Noticed:
- Obvious one the weathered Gladious
- His undergarmet/bottoms are that of Hume (although he is Elvaan)
- he has sideburns! and some shades lol
Raining in Thanalan as well on Mysidia, no music. No idea where the guy is though, been to the 3 main camps there and nothing. Ul'dah itself is nice and cloudy with music.
the arcanists are wearing what they are because the physical model you see is a full NPC placeholder which are often created as one file instead of seperates like gear, its just implimented on top of x gear and y stats because the class isnt really implimented yet.
id bet arcanists will get their own basic armour look too much like CONs and THMs, i just doubt they came up with much so far so theyre just using what we see.
i hope this doesnt come to an anticlimactic ending =/
Raining everywhere 5:48pmcst.... after rain does the GM pop?
He hasn't repopped since and it has rained and stopped numerous times.
No ones said anything about him popping anywhere else, so I'm assuming he does it once per day? I'm at Horizon every day and this is the first time I've seen him here, but ofc we've seen him in Uldah too.
Theres no music in Uldah or Thanalan currently. Dont know about other areas as I dont go to them often.
I definitely remember somewhere about a post that he spoke in Japanese and later in French. I haven't seen anyone report of the GM speaking in English though. Maybe it is just once a day.
Raining now 6:35cst. Outside Ul'dah
LS reporting rain everywhere again
Rain every hour?
wow that 1 arcanist spell animation sucks, its very apparent the class isnt fully implimented yet, or just not being shown off yet.
all the spell animations are Ferocity II, the leaving is Blood Rite II. Probably just testing the buffs themselves, most likely they don't have finished animations for them yet.
i doubt they will give arc that much power, they are prolly just using arc weapon cause it looks weird, and the buffs are probably just a gm ability type thing
I wouldn't look into it too much as an Arcanist they are probably only using the weapon to make it stand out so people notice it and same with the buffs as that is a huge AOE range.
The whole point of this is to cause confusion
Yes they are in the .dats BUT the game is undergoing heavy changes from the original plan, so while they have been in the .dats it doesn't mean that they will actually be used on a class. Like LNC having jump, with the job system coming Jump may very well find it's way to DRG.
are those effects tied to the arcanist tag? its obvious that the effects exist, im just wondering if they are tied to arc, the dude did it without even a weapon out, even with no animation, id think if they were using it through arc, it would have to hold its weapon, maybe not
He's not the first Arcanist in the game.
There are several NPCs in the Arcanist guild, most prominently in the Limsa storyline.
There is also one in the Alchemist storyline. Rank 20 Quest, I believe, but could be wrong.
Their weapons look like mechanized staffs. They have weird shapes and pieces that look like "Machina."
lol pretty much this, it's not the first Archanist in the game, but it's the first person controlled one that can use spells and you can check it's gear. It's basically shows the Archanist class is fully implemented into the game and is just not player accessible yet.
Not really if you check them out they are decked in Gladiator gear showing that they just pasted a archanist NPC ontop of there gear. NPC gear and our gear doesn't always match up in the .dats. I remember this from my .Dat moding days in XI trying to place a NPC's unique item on a PC didn't always work out that well.
I don't mean to get all Grammar Nazi on you guys, but it's spelled arcanist. Trying to prevent the improper spelling from catching on. Every time I see it spelled "archanist," all I see is "anarchist." :p
So, which servers has he been seen on?
Urianger Augurelt appeared on Wutai a little after midnight (EST) this past Friday.
I'd just like to add that the Quick spell he casted on us was much slower in speed than that of Quickstride for Archers, but that's understandable given the spell duration.
