That's fine, but as I read it jobs will also limit what abilities you can use in attempt for a more class-specific role. It's like putting a filter on. For example: say Conjurer gets Black Mage. You won't necessarily be able to use the spells you mentioned in your previous post on conjurer, because they want to limit that sort of thing. Right now, you can do the mixing and matching, and I would think there will still be a bit of that with a job, but they made it sound like jobs are ways to stream-line the classes even further after already altering abilities and such on each class, which they are doing now.
Right now they have made it seem you will be ranking up a single class for a single job and not necessarily to 50. Also if they have jobs that require levels in several classes, that filter is still going to not let you put on all those abilities for your 'ideal' build because it's suppose to stream line what you're playing. In the end it will just depend on what sort of role you want to be cast into that determines what classes you rank up. You won't have to do all of them unless you want the flexibility of switching between jobs.
