At which they're indeed wrong - it DOES affect them - even on another worlds. Unhappy players -> leaving players -> less income to game developers -> less or delayed content + worse community. One week later, only two houses have been bought on Sargatanas, among the second-most expensive servers to be on. One small ~20M and one medium ~90M.

Apparently, having FC"s who have played this game from 1.0 to present haven't earned a place to call their own. Meanwhile, those of us who started back up, have a year or two of gil grinding to catch up.

my app's in for the wildstar beta. I'm tired of a dev team that's just putting a mark in a checkbox and not doing anything actually fun.

Just look at Fnaypfbo Bptnmgxo - he's got nearly a billion gil, and right next to him, that's Edtpcrpk Cmpuxrph, a man so dedicated he reached level Arcanist level 50 grinding animal skin, fleece and snurble tufts with his trusted carbuncle practically in his starting gear! Or take leirfqbl Fvehfre - with as little as your basic level 1 pickaxe, he amassed a fortune! And there are dozens of them all over the place, with enough money to buy those plots overnight!

...Must be the greed. Yeah, they're not buying because they're greedy.

Houses need to be 60mil tops and same for each server.

Also IMO It kind of blows that it's a group thing...

I kind of wish I could just have my own house I would rather save up 60mil of my own gil to get my own house than cough up my hard earned gil to go towards a house for an FC I don't even know if I'll always be a member of.

I will also add that this has taken a huge chunk out of my hopes for the game and I feel that this game has too many issues with loyalty.
I'm a 1.0 player in a legacy server with the prices as high as 600mil in my server, without a doubt I feel cheated.

I continuously feel like you are constantly favoring the new players over us old players and basically punishing us old players for being loyal to your game for years, it makes no sense.

It's totally unfair to price our servers higher based on more money flow, there is more money in our servers because we earned it previously.
Some players like me spent two years playing the old game only for you guys to take away our hard earned gil, and now we continue to be penalized because we have more gil than new servers.

HELLO! WE HAVE IT BECAUSE WE STILL EARNED IT! We earned the right to access content faster because we already put in the hard yards previously.
We are being singled out and treated unfairly because there are new players who aren't as advanced as us, it's completely unreasonable.
They haven't put in the time, they didn't even stick around to see the old game threw, it's not our fault they didn't like your game.

Well guess what, I loved your game so why am I being punished for playing and paying for it?
If I want to move to a non legacy server you'll just take all my hard earned gil away so that option is out too, basically by doing this your forcing players to stay in there current servers if they are legacy.
So make it fair and set all the housing prices to the same price on all servers.

Who is going to contribute to 600million gil on housing for a house that doesn't even technically belong to you because it's for your FC.. really???
I mean if you want to get technical about it all the members of an FC would have to cough up every single dime they have to save up for this feature and the only person who would own the house is the FC leader.. I see so many problems with this.

AND THAT 600mil IS JUST FOR THE LAND?
What about furniture and the house itself? These prices are messed up, I know I won't put a single gil towards a house at these prices.. I'll never even see this content ..Pffft, so disappointing and lame.

I had 90million gil in the old game and you took away one of my digits only leaving me with 9mil for ARR now you make this housing 600mil gil?
This pricing is a huge mistake, I'm sorry but over the top unfair pricing that varies between servers takes the royal unsatisfying-smelly-ass-bag-cake of gaming rubbish.

That's the first of bi-weekly stepped devaluation of legacy housing to world 3 pricing, though prices will probably not change much from the current slow reductions to 50% of highest legacy prices. (SE says their goal is to strongly discourage buying during the first few months, after all.)

I dont get why implement something that will not be obtainable by the mass amount of players to enjoy... Why not implement something that players can enjoy and stick this housing crap in at a later date.. this way peeps can save up for that content. its all a** backwords in my opinion. waist of time...

Spent this christmas with a cardboard box and a sprig of mistletoe for a tree in Coerthas.

I think prices are absurd on my server, i can't imagine how people on the Legacy servers feel. This needs to be changed ASAP.

Maybe they sold Titan runs a lot. I'd imagine the ones buying houses fast would be the FCs that regularly did that .-.

This is still so confusing to me. It's impossible to decipher what is intended by this.

It is still unclear to me whether the final prices of legacy servers will match server group A's STARTING or ENDING values. Can anyone answer this concretely without guessing or surmising?

It's also unclear to me how they will be implementing adjustments. Will they be changing the RATE OF DEVALUATION on legacy servers so that our houses devalue faster or at more than 0.14% per devaluation? Or are the actual values of the houses themselves being lowered at certain increments and the rate of devaluation being left alone?

When will the legacy server groups reach their final values relative to when the non-legacy server groups reach their final values?

