i know. and ff14 will eventually too because they said theyre adding "ui enhancements"

Eh who knows. I'd think that the UI enhancements would be worked on at the same time the graphics updates are. It makes sense to me for the devs to release the UI enhancements at the same time as the graphics update because they would be packaged together as FFXIV's new and refreshed appearance.
A company being out of touch with a large majority of their player base is nothing new, unfortunately...
NFT Market Collapses Just As Square Enix Sells Tomb Raider To Bet Big On Blockchain
I beg to differ. Squenix is just as out of touch as any other company.
Needing to clarify who's the good guy in EW. Taking half a decade to fix Living Dead. Healer state. Hroth state. Viera state. Housing state. No Limited Job for years despite being told they'd come out faster than normal ones. And much, much more!
Why the hell do I have to do the thinking for you people?
And yeah, the NFT thing is pretty bad too.
Ehh most of the things you listed are not exactly game breaking issues. Have to also separate SE from CBU3. Creative business unit 3 is the one that deals with ff14 mainly. And well they had to deal with covid19 during shb as well as being tasked by SE to work on ff16 despite them always asking SE for more staff to do more. So they had 2 big issues screwing with what they can do really during SHB patch series. But given ff16 seems to be near completion, should at least see more issues addressed given more manpower to actually do that.
Friendly reminder that no corporation is your friend. None. They will happily abuse a parasocial relationship for more sales though.
The thing with third-party tools is that you have to understand the motivations behind their use if you want to ultimately deal with the issue. Maybe it's a cool outfit/hairstyle, or an emote/pose, or a quality of life feature, or something that helps high-end raiders discern certain debuffs, amongst others. If SE want to deal with the problem, then they need to listen to players, and not be so aggressively overzealous with the ToS hammer against players who ultimately haven't created a negative experience for anyone else, or whomst have what would be an unfair gameplay advantage.
agreed. The whole idea of "you can use 3rd party tools but dont tell anyone" isnt sustainable as you can see from the several streamers that openly use mods and havent been banned. as someone pointed out in the past some mods like visual mods are deemed ok by SE because theyve accepted photos altered by visual mods into their photography contests before.
This is just a stupid statement. Of course, they can check your computer, but they don't want to. You don't need a full-blown anti-cheat to check the integrity of your client-side files whenever you run the application. It happens all the time, with no noticeable loss of performance.
Some applications even go so far as to stop an application from running if the file structure of the client is compromised in any way. They have used the excuse that since their cyber security is good server-side, they don't need to do anything client-side. Most companies would treat anything that could potentially access their network to be a threat if tampered with.
