, it's with an implication of experience that most people aren't aware of. Primarily that people inside of the rp and gpose community use things such as that chair as proof to treat them as children despite being a race that the developers of the game say to not treat as children, that are not even supposed to look like humans according to Yoshi-P himself.
Yoshi-P: Lalafell are not children.
NA People: But they have child-like countenance. (ignoring that a child-like face is no different than someone having a child-like voice but being an adult or not being I'll say physically gifted as a female)
Yoshi-P: Lalafell do not look like humans.
NA People: But, but, they look like children. Look at the emotes and voices. (ignores the deep voice options for lalafell and that miqo's have a slutty emote, but that doesn't mean every miqo is a slut)
Yoshi-P: We will never have children playable characters.
NA People: I don't care what you say, lalafell are children.
Yoshi-P: *adds baby chair into the game with lalafell description*
NA People: See, I told you lalafell were children!
Lalafell: wtf Yoshi-P...as if we didn't have enough to deal with already.
NA People: See lalafell, more proof you're meant to be children! Some of you are pedophiles and deserved to be harassed and witchhunted for treating lalafell as adults when they're children.
Lalafell: so we're just gonna ignore everything Yoshi-P said...
NA People: Yes.
Lalafell: Yoshi-P, can you remove this chair please. I'm tired of people harassing me and calling me a pedophile in-game, on twitter, on discord and trying to exile me from communities because they want to ignore everything else you say and do with the game.
NA People: Why are you getting mad over a chair bro? Go outside.
Oh my god you are not the spokes person for Lala players.
This is your brain on RP.
Sounds to me like you did some pedo shit and got called out for it.. Can you creeps understand that you RP weirdos arent exactly the average player? Go do your thing in 2nd life or something.
That moment when XIV players have nothing else to do in this game besides AFK and complain about problems that don't exist.

Removing the chair isn't gonna stop anyone from being harassed. The reason people ignore the dev's comments is that everyone has already made up their minds on this issue beforehand. Everyone who has played through the story has seen the heavy presence of Lalafell in leadership positions being treated as adults, so it just comes down to whether you personally can look past their size and childlike appearance, which some people can't. The presence or lack of any in-game item, piece of dialogue, or developer's note is not going to ever change even one person's opinion on this. The number of being rude to Lalafell players is going to stay exactly the same regardless of whether they added the chair. Lots of RP and gpose communities tend to attract a lot of toxic people in general, and most are honestly just better off not interacting with. Just block, report, and move on. It's really that simple.
At the end of the day, it's just a cute pastel chair. I don't really see how the devs giving Lalafell a childish chair is any different than giving them childish emotes. If anything, it makes practical sense that they would need a chair with high legs to see over tables sized for other races. The color palette is cutesy because Lalafell have always been the cutesy race. There is plenty of other pastel pink/white furniture in the game, I had a lot of them in my previous house which was a Lalafell bakery, and it fits in with those furnishings very nicely.
Or people used an inspect tool to fake discord conversations for a person that was never able to be found, but anxiety and trauma has that effect on people. And nice insult calling every RP'er a weirdo. And you're definitely a spokesperson for lalafell considering you're not in the RP community where the majority of the significant lalafell issues are at.
Hence why I put a line saying "as if we didn't already have enough to deal with." Just because a problem exists doesn't mean you get it to make it worse as much as you want. If it's something as simple as changing a dye or removing a text that could help in the smallest margin of minimizing, that shouldn't be off the table with feedback.
That sounds like great advice to me. NSFW lalafell is disgusting. They have toddler like bodies what the hell possesses people to make nsfw with them? Ostracising creepy weirdos is normal and I hope it continues, lala nsfw enjoyers can stay in exile where they belong thanks. I don't want anything to do with people like that at all.
