?? Bro, 99% of your department are male Roes. What in the hells do you mean, lol.
My hero growing up was Optimus Prime, you know, the transformable alien robo-truck.
I'm a woman from a latin american country that has been tethering on the edge of economical collapse since I can remember.
I clearly had nothing in common with a robot, yet I looked up to him, because the values he represented reached me so, maybe, other things are more important than just looking to share a few characteristics with a fictional character?
Also Leon-O was number 2 in my list of childhood heroes... and I'm not even a redhead.
Dude, we already have Urianger and Thancred as main characters. They literally raised a daughter together, what more do you want?

Aren't all the scions canonically bisexual anyway? Idk, from the designs and aesthetic I've always seen the FF series to generally be in the realms of genderfluidity and queerness, even if it's not explicit in actually saying those things but rather, just simply being those things where a "man" doesn't necessarily have to be Kenshiro, character designs vary from the broad and strong to svelte and androgynous while allowing the characters to have personalities that don't have to match the stereotypes of their looks.
Like sure I'm all for seeing more LGBTQIA+ acceptance and portrayal in media in general but, can we also appreciate that there's already a lot done both in XIV and other entries in the series that embraces that, and there'll likely be more as time goes on?
Like idk, personally I want meaningful narratives and characters who are the byproduct of their own life experiences/choices rather than just a character made by any company to signal "Yes we accept you" with no further depth than "I'm gay", while also happily censoring that stuff in Russia/UAE releases because it's really the money they care about, not your personal feelings. Not to say SE do that - evidently they didn't when they decided to not release XVI in UAE/Saudi Arabia for these exact reasons but yeah!
Just give me good, meaningful things to experience
From what I remember, not long after the games release Yoshi-P or one of the lore devs actually answered a question about this (not about the scions themselves directly though).
He basically explained that ‘sexuality’ as we understand it (i.e gay/straight/bi) doesn’t really exist as a concept in Eorzea. People just like what they like and don’t seem to categorise it as being one way or another. I think that’s probably why when we do get references to same-sex relationships (I.e Rising Vendor and her wife), it’s not treated any differently than any other relationship would be. Which, makes sense in a fantasy world where people can literally change their gender by drinking a potion lol.
For the Scions themselves, I’d imagine from a writing standpoint they’ll forever remain ‘vaguely asexual’. That is to say, the Scions wont ever have direct relationships with others; instead, they’ll leave it up to the players imaginations, so I wouldn’t imagine they’d want to categorise any of them as specifically liking one thing or the other.
Basically, "Use your head canon" í ½í¸„
What are you talking about? The game already has an LGBTQ member in the main cast. It's you, the player. You are gay.
Can we just leave the real life out of the FANTASY games? Yeah? That would be great!
true. since its fantasy we need even more gender.
Genders the likes of which you've never even dreamed~
Next ppl will ask why no one in the Avatar/Korra series was a master of Gender Bending...
The question is will DawnTrail surprise us at all bc it hasn't so far. It's done the opposite.
I think everyone can agree that the biggest surprise would be Viera and Hrothgar getting more headpiece options.
We got em, fellas.

its all just a reference to ff8. there is no romantic relationship ever, not even implied. theyre just friends.... god why would the devs introduce mitron just to do that to him... why do the supposed fans of gaia not even respect that mitron was her lover and think shed literally just jump right down rynes throat the minute mirton died.. i just cant even get my head round this....
people keep using this rainbow crystal as some kind proof its LGBTQ! but heres the thing.. its not... the colour of the crystal represents the aetherial aspects infused within eden, the first sineater. inside his body ( eden) id all 6 elemental aspects, there are places in game (matoyas relict, mothercrystal) where we see infused aether and rainbow is what you get. this isnt some LGBTQ moment, this was a perfectly explainable story element. i just hate this ship so much because it its so dissrectful to ryne, gaia, mitro and honestly.. the devs.. whatever age ryne may have been changed to back in shb the nude mods ppl were makingof her were enough to get s.e in very hot water regarding child s.e. so in my books, shes a minor, so is gaia, theyre friends. im sorry?
"The warrior of light isn't azem" I feel like this is a fundamental misunderstanding here. While in memory he, logrig and amon do not remember there past lives, they Are still those people. Back in she a short story was published on the lodestone about emet azem and lahabrae, where the wol demands to save indigenous peoples over grapes, in ew this line is quoted by your character in a side quest "id stop a volcano for those grapes" amon rejected his past self by constantly trying to prove to him that meteons answer was correct, but in the aitascope he admits he was allways trying to find the answer his past self couldn't let go of. While logrif/gaia does not embrace her ascian self she Does not discard mitron as her lover and especially not for ryne. During e12s when mitron dies gaia is distraught over it before she regains her memories. She also bids farewell to mitron hoping they'll meet in the next life.
There is just nothing there... I cannot debunk it any further, at this point people are huffing that copium for a ship that is supported by literally having biscuits together and a crystal that's supposed to rainbow coloured.
Aah, so the likely true reason you were so vocally against people 'shipping' Ryne and Gaia comes out. If the shit Mitron pulled during Eden seemed okay to you (not to mention the absurd age difference at play), then I don't know what to tell you...
Hmm? I'm not sure what you're implieng. I just think the foundation for the ship is weaker than a demolished building. I've allways said this. I don't ship gaia and mitron.. I mean for one he's dead... thats not even gona be rewarding. But I just see those 2 as being for each other. I doubt gaia would find love in her current life or even want it... People have better things to do in life than allways pay off a romantic interest

Side quest reply options play with the fourth wall all the time. (My favorite is from one of the first unlock quests for the Nier raids where the WoL just straight out says that it doesn't actually matter how they reply.) Calling that proof of anything is a massive stretch, especially given the English localization team's well-known love of slipping jokes and references into dialogue.
Hermes' memory of Meteion's answer was wiped at the end of Ktisis Hyperboreia. He didn't remember it until after dying and rejoining the lifestream (where we later see that Emet-Selch and Hythlodaeus also regained their memory of the WoL's visit to Elpis). Amon's rejection of his past self was because he spoke to the resurrected Xande, found out there was nothing after death, and had a mental breakdown.Quote:

Savage isn't canon. Check the duty description, it's clearly stated to be, in Eden's case, "distorted memories of your recent encounters".Quote:
