It's already bound more effectively. If you go in as PLD, then you can only "need" on PLD gear. That's how it should work. Only a BLM should be able to need on BLM gear.

Would be nice if Focus Target showed the targets MP if it's a party member. Would be nice for Bard, at least.
They are. I think they might have even said this earlier in this very thread, but I dunno for sure.
They aren't breaking any rules or stealing anything. If you want gear for a certain job, you need to be playing that job. Otherwise don't use pickup groups.
Your way is just another way for greedy people to gear up jobs that they never play for the sake of grabbing gear.
Not sure if it's been addressed already, but the ability to recall or disband party with Chocobo while inside a city would be nice. I hate when i teleport back and forget to recall, then I have to go outside and recall before I'm able to join DF.
God, people at general forums... they are stealing when they agreed on something and ninja lot on it. It's not for greedy people, it's for versatile players who actually play MORE than one job.
I have two jobs above i85 which could benefit the group, but I will always be set to the one I need to need on. Which winds up in more waiting time, or risking getting a player who doesn't know his role well.
Yeah nice, that way we have to wait an hour for tanks and healers because no one wants to switch and risk their drop getting taken. Solid idea.
I'm sure it's been mentioned but I would like to add a +1 to an option to be able to always skip cutscenes for dungeons you've already ran. In CM they are particularly annoying, but even the opening cutscenes and the defeating the boss cutscenes in Sastasha, Tam-Tara, and Copperbell start to grate when you've done them a hundred times in Duty Roulette.
I'd actually like it if whm had an 'afflatus solace' type ability in this game, even if it only triggered on 'over cure' (cure III). Afflatus misery.. could be nice as well when enmity goes crazy.
I would like to see intractable emotes with other players. Like hugs or something.
I would love to be able to hide our mana, health, or TP bars individually instead of an "all three or none" option. Right now it's clutter to me because most the time I only use one out of the three bars on several different classes.
We need Garlean invasion events
Who don't know them, they were like FATE, but in a much bigger area. And a boss general spawned at the end.

Just imagine it, Mor Dhona full with garleans or garleans attacking wineport and taking the whole zone under their control^^
Don't know if it's been noted already, but I found it irritating. When you're crafting, if you only have HQs of a particular material, make it select those automatically instead of having to manually click the counter arrow on it before synthing.
We should be able to see the TP of our party members. I mean, why hide it? For Bard particularly it would be nice if we could see party members TP; I don't need Mages to tell me that their MP is low, I shouldn't need DPS to tell me their TP is low.
I don't mind having to pay for the Gysahl Greens(cost the cost is pretty much negligible) to summon my Chocobo, but for gods sake, either make it so they last longer each rank up whenever they are summoned or just get rid of the timer all together. Right now it actually feels like they last less time each rank up.
When we're in a FATE area but not taking part in the FATE, let us switch our quest tracker back to showing us our quests. It's currently really annoying when FATEs pop up right on our quest targets. If we're over-level for the FATE, we can at least avoid the FATE mobs by just not doing the level-sync, but we can't get our quest tracker back until the FATE ends.
Also, the option to not take part in a FATE is currently limited to those for which you would have to level-sync. Give that option on all FATEs. When we enter a FATE area, have it pop up in the quest tracker with two buttons (where the level-sync button appears now). One of those buttons would be for joining the FATE (which would include level-syncing for it if necessary). FATE mobs would be non-aggroing and un-attackable until this button is clicked (like they currently are when we're not level-synced, except that this would apply regardless of our level). The other button would be to say we're not going to join the FATE, which would set our quest tracker back to showing us our quests.
Hiya peeps,
Just a quick one from me.. Can we get an icon on the maps for any dead players? Be nice for us with raise type abilities to easier lend a helping hand...
Thanks...
Would be nice if we can give commendations at any point in a party, it seems kind of sad that people who end up watching cutscenes at the end of a fight can miss out on giving commendations entirely (I'm looking at you, Praetorium).
Did anyone suggest sub jobs being able to use secondary class weapons/skills?
Don't like having to roll greed and losing a melee ring as a Drg to a mage in Coil.
just one nitpick
when your playing with standard movement settings (character based) your feet don't move when your rotating your character...
if you watch someone else do the same thing their feet move as they rotate. i just find it odd, and immersion breaking.
Sound = choose v1 soundtrack
Greetings,
Previously we mentioned that we had no plans to implement a glow on fishing rods when a fish has been hooked; however, based on everyone's requests up until now we have decided to improve the visibility when hooking a fish and will be adding this glow. :)
That's terrible... one thing this game doesn't need: more glowing balls to identify stuff.
I just find this ridiculous.
Instead, you could simply add a pop-up flying text: Something has bitten!
Or a visual effect where the screen focuses on the fishing rod and the music changes, or something.
But a glowing ball? No thank you.
Please also add an option to turn the glowing ball off.
