Seems that a lot of people are not happy at being able to get away with charging high prices when cheaper prices are on other worlds and somehow they cannot (or are unwilling) to compete?
It's about time and I would like a linked MB asap thanks.

I feel compelled to state #notallsirenites at this point....
And thing is, you can still get away with selling for those high prices. Not everyone is willing to shop around. Hell when I was buying maps I knew I could go to Goblin and get cheaper ones on their MB but I didn't want to deal with the hassle during an active party. It's the same way I can sell vendor items on the MB for exorbitant amounts of money because people are just lazy.
it's not about competing for the lowest ratio item to price. its about people taking advantage of the other mb to get prices to increase drasticly. thats where people are getting mad.
right now there is a 70 shirt on behemoth for healers.... 1.5m gils
the same shirt on exodus 5.7m gils
levi 2m gils ....
from what i've noticed im stuck with 2 options;
1- players and RMTs that have been on here for a while and take advantage of new players by skyrocketting prices
2- new players coming over and try to earn a quick buck by skyrocketting price because thats how their previous mmos worked.
Not even. The dataservers hardware would be combined to one entity, and the 'servers' would simply become instances. As the performance degrades on one instance, another opens up. If it reaches its limit they could simply add more hardware for more potential instancing. And that is assuming a megaserver structure. If we use the current structure then it would divert the resources more strictly.
- Low population servers have always had the most expensive marketboards.
- Players have always been able to corner markets. Low population servers, especially, due to fewer individuals of wealth and smaller relative access to intermediate goods due to their typically inflated prices.
- Players can also go to more populated servers, buy up lower priced goods, and then sell them, undercutting any ludicrous prices aimed solely at RMT-recipients and gradually denying anyone market-jumping in the opposite direction their profits.
I’m okay with the market board cause some stuff is just stupid expensive and then you go to a reasonable server and get a price that isn’t outrageous. Also I’ve been selling things just fine lol just follow the price of your server market board and make a judgment.
Hunts have always been jacked up before cross world anything lol
Hello friend. These problems you have now are minimal on CRYSTAL. Come, join us :^) Specifically come to Malboro. Super good server with some property available. Also, the reason you are getting all that WoW mentality is because the majority of "hardcore epic LEET haxorx PvErs" flooded to Aether during the data center shuffles from Crystal cause we were the "lame rp datacenter" so what happened was all the toxic people left for Aether and the good people stayed here :)
The comment: "just unsub then" - that's a very typical form of WoW negativity. It's a complete refusal to engage, and basically just a dismissive attack response. It's possibly even re-portable here.
I think you could address lag by moving where the world transfer spot it. Move it out of the main cities.
I think if you wanted to keep the 'MB scan and run to another server' aspect - put it in residential zones, but you zone into a random aether in the zone on a random district. So you left from aether 12 of district 17, you could zone in at aether 3 of district 7, or anwhere else in that zone.
- that would work to prevent large crowds.
If you wanted to disrupt the MB dash... move it to small low level zones. Put it in the level 10-15 zones, or the 15-20 if you want to make it require a little more progress in the game to reach.
If you want to not disrupt community... allow cross world FCs. Now all you have is essentially megaservers.
Giving priority to home worlders for logging in would be a boost. BUT only if there is a login option to log in on your home world - so people don't get stuck off-world...
I think the timer on hunt spawns is a good idea even if we didn't have cross worlding.
Oh, I don't separate people from their MMO history and thus put them into groups and use broad terms regarding them. Because blanket comments like that are just eye-roll inducing and make me not take the person seriously anymore.
Regarding hunts, I just think they should be like mega fates that are spawned, that way everyone is scaled down to the level of the hunt and the life of each hunt is long enough for people to get a hit in. Also makes it a lot more fun. Note; I'd like this for S ranks, it's usually the S ranks that get pulled ASAP rather than the A ranks. B ranks shouldn't have the whole fate system applying to them.
And homeworld loggers should indeed have a priority.
Before the world visit system: The MB was so dead. Thing's were sitting there so long ppl just stopped undercutting since it will never sell anyways. It was so dead, aethersand bots had to sell Lighting crystals at 3 gil each at 9999 stacks.
If they ever turn off World visit, Balmung will be an empty server, with everyone just hanging out in a private instance ERPing xD.
Since we can now access all the marketboards in your group (with time-consuming and server straining hopping), or inaccurate external sites, they could fix it by combining all the marketboards into one. Everyone sees all the stuff posted on all the other servers from their home location. No need to hop when looking for the best deal.
The fact that anyone still complains about hunts at this point is maniacal and frankly you look kinda dumb. Reason being, how it's worked since DAY 1, is still the same. Random mark in the world? Get a group and kill.
This whole "wait for the server" bs needs to stop. It was never designed to be that way. EVER. If you spawn a S Rank, how about you stay on the map and recruit a party in shout chat after you confirm the location? How is that so hard to do? Cut the bs already. If you're late, you're late. That's all it is and if you didn't have the modicum of knowledge to think "hey maybe I should recruit to get credit" then well you don't deserve it for your lack of common sense.
How is this still a complaint in 2019 is beyond me. As for the marketboard? Prices are balancing, the way they should. No marketboard on any server should have ridiculous pricing for items. Imagine crafting mats like ovim fleece, ores, shellflesh, lemonette, etc. WITHOUT cross world. Prices would be absolutely stupid on some servers and that would be incredibly unfair to players as a whole on those servers.
Every single one of these things in OP is a non-issue. It sounds like you're on the bad end of all of these, and it equally sounds like it's your lack of ability to manuever any of this that is your problem, not the systems.
Hunt wasn't design to be that way but world visit changed that. I moved to a quiet server and for a while hunt was great, no early puller no server wide hunt but that is not the case anymore. A lot of the hunt are now being tracked and zerk through with not just the player from my world server but from many others in the same data center causing lag, unable to entering zone, mark dissapeared (untargetable), etc, while before this was not the case.
Stopped reading when you said you *have* to use outside websites to get the best deal.
You don't *have* to do anything. If you value your own server community so much then you shouldn't have any problem buying from your own marketboard alone.
