Anyway i've recorded the dummy attempt but Youtube said "The video has failed to process. Please make sure you are uploading a supported file type.", was MKV Format and that is supported by Youtube. ._.



EDIT: I just read that Crit Stats not only increases crit chance but also scales crit damage, i also took a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2Jy5TX3KAg

And counted 54 Crits, i counted 42 Crits on my attempt, a good mount of my crits came from Auto Attacks instead of skills, i also notice the video user has more HP so i assume Higher ilvl, unless using Vit materia.

I have similar stats (higher crit) and use the 250 weapon. Fail at like 6-7 secs. I have like 500 ss and the shasta opener usually works well for me. I cant get higher than 2900 opener dps though, not sure if that means anything. They key is to never weave mltiple off gcd in a row, dont drop dots/de and hit positionals. Have you tried making a post on reddit? You will likely get a much faster reply there. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure the rotation is correct but the opener might not be, i used a different opener in the past before i changed to the one i posted which results in higher burst, so it's possible a more optimized opener might increase the DPS a bit, it's basically Shasta's opener but modified, because like i've mentioned i can't get Duality Aeolean Edge if i put the dots between TA, so i choose to just insert Duality Aeolean Edge in TA.

I don't think it's ping related anymore, after they made the EU servers available i didn't notice the problems i used to have with Murdras, my ping is around 80 and was 120-130 when the servers were on Canada, but they also made changes to the Murdras and they became more responsive.

I've moved to Gilgamesh a few months ago before returning to Ragnarok, was doing 8% less DPS on Gilgamesh due to the latency everything felt slower even non-Murdra skills, but right now after the update and EU servers i don't think it's ping related unless 80 ping is bad?

I thought i'm doing something wrong, Crit makes a difference, but i'm not sure if that's the only reason alone.

I'm also using i260 Relic and people clear it with i255, so i believe something is wrong, that's why i decided to post here.

Should dancing edge be used on enemies that will die fast or aeolian edge?

How much opener dps should i be doing at ilv 252? I have the 250 crafted weapon and a mix of crafted gear and creator normal gear.

EDIT: I've done the test again 2 Times:

- First Result - 21% Crit - Final Health 3%
-- Auto Attack Crit Chance: 20%
-- Skill Crit Chance: 26%

- Second Result - 19% Crit - Final Health 6%
-- Auto Attack Crit Chance: 12%
-- Skill Crit Chance: 22%

I came to the conclusion that Crit causes significant swings in DPS.

It might be the reason i'm not getting it down, i have a bit bellow 900 crit and even in 3.2 BiS was already 1166 Crit (right now seems to be 1366, 200 more).

I've also seen videos of Trick Attack Crit for 8k (1250~ crit) and mine hits for 5.7k (896 crit), that's a considerable difference.

I stopped using the Aeolian Edge opener early on into switching my main from DRG to NIN late 3.3 just due to the fact that this opener synchronizes so well with all the fights in this tier and last.

I watched you Opener in your YT Killvideos.
Looks like, your Opener deals more dps then the one from shasta.

But I would only do your Opener, if there is a WAR in the Party for the Slashing Debuff.
The Debuff pushes NIN + 2 Tanks
So overall it should be better, if the Slashing Debuff is up.

And I would change Fuma to Raiton, if no WAR and no MCH are in the Party

No offense, but i refuse to use pots, pots is cheating DPS, doesn't make any sense to use pots on a dummy, i've never used pots when testing last tier SSS dummy and don't plan to, ever.

The dummies can and should be cleared without food and pots.

Even if can only get it to 3% with my low crit i'm happy, i've read people mentioning they cleared A12S without clearing the dummy, but i still want to down it lol.

Obviously we can't compare a dummy to a real fight as there are mechanics to deal with and dps losses will occur, however that's why there is a Limit Break, to compensate DPS losses, at least that's how i see it.

Btw thanks for those openers, i'll try them without the pots, but i doubt it will make a big difference when some people crit for 8k and i crit for 5.7k with TA, not to mention crit amount on skills, auto attack, dots.