Please help us and provide us clear and distinct information on this.

Sure, SE claims they can't handle too many houses being bought, etc. Let's look at it this way. The current prices allows hardly anyone except RMT customers/Lv50 crafters from before December/HM Titan sellers to get a house, even a small one (without ending up broke). At half the price people would be able to buy a small (perhaps medium) ... But the wards won't be flooded. But what about that middle point? It could also be a group that sold a lot of Titan HM runs. Also, those who exploited the raw economy at the start of ARR. RMT aren't the only rich kids around.

That is a pure assumption based just on your opinions that people can't buy small houses~

The number of lots sold can not be used as a fact to confirm your statement either.

Your argument does not include players who can buy but are not interested in small/medium lots or are strategically waiting for prices to drop further.

SE stated that a majority of FC's can already buy small houses as well.

What cracks my up about his logic on this is that is exactly what he DID. He put housing ONLY within the grasp of the very wealthy leaving them STILL in a position to buy up all the land before the average Joe could afford anything. Where in the world would this logic work? We made all food rediculously expensive so that the poor can afford it as well as the rich. Who thinks of this stuff?

Do tell! :) If all players can easily do this, there's no reason to keep the details a secret. I personally don't believe it's possible for everyone to become sellers (who would buy? who would need to buy?). But if I stood to gain 50k/day I would not at all mind being proved wrong in this instance.

I am in the BIGGEST fc on Balmung, and we are not even a little bit close to housing. I like working my ass off for things, it makes me feel like I earn it, but as it stands, we're looking at 6 months out......

The idea is to watch the market and sell and farm accordingly it works a lot but not all the time mind you but its the only legit way to make money at a good rate its called supply and demand. :) . out of every 200k I make I put 100k into the fc that I am apart of towards a house people have to work together to get housing its that simple we have hit I think 10 mill so far and we are not by far the largest fc on the server. Just a dam good one at helping to achieve a house. They are not going to make this easy so get over it

You forget that the vast majority of players don't have several hours a day to dedicate to playing the market, and that little time they get, they actually like to use to play the game.

Also "get over it" is no valid argument. Thankfully people didn't "Get over it" when 1.0 was released.

We on Sargatans WERE able to buy a medium house with like 15-20 1.0 players with savings and newly made money
but now there basically screwing everyone that already bought a house with the though that it would be lowered in 3 months time not 3-4 weeks
if we knew that it was going to drop that much in such a short time we would have waited till we could just strait up buy a mansion

Did it ever occur to you that by complaining, the prices might in fact change? That by continuing to complain, they might change faster?

I mean seriously, who even cares if you have the 20 Million for a home when SE has JUST said:
'Hey yeah, sorry Legacy, we'll fix the prices so that you 'match' Worlds A in 3 months time'...why would you spend 20 mil now when that money, as SE themselves pointed out, will have at least, 2.5-4.5 times more buying power in 3 months.

So no smart FC is going to buy on a legacy world now because they'd literally be throwing millions of gil (and hard work) down the drain.
So Legacy World Housing wards remain empty for the next 3 months...SE could fix this though...by adjusting our prices to meet Group A worlds NOW!

So your 'work for it I can do it so can you attitude' is moote. Because even YOU benefit strongly from waiting for the 'proper' prices on our servers.
...which we still need clarification on. SE, if you are making Legacy worlds wait, the least you could do is give us a min-max range of what our prices will be adjusted to in March. Do we get the 'max price for World A Groups or their 'current Market value in March' price?

PS:

100K/day =3,125 days of solo farming for the Largest home the 'best lot. (or roughly 8 years) You could by the ave medium sized home in a measly little 844 days (roughly2.3 years)
But you say...well, but these are FC housing dummy, My FC mates are farming too....
About that: Again, lets say you have 40 FC mates all putting in 100K a day (which is way above and beyond what most FC's can expect to see donated).

So 40x100K =4,000,000/day impressive, and would mean that you could buy a small home on my server in as little as 5 days...but 10 days on your server (which, is that fair to you btw...that your FC has to do DOUBLE the work of mine for the SAME THING?)
But no FC I'm aware of that is willing to grind out 100K/member is actually going to settle for the 'small house'
So really its
40x100K=4Mil/day =78.125 days of grinding...everyone, all 40 of you, a little of 3 months of nothing but farming (6 months on your server for the 'best house)

And this would be fair...IF:
1. Every single world had the SAME price
2. or if the 2+ years you put into saving from 1.0 meant anything...but it's been purposefully been used against Legacy players to just extend the carrot out a little further.


So it's not about 'can we band together and save the gil' It's about Fairness across worlds, and not screwing over the most loyal playerbase simply because they played your game longer than anyone else.