We already just need to press 1 button to reel in the catch, if there a glowing ball to top it off, better make it the fish is automatically reeled.
Seriously... spoon feeding is just terrible.
On controller it start to vibrate if something hooked.
We need a mouse with rumblepack ^^
Instead of glowing, I'm more for a sound effect. The current sound effect if something hooked is a bit too qiet
fix is coming ... a 3rd retainer
Visible Gear Degradation:
Can there be different equipment meshes that show damage? For example: (% = durability)
75-100% - looks like it does now.
50-74% - some chips on metal, gashes and cuts on leather and cloth gear.
25-49% - more serious chips and cuts and gashes and stuff, in higher concentrations.
1-24% - whole pieces of equipment are missing (likethey were cut off)
0% - More parts of the gear are gone. It looks like "Okay, I should prolly repair this stuff soon".
If you look at the CG pics of the party that survived, when they come out of the portal, their gear looks dirty and gnarly. Meshes like that but in game. Put it client side so we can turn it off/on depending on our rigs/PS3.
If it's a lot of work, it gives the artists something to do =D.
What we really need is a fish bag.
The lack of inventory space is really an issue the moment you start fishing.
Make a separate fish bag which may contain all your fish and bait.
That isn't something that is necessarily broken...per se. Just inconvenient for some players. What they're improving here is game mechanic that may prove difficult for people to identify. Sure it's not broken either, but it's "game breaking" for some players who have trouble.
Agreed. Most of the baits, just like most of the fish, are utterly pointless. I honestly have more of an issue with potions and food; a food/potion box would actually be a nice addition. Keeping my meals in the same inventory space as raw fish, and worse, seems terribly silly...
Numbers 225 and 226... I don't know why I even come to this forum anymore.
Bad at fishing? I have at least one of every "legendary." I've had my Luminary since 1.0. I've caught well, well over 22,000 fish since 2.0 started. I know exactly which baits are useful, which aren't, and what fish does what. Yes, I could cut down the amount of bait I have, make sure I only carry the five or six that actually do something. But that goes against the bullshit SE fed us about the new fishing, doesn't it?
"A laid-back activity you can do while waiting to do other stuff. Pull out a rod near a body of water and go fishing." This is the design for fishing according to Yoshi. If they wanted us to be able to just stop what we're doing, pull out a rod, and start fishing no matter where we were in Eorzea, we'd need many types of bait. Maybe half a page, maybe a full page, who cares. The fact remains that to keep this activity casual and instantly accessible no matter where we are, we need to carry more than two or three types of bait. ANY space taken up by bait in the inventory is space lost to something else. Like fish.
The fact remains that a tacklebox, while not something most people would appreciate, is still something I think is a necessity. It's completely ridiculous to keep baits and lures in our inventory, especially when we're the only class that has to put up with it. They got rid of arrows after all. I don't want them to get rid of bait, I just want it out of my regular inventory.
For what it's worth, I agree with you. Thank you for being civil.
Not really. I carry about four lures on me at all times. That's it, and I presumably play Fishing the "bullshit" way SE intended. There really is no reason to be carrying seventy different baits... That's utterly absurd, more so when most of the baits in the game are sold where they're needed, especially Dune/Skyfishing baits.
I carry more food and potions on me than I do lures and baits, I stand by my last post and really don't see how I was being uncivil, thanks for presumably blacklisting me over that though.
It would be nice to have a Chat Bubble appear above our heads when we chat with people because without it, the game becomes less communicative. I've played a game that has Chat Bubbles and in town you see people chatting all the time. Here, you don't even see anyone chatting. It's kind of depressing... Chat Bubbles will make the game more fun cause there will actually be more communication in game since it will be a Chat Friendly game. Right now Chatting isn't really friendly at all, and when you type to someone it seems weird cause there's no text or voice, y'all just look like y'all are staring at each other. Chat bubbles from my belief will bring in more players and will make it where people would want to stay and play the game for a long time if not forever until the next Final Fantasy.
Chat bubbles will make the game more communicative and will bring about happiness. It will be a lighter place to be. Please input a Chat Bubble system! Thank you for you time!
Not sure if it's been mentioned already, But I would like to see players have the ability to dye their AF2 armor. As it is now the really only look like a shinier newer version of the level 50 gear or a very bland coloring (looking at you smn and war chestpieces). As many of the jobs BiS include many pieces of the AF2 I feel like I lose my identity a little bit when everyone looks the exact same in a raid/party. It's Because of the lack of variety in endgame gear many people get shoehorned into specific gear sets to optimize their roles and it just seems a shame that all of them have to look the same. :(
Please make zones bigger or add more zones in the future, and i mean ZONES, not INSTANCES
Personally, I hate earrings hanging on miqotes' ears, they look really stupid :(!
Introduce a new option to hide them, similar to hiding weapon/head.
I'd love to see job-specific emotes like in FFXI at some point, that's one of the things I really liked about that game.
