I'm @ Mesa Red, Any ideas on how to get to Dalamud Red from here?
I have a chocobo color mapping project that I am working on using the data I have gathered/am gathering.
Chocobo Color Mapping
This is just a spreadsheet for now. You can mouse over colors to see if they have notes on them regarding color combos.
How do I get to Mole Brown from Lime Green? o_O
Or should I just Lemon it and start over (in that case, how to get Mole Brown from plain Yellow)?
Got a Morbol Green Choco  -> receipe: O'Ghomoro Berry x54, Xelphatol Apple x18, Mamook Pear x18

Just coming here to confirm a couple that I got.
From base desert yellow using valfruit only:
2 "feathers" messages - salmon pink
3 "feathers" messages - rose pink
It's the color I want so I'm sticking with it. Good luck to everyone searching for more complicated colors.

Ok so sat down today and wrote some stuff down to try and logically figure something out
Say as an example you are roughly even color number for each rgb and want to lower the values to get to black.
Example 1 (assumption +/- 6)
Feed all lessen
R G B
-6 +6 +6 less red
+6 - 6 +6 less green
+6 +6 - 6 lless blue
+6 +6 +6 totals
This is the wrong direction heading away from black... But won\\'t always be 6 so
Let\\'s say one is +3 one is +4 one +5
R G B
-3 +3 +3 less red
+4 - 4 +4 less green
+5 +5 - 5 less blue
+6 +4 +2 totals
wrong direction
What happens if we use deepen foods?
Assume +6
R G B
+6 - 6 - 6 deep red
-6 +6 -6 deep green
-6 - 6 +6 deep blue
-6 - 6 - 6 totals
Now we are heading in the right direction.
So again due to range of numbers 3-6 sometimes it will not work but logically speaking if you can get to a color that is basically even values you can then get to black by feeding deepen foods across the board.
Starting off from the base yellow, fed mine: 5 O'Ghomoro berries (3 feather messages), 5 Doman Plums (5 feather messages) and 2 Mamook Pears (2 feather messages). Now to wait! I'm hoping it's some variety of blue/green. :3
Started from Desert Yellow (default) and fed: 15 doman plums all at once (1 feather message at around 7-9 fed) and came out Snow White.

anyone help me figure the rgb #'s of void blue?
cause im not sure where you guys are getting the numbers from
To figure out the RGB colour values of your Chocobo's current plumage refer to this spreadsheet. However, I would advise against using the recipe's found there as many users have stated throughout this thread that they do not yield the desired result.
I suggest you to follow my steps for abyssal blue then try Alinah's suggestion. On my side I tried 2 apples, 2 pears to make it slow and got a splendid Shadow Blue that I will keep in the end :)

So I followed one of the recipes from the color spreadsheet and it didn't really work at all lol. I was trying to get Sky Blue but ended up with Meadow Green (132, 150, 92). From there I added 2 O'Ghomoro Berries, got the first feathers message after the 2nd and ended up with Seafog Blue (93, 122, 154). So 2 O'Ghomoro Berries = -39R -28G +62B from my test. Any thoughts on how to get to Sky Blue (124, 171, 207)?
ok so if void blue is 14 35 61 -- then I feed him a cpl berries and like 2 pears? destination soot black
Oh and found adamantoise green today going millioncorn > honey > plum purple > adamantoise green
Starting to get lost, wondering if anyone can offer some advice. I'm trying to get to Storm Blue, Midnight Blue, or Ink Blue.
Journey thus far---With a some berries and pears I got it to Peacock Blue, took the presumably incorrect spreadsheets advice and fed it a grand total of 25 Berries/10 Pears and got to Othard Blue....
..from there I fed it 7 or 8 apples until i got a fethers proc thinking that would be Storm Blue but I got Gloom Purple.
I just finished feeding it 3 Pears x3 procs and 3 Berries x3 procs.
Should I try anything else before the time is up in 3 hours or just see where I end up?
Hello everyone! Just been reading this thread non-stop trying to find out all there is to know about this expensive new feature before diving into it and breaking my bank!
So here's wut I did (e-mailed it to myself after doing it).
Val- fed 11/ 9 changes
O-Berry- fed 5/ 5 changes
Apple- fed 5/ 5 changes
(Rank 4- Stable was Good)
Was hoping to get something other then Yellow or green and was aiming for black or purple ... but afterwards I looked back at this and saw that what I did was very much close to wut people did for pink colors like Coral Pink ... and I came back a hour ago to find this.

