I'm glad we're getting more hair possibilities in EW (especially since my main is going straight to mViera as soon as servers are up) but for Fran's style I don't think they'd give it to us because of who she is. She's an iconic character who exists in our world already, with that hair style and unique ear colorations. They've only given us hairstyles of characters that have "crossed the rift" to visit Eorzea because it wouldn't make that character any less unique (see: Noctis, Lightning) but given Fran is a person we meet and adventure with. She's too unique and iconic.

Release the waist long hair.

Rabbit ears are a defining trait for the Viera but other than that, we have very few things limiting our races from each other and I just think there needs to be more. If you, along with everyone else genuinely wants the race lock to be lifted then I dont see the point in having different races at all. In that case, it'd be more efficient for everyone to just have Hyur characters with in-game customization options to give us either cat or rabbit ears?

It's not entitled when its something that is overdue. Square Enix said over 2 years ago that more hairstyles are coming for Viera and they did not fix our situation but instead, was working on male Viera instead of sorting out the pre-existing issues with female Viera. I'd like it if we're up to the stand with the other races, but guess what? Viera are still a limited race and wont have access to A LOT of hats, and even our race-exclusive hairstyles are even lower when you take into account majority are just a "With bangs, without bangs" - so yes, we need atleast two more varieties. If I had discovered that Miqo'te were getting another race exclusive hairstyle no one would ever catch me on the forums complaining how I'm so hard done by and I deserve to have their hairstyle, I'd think good on them for getting something new. Entitled is people demanding Viera hairstyles even though the other races would look so incredibly strange with a viera hair, it wouldn't look right at all.

Viera hairstyles are inspired by their huntress/wood elf vibe seeing as how they are the closest thing that FFXIV has to typical fantasy elves. And that's me speaking as someone who also plays an Elezen. Their hairstyles actually would not look out of place on other races and are objectively of a higher quality than most racial hairstyles from the base ARR races. There is nothing so special and unique about Viera that they have to be the only ones with long fluffy hair.

There is no point in working on hairstyles that can be *only* used by a specific race when higher quality hairstyles are a widely requested feature by the general playerbase outside Viera. It sucks that they went 2 years with no updates but now they got an entire gender added to them and finally are no longer being treated as a package deal with Hrothgar and all of the problems that came with. Come 6.0 they will be leagues away from what many would consider a limited race. In light of what we are going to be receiving in EW I choose to look at the glass half full instead of complaining about the flavour water I'm getting.

You clearly don't know the Viera race that well if you're trying to disregard the Viera's 10+ years of character appearances in numerous games. You other races would not be able to pull off Fran's hairstyle due to the lack of rabbit ears therefore the Viera headpiece headpiece that comes along with it would look insanely random.

But all you've done since your first post here is complain how you feel entitled to hair a Viera wore in XII? This shouldn't be so much of an issue for you considering you have a Viera alt.

Breaking news. All races besides Viera cannot have big ponytail hair with metallic helmets because lore.

Maybe just maybe I would like to use cool things on more than just Viera characters? Goodness knows if there were more wood elf type hairs I would gladly go out of my way to grind/pay for them for my elezen and miqos. I'm not likely to be convinced that not only gender-locked but also race-locked hair is anything but a waste of resources outside whatever starter hairs a race gets. It would have been so great if the males shared some hairstyles with female Viera and vice versa, and it honestly sucks that it's not the case. I do not support even more exclusive stuff. Just let people have cool things.

I don't see how that would really be any weirder than Viera, Miqo'te, and Hrothgar wearing glasses despite not having human-placed ears to support them.

That's not a valid point to make at all. You're literally bringing in physics to an argument about lore/a specific race's style. And glasses are a thing that belongs to everyone and not a specific race so I'm really not sure what you're trying to say.
