Unfortunately, you'll still get your players who want ALL the reward for zero effort and that is sad when the effort required is already just stare blankly at the screen and press a couple of buttons.

Even if Square makes this solable, you'll still get people complaining they can't get the bonus anymore.

I don't think anyone would pay attention to that if you're just waiting. How are they even going to know that you got out earlier if you didn't do anything except sit there and wait for the others to catch up?

The issue is entirely about people who use that gained time to attack the boss while others are still locked in the cutscene. If you got out early and started the fight, that's what would make people suspicious. So just wait those few seconds longer.

Cannot speak for others but I wish to speed content along since I just want my daily reward and that is all. I like to play my video games not watch them. Thankfully I rarely run into people that get all upset about skipping and often run into people that did not even know they could do it. Either way I do not heal or tank content to help others I just enjoy the role and will perform it to best of my ability, I do not really care about much of anything else. If it turns out a run is too slow or do not feel like waiting around I will leave no skin off my back. It is not the end of the world.

They should just make a solo instance and be done with it.

I agree, the MSQ roulette and all dungeons and trials should be changed so they are solo instances or can be completed with trust. Then i would never have to deal with anyone ever again, that would be beautiful.

I know this is most likely sarcasm, but considering the two MSQ roulette dungeons are what I'd personally call the worst designed dungeons in the game specifically because of the 40+ minutes of cutscenes in them, I'm not sure they really fall into the same category as any other dungeon or trial.

Whatever people's reasons for not liking the way they are now, turning them into trust dungeons would really be undoing what was a terrible design decision in the first place. They should have been solo duties to begin with.

I happily punish them with commendations for making the worst designed instances in the game suck a bit less.

Life is too short to let us skip, if people harass you for not skipping report them, but idk I feel if they go the route of making it so you can no longer skip them I feel they will either have to increase the rewards or less people will use the roulette. Skipping is the only reason I run it for the Daily reward, but outside of that I do not touch it even if the exp per hour is not bad, just would hey tedious watching the cut scenes or skipping them more then once a day.

They DID increase the rewards when they removed the option to skip cutscenes.
You're circumventing these measures, you're using an exploit to gain more than you should be able to.

But there would be no need for the roulette if everyone has already completed it solo.
The roulette exists purely to fill queues, for newbies who are queuing it directly for the first time.
If everyone has already completed it in a solo instance, then they remove the roulette and you find another source of EXP.

I run that duty multiple times a day on different data centers and it's rarely a problem. The xp alone is worth the time. The Moogle tomes are simply an additional bonus atm.

Yes I run it twice on Spriggan early morning with two of my alts and a friend (one for the moogle tomes, the other is leveling RDM), and once in the evening on Siren with my main who has two roles left to level. Praetorium especially is an easy run given i can do lots of real life stuff and internet related stuff while letting the movie play.

The fact of the matter for my experience at least is that the duties run pretty smoothly. Even the somewhat common abandoning the duty cause they didn't get Praetorium seems to have gone away for the moment at least.

Yeah, thankfully the in game GM's are not as much of a stickler for the rules as the forum mods are. For me the ToS is more akin to those no smoking signs on my university campus most people ignore them due to the lack of enforcement, though if action is taken it is not surprising and just take in stride.

My experience differs but it just one of those things that will differ from person to person. Only SE truly knows how major of an issue this is, though I do agree it probably is not that massive, and only reason I run into people that skip is because I skip myself so more people may feel more comfortable not being the first one to pull the trigger so to speak.

Yeah, if it happens so be it. I have also heard of people getting suspensions for some weird shit that I also do. Either I am super lucky, or it is the fact that I do not type out much of anything in game so even if people report me the GM gives me the benefit of the doubt and moves on since they have no in game record.

Kind of like buying Gil sure it is against the ToS but if the person keeps their mouth shut in game I am willing to bet no action ever gets taken against their account.

It sort of is, but if you are not open about it in game it is sort of hard to prove you are doing it on purpose. The ingame GM's are evidence driven they often do not take action without hard evidence. So if you are not open about it chances of them taking action is slim. Granted the chance remains, but I would say it is not very high.

Game at current state already boring enough forcing you to do things that you don't want to do for leveling (POD / MSQ etc.)
My suggestion: Make alternate leveling methods preferably enjoyable one people will abandon MSQ in no time. Turn MSQ into solo dungeon if people have to do it for quest, dungeon offers no challenge and no reason to get in with full party.

No thanks I like it as is and the people running it daily seem to not mind as well.

Edit: the point isn't to watch the cutscens which has been said multiple times. No one has a gun to your head making you watch. Go pee, pet your pet, take out the trash. Anything. You have the time.

Ok, so would you be ok with reduced rewards auto applied to the instance if everyone had seen the cutscenes and they were skippable?

Because skippable cutscenes means less exp and gil for the run.. im talking 1/3 a level on Prea compared to almost a full level with watching cutscenes.

The rewarded exp we have now IS the reward for watching the cutscenes.. its for taking a new player threw the instance.. its to get people in Q for the duties.. same with all the roulettes..

Maybe they should add a detection to the MSQ if you D/C you have to reQ for the roulette again or maybe you D/C your rewards are cancelled.. so even if you finish you get nothing for ruining it for other people..

And yes before you ask.. my Prea and Castrum were ruined by people before the forced Cutscenes were in.. i tried watching them and missed most of the fights and just had to skip the rest..

My first runs of Prae and Castrum were also ruined.
It took me three runs of Prae to even activate all the cutscenes, as the rest of the party rushing through each fight meant that multiple cutscene triggers were hit before I'd even finished one cutscene, so the next time around, I automatically skipped the cutscenes I had seen, so the ones I hadn't started playing.

Three runs before:
I had seen the whole story.
I was able to replay the story in the Inn.
I was able to take part in any of the fights without getting held back by a cutscene.

Then don't run MSQ roulette.
You don't need to do it. Just as I'm sure you don't run Guildhest and Frontlines roulettes every day.

You can already get comparable EXP by simply running your highest level available dungeons twice in a row.
Just twice, and they take about 15 minutes each, so half an hour, for the same EXP.
If it's about tomes, you can hit the weekly cap by simply running Expert roulette 5 times, which is not even every day each week. Add in some leveling roulette or an alliance roulette and you'll get there in 3 or 4 days.

Yes actually if its problematic remove whole EXP reward and make it solo quest. So newbies does not have to wait long period of time and they can watch cut scenes in peace :3

I thought SE made cut-scenes unable to be skipped in MSQ a while back. What am I missing? Is there a certain one that is skippable? Did SE revert their decision?

Of course they are not going to ban paying customers, that's why all MMO are full of botters, cheaters and people like you but we all know this, that's why you can and will continue to do your thing and nothing will happen. Until it becomes too obvious in social media or something where it gets a lot of publicity so they can't ignore it anymore, of course.
