Breaking a forum rule is not harassment. People break forum rules such as not revealing personal information about themselves and that's a broken rule for their own protection.

Maybe I just have a thicker skin that I don't cry harassment if someone calls me "wierd" - but I take that term very seriously. Pettiness on gaming forums and people not being able to discuss a topic without name-calling is just childish to me, but doesn't rise to the level of harassment - especially if the recipient doesn't feel harassed themselves and chooses to continue to engage.

Any thread that makes Karious post this much is a blight

I disagree. I find the other comment "they mad they aged 2 decades in their 20's" is mean spirited. Also, "misgendering" is a debated area. Lots of people believe its a mental illness based on studies/statistics and as such don't participate in that pronoun correction as they view it as worsening a mental illness. I say this as a fellow LGBTQ person and Im not for one side or the other. I'm okay with what the voice actor identifies as but im not going to villain-ize others with opposing views on that.

Anyways, this VA is not being cheeky. They are just being mean. Thats how I see it and thats why I agreed with the other poster. Is it Vitriol? probably it is depending on if you view that post as criticism which i can totally see why people would see it that way because of how its worded.

There is no irrationality in that. They just pointed out a fact. Whether you choose to accept the truth or not is up to you. There's no sense in defending someone who openly partakes in mean comments.

Anyways, I'm not going to continue conversing with you. No offense, I just came here to make that single comment. Feel free to post a reply. I'll look at it later but won't respond as I don't care for continuing the conversation :P

I'm aware that they aren't, but it appears as if Sena is suggesting that all Republican women are worn out and ugly after spending their 20s as baby factories. Sena is also is suggesting that after those Republican women realize they have aged so much prematurely, they take out their frustration on trans people by not wanting trans people to have healthcare.

Sena's behavior is very unprofessional and should not be given a free pass because they are part of a minority group.

I'm aware of what they are trying to say. However, given how weird some of the people defending them are I'm trying to keep it at the bare minimum in meaning. Gives them less to latch onto.

The one plus side to threads like this is that it always outs certain people to warrant being put on the ignore list, lol.

I'm not sure why people are mad at the VA tbh. If her performance was subpar, it's not her fault. Nothing at all is her fault. Ultimately this falls on whoever is in charge quality assurance at SE. They were satisfied with her performance, so the responsibility falls on them squarely. She could have had more takes. She could have been replaced entirely. They chose to keep her. Love her or hate her, she did the job she was picked for and got her paycheck.

That said, with the pretty mediocre story that was Endwalker and now Dawntrail, I'm not sure the quality checks in general are particularly high, and certainly they'll never be high enough for certain players.

People only claim they're getting death threats on twitter because they're fishing for sympathy.

I've no sympathy for a person who wants others out of their jobs, i.e. her comments towards a female VA for voicing a trans character. It's always x for me but not for thee with people like that. Lets not forget the way she wishes she could treat cis and straight VA's, hint like utter garbage.

And not sorry but I frankly don't believe she got a bunch of threats, so many people play up the abuse they get to score a bigger victim card. To the extent it is true, it's unacceptable and for death threats the police should be contacted. You can hate the VA all you want, death threats and such are stupid. Calling for her to never voice anything important for SE again, I'm all for that one... she really didn't do a great job. When Wuk was just talking it wasn't awful, but anything with more emotions or exertion was straight ass, heck she even lost the accent at times.

But I won't be crying over a crappy individual getting backlash for not only their crappy opinions but the crappy job they did voicing Wuk Lamat. Should have hired someone with more range, that final scene was f'ing tragic in English. The VA quality overall for english speakers was pretty bad, Wuk stands out more because we never got away from her. Ditch that LA studio please SE, they did a crap job. Go back to the old one.

Sorry to hear she's suffering about it but this is the internet and you can't 100% police everything people will do. Ignoring incels who send death threats is the best course of action because nothing they say matters.
Will never understand when people complain about this when blocking people has never been easier and ignoring them is the easiest thing to do.
There's been plenty of praise for her on twitter! Interact with those! Acknowledging the idiots just gives them cause to do it more because they KNOW they got under your skin!

I like the character but her English voice was not to my liking, I switched to JP. I do think she was either wrongly casted for the role, and directed poorly. Just my two cents,

Wuk Lamat was an absolutely miserable character.

Wuk Lamat would not go away, and stop making everything about themselves.

That's why we hate Wuk Lamat. That has absolutely nothing to do with the VA.

Meanwhile

The VA did a dog water job of acting. That's why we were upset.

The VA previously acknowledged that they sucked at the exact type of role they took, because the "industry is keeping her down, man". That's why we were angry.

The VA regularly says terrible things, crapped on an innocent victim because they were a woman and stealing their victimhood points, and showed just how vile and misogynistic they are. That's why we are currently at the point of hatred.

So no. You don't get to say that we hate anyone because they were Wuk Lamat. JP players hate Wuk Lamat too. That's not what's going on here, and you know it. You're just as bad as the constant barrage of buzzwords everyone is throwing at valid criticism.
