yeah and i bet only a handful of japanese understand english well enough to resolve this issue. and probably most of those english speaking japanese are NOT in square enix... oh my... we're done for! T.T

No. They refunded the money without any kind of information. There was no official announcement accompanying the refund that told you to wait and that you would get the game for free as compensation (hell, there still isn't).
SE kept us in the dark and it is that lack of communication that is getting so many people irate.
Standard business practice implies that if you get a full refund for a product, you ain't gettin the product. This whole fiasco is SE's fault, period.
Your wrong. I've seen the screen shots of the message we were supposed to receive. We get a full refund and a complimentary copy of the edition we preordered. Only people who preordered the CE have yet to receive our free copy or message. It's more than a free copy, it also fixes our "no valid account" issue.
That would be awesome but i believe the reason we are "getting" the game for free is kinda for that. Now if the "extra items" are the CE bonuse and the SE guys get that im gona be pissed that i sat around this much longer than the SE guys and they get a free upgrade out of it also

No I am not wrong and your post proves it. I recieved my refund YESTERDAY morning and got no messages from SE or PSN. It is not until you recieve the "golden ticket" XMB message that they tell you that they are giving you a complimentary copy...and lo and behold, I have still not recieved my XMB message.
If I didn't frequent FFXIV boards I would have no knowledge of any kind of compensation. Even the message on the client launcher only says to check your XMB for more information.
Exactly if I didn't dig and research I wouldn't have known about any compensation. That doesn't change the fact that we are to be compensated. I don't get what your trying to get at. We are supposed to receive a message and we are aware of the contents but have not yet received them. Something is wrong here. People who don't get online and check for solutions are just left in the dark till it does get addressed.
settle down. i agree with you though. they (Square enix) could have posted in here, in the official sites, in the ff14 launcher or in twitter, fb or any social media. but no, they kept their asses i mean mouths shut. we had to rely on cheapskate Standard Edition purchasers to know what was in the XMB msg.

Where are the screenshots? If you got a full refund for an item it wouldn't make sense for a company to also give a product free of charge. SE would have to give fair compensation for ALL its customers who preordered whether they were afflicted with this problem or not. One month free subscription would make more sense.
screens have been posted before and no a company does not "HAVE" to give everyone who preordered the product the same. We are getting this for comp due to we dont have EA now and this was a issue affecting those who trusted Sony to get their shit right on the 13-16 release days
There is a screenshot in another thread just like this one and it informes sbout the refund and the game free of charge and people here downloading it for free as an apology for this. We hace been in this threads all night, you just popped up and stirring things up
it makes sense because those who purchased standard edition ALMOST did not get into EA.
While we collectors edition purchasers ABSOLUTELY did not get into the EA.
it all boils down to false advertising. we can obviously sue them for false advertising, and a class suit at that.
Free copies and items are the least of their concerns, but lawsuits tend to attract bad publicity, which i believe wont really help ff14:ARR at all.

They are not obligated to compensate people who were not afflicted. You got what you spent your money on, no compensation needed. We who bought and are having issues are being compensated. The screenshots are in the thread where me and beater came from. It's probably buried but someone with the SE took pics of her XMB message. You can find the screen shots yourself. I'm on my phone.
What I am getting at is in response to one of your earlier posts which was erroneous...

We were not told to wait or what the exact purpose of the refund was for. Some even used the refund to purchase the SE edition becuase it was the only one available for those that purchased the CE version. SE or Sony or both screwed those who purchased the CE version, period.
Man, don't start throwing the word "lawsuit" around. It's excessive and completely unwarranted.
Yeah, it sucks we can't play. Lots of people specifically made time for early access just to be disappointed. But if you start throwing that word around it just makes us look bad, especially since they immediately credited our PSN wallets.
Btw, you should request people like your post on your OP. It'll get more attention that way.

Apparently people in game are saying you can upgrade to CE later for 20 bucks. So with the 39.99 you spend to get Standard we will be able to upgrade it on the 27th. Just checking back in with you guys with info as I get it cause this does suck balls. I really wanted helm of light and chocobo armor
You misunderstand me I'm not saying SE should give all people who preordered a free copy whether they had issues or not. To be fair with all those who preordered a one month free subscription would be best. 3 days of early start is nothing compared to a free month subscription. That way everyone will be fairly treated.