Any color gurus here know the best route towards taking Carol Pink and turning it into either Snow White/ Ice Blue/ Iris purple or Celeste Green?
Current Colour: Void Blue
14R 35G 61B
Destination Colour: Soot Black
37R 35G 30B
You would want to give him a pear but not the berries. Maybe try the following to see if it slides you into Soot Black range:
x3 Apples
x2 Pineapple
x1 Pear
This should put your end values roughly around 34R, 35G, 31B (assuming +/- 5 average integer) which is almost at Soot Black (might still need a bit more tweaking); RNG is still a factor depending on where you're at in the Void Blue values so mileage may vary.
P.S: Don't hate me if it doesn't get you Soot Black :(
Hey.
Currently my chocobo is Othard Blue: 41 81 130.
Goal: Soot Black
Please help!
If you are at coral pink it means you are close to the max value of red in the RGB, you'll need to increase by feeding doman plum to completely remove the redness, if fed 11 but now I realized it might have been overkill since rose pink is already so close to white, since yours is coral I'd say feed at least 6 successfully, just in case, this should bring you to ice blue or a color close to it, if it's the later then feed successfully one pineapple at a time until you reach ice blue, it might take a lot of time since it's every six hours tho.
The alternative would be to completely remove the blueness by feeding 6 pineapples, which would bring you to Snow White and then feed one berry (successfully of course), that's how I went back from white to ice since I liked ice better than white.
For the rest I can't tell :/
maybe im not understanding the way it works, Wouldn't giving him berries lower the blue (towards 0) while raising red/grn then give some green to get that back lower while raising red again?
Either way its done as I gave him 4 berry messages and 2 pear messages before I seen this post. Will let you know results in 4 hours
I've been trying to get to Iris Purple using the point system people post but I'm having trouble understanding. ^_^ So this is my process so far, maybe someone could help me!
Desert Yellow -> Fed 7 apples, 8 berries. (I'm not sure how many procs of new feathers)
1st Color: Coral Pink -> Fed 7 berries. One Proc.
RED 0--------------------|-----255 [200]
GREEN 0----------|---------------255 [101]
BLUE 0--------|-----------------255 [087]
2nd Color: Plum Purple -> Used 2 Pineapple. One Proc. (lighten blue, increased yellow)
RED 0----------|---------------255 [114]
GREEN 0------|-------------------255 [075]
BLUE 0---------|----------------255 [101]
3rd Color -> Coral Pink
RED 0--------------------|-----255 [200]
GREEN 0----------|---------------255 [101]
BLUE 0--------|-----------------255 [087]
How did my red jump 86 points with two pineapple? :/ Where do I even go from here?
Thank you for the tip. I was just thinking in the wrong direction. I ended up with chocolate brown so it was progress away from the loop I was stuck in so thank you very much. Now just need to get the steps down to Sunset.

Fruits only have one effect, there is no lighten x and darken y and z, y and z appear darker only because you removed x, but their value never got up, otherwise it'd be impossible to get white in multiple feeds like I did since every step would cancel the previous one.
The issue with the RGB number's is that we know the RGB's of certain colours but it's impossible to determine how far each individual's Chocobo is into a certain colour range. SE's system recognized that you were at Plum Purple but the exact Plum Purple RGB value's were likely not what your Chocobo was at behind the scenes; unfortunately this is where a bit of RNG comes into play (mileage may vary).
I tried the [O'Ghomoro Berry x3, Mamook Pear x1, Xelphatol Apple x1] recipe in order to get Aldgoat Brown, but instead ended up with Cork Brown.
If it makes any difference, I gave my chocobo the apple first, then the pear, then the three berries.
Unfortunately you are not correct. Please refer to this post before passing on false info. :)
Rolanberry Red to Midnight Blue was 4 pear and 4 berry (feather messages not actual fruit)
It actually makes sense as 3 pear and 3 berry got Rolanberry to Abyssal and this is a bit darker so...
Still debating on what I'm going to try next.
Unfortunately I am correct, the post you linked only confirmed that I'm not the only one to think like that, the other colors are more apparent because you removed one of them, it's natural, automatic, call it however you want, it won't change the fact that if you remove green from a equal setting for all three color you'll get purple, not because you also added blue and red but because the absence of greed made the other two more "vibrant"
I'm not sure where I got info., maybe here, but the berries x 20 and pears x 20 from original color did give me Turquoise just from one session of feeding.
Thanks! :D Can't decide if I want to keep or go for the Morbol Green! Anyone find that one yet? XD

Managed to get Ink Blue! I predicted either Deepwood Green since I thought that I would have gave it too many pears or Ink Blue would be the result. But I had managed to get the one I wanted.
I followed this post to kind of snowball the exact RGB values and it worked.
