I mean, I would just like ti clarify that YES - that was indeed horrible, and the joke.

I wanted to make a few points though:
- He stopped fighting, and stayed out of combat (he was the tank) until he could attempt the kick
- He attempted to kick them for cheating, of all things
- He didn't understand what the healer was doing at all (DPSing)
- He later clarified that he tried to kick the WHM because "He likes his healers like he likes his cars, without damage." and stated "I would rather a healer use their MP on healing spells, instead of potentially burning it all on a little unneeded DPS"

I am still confused by the clip.

I'm of the mind that Healers are not required to DPS, but it is preferable they do when they can. Frankly, I would rather my Healers DPS if they're comfortable with doing that. As long as I'm not dying, I'm not crying.

IIRC the kicks (more than once) went through because the black mage was with him. He also jokes about how he made a deal one of his prior healers, that he'd turn on tank stance as long as the healer doesn't DPS. He also got kicked out of his FC for toxic behaviour.

What's the draw in watching basketball on TV when you could be playing it yourself?
What's the draw watching a cooking show when you could go make dinner?
What's the draw watching stand-up comedy when you could go do that?

Entertainment. That's the draw. It's the same reason we watch anyone else do anything that isn't critical to our survival. Watching people livestream games can be entertaining. Sometimes the streamer themselves is engaging and interesting, and sometimes the game is the draw. Sometimes it's a total train wreck. Different people watch for different reasons but it all boils down to: it's entertaining.

Yeah, the same thought for me. And tbh the "rebuff" from the streamer is not even harsh, given the average internet etiquette it seems to be a perfectly reasonable way to remind someone who didnt follow the rule specified. It seems to me the OP is just annoyed with the "YOU SUCK AND YOU DARE YOU REFUSE MY HELP!?!?" attitude. Like the streamer said, it's their party, and if her party decided they can't accommodate her the would have vote kicked, no need for someone else getting angry on their behalf. And apparently that's not enough the OP feels the need to make a thread and whiteknighting about the event here ...

And that's all well and good! However, I personally still don't really understand the appeal. A video game is a bit more accessible than, say, pro basketball, so I would think that people would prefer to play games themselves. But it's as someone said earlier in this thread, different people like different things. While the appeal eludes me, I respect that.
