What's still unbalanced? I know they made a ton of adjustments with patch 1.22.

I agree that the seals need to be fix. Seriously at least on my server no one dose choco escorts and you sure as hell dont see anyone doing the company leves. Its one thing to have a time sink but at what point dose it become worthless? As of right now the company leves and well as choco escort is worthless, even camping the NM's for seals isnt worth the time you invest in camping said NM's. I dont know what SE is thinking when they decided to drop this 25k seal on the players. If this is in fact to get the AF weapons it would make more sense to beable to get the key item for less and than making it more work to get the actual things needed to get said AF. I am not asking for it to be easy or free but the hardest part of the quest, job or whatever you want to call it would be the middle and ending for it. As it stands right now players can either spam leves, spam NM's, chocobo escorts or the level 25 dungeon for seals. As it is players are going toward the level 25 dungeon and thats something that SE should have thought of and designed the seals so that they are balanced across the board. As it stands now it makes more sense to spam the level 25 dungeon for seals than do the other seal content.
we dont really need more seals but we do need more access to them.
Just a lil Note: 120-325/350 Seal and good party can farm 325/350 a run for 2k+ in 1hr.. so it not far off form Toto-Then .. how many ppl even know what Pack Chocobo is??? It's rare to see ppl even out there to. Most ppl wont do it becu you need 4+ ppl All lv50 (x4Blm or My LS run it x2Blm/x1PLD/x1WHM) that if you cant get Full party of same GC.
That scenerio is fine for someone like me. I will be 65 in 3 days and am retired. I can afford to play all day and do the things that you suggest. I sincerely doubt 99% of the player base is in the same position. Most have RL responsibilities and can only spend serveral hours a day, at most, playing. So, unless, you are suggesting that they concentrate one 1 Discipline at the expense of the others the Leve System is a great way for them to develope a well rounded character.
That is fine for battle classes but crafting should not be lvled up for free. It should always be an investment. That way it will weed out the folks who really don't want to do it. I just don't think it would be good for the games economy to let ppl just lvl crafts for free.
I sincerely doubt making crafting easier to level will ruin the game's economy. There are plenty of other things that affect the economy besides crafting. Drops from monsters and gathering perhaps play a far bigger role, but nobody seems to mind that too much when folks discuss battlecraft levelling.
If anything, letting folks level crafts for free from leves is a GOOD thing for the economy, at least as far as keeping synthesis actually profitable (Which I'm guessing is your issue, because the major legitimate concern over an increase in crafters is a decreased price of finished goods from competition). Guildleves allow players to level up their crafts without crafting oodles and oodles of trash.
The requirement to create so much random crap and find some way to get at least some sort of a return out of it is what leads to crafting almost never being profitable in any MMO: You wind up with far much supply than there is demand for, and players eventually wind up selling for less than it costs to make simply because they want to get SOMETHING for return, rather than just dropping the item on the ground.
so on Saturday afternoon i was locked out of toto-rok because of instance congestion. i cant believe there's people who think the methods of attaining seals dont need balancing,lol.

I believe the company seals needs to be fixed but aside from that would like a buy back feature for the grand company gear, not asking to refund 100% but maybe half or even 1/3 of the paid amount being refunded would help alleviate the inventory issue for grand company gears not being used any more.
不要になったグランドカンパニー装備品の軍票との交換については、軍票の入出量のバランスから望まれているような「半分」、「1/3」での交換というのは難しいと考えていますが、実装を検討してみます。
Regarding grand company gears not in use being changed back to seals, from looking at company seals stand point receiving half or 1/3 of the refund is hard but will try to look into this.

Also since it's related to company seals wanted to let you know that we are planning to have 1.22a HotFixes to increase the amount of company seals obtainable from company leve's and caravan defense.

In 1.22b it's only for Ifrit weapons but checking the situation later on we will look into addressing the same for Moogle/Garuda weapons as well.
In the upcoming patch 1.22a hotfix, we will be increasing the amount of seals rewarded from Grand Company leves and caravan security quests.

IMO they should lower the reward for toto weapons and increase the reward for escort missions. Mantain DH rewards but make at least 8 weapons drop normally, so everyone can get one.
Its pretty lame we are grinding a level 30 dungeon.
Awesome news. Hopefully in a patch down the line they can modify those "takes an entire 15 minutes even when you really could have made it 5-7 minutes" missions, those things are a drag.
I think the secret here is a lot of job-switching. Certain set of jobs for running, certain set for Ogre, certain set for Batty, etc. I can respect some people wanting to do it this way, but me, I just want to stick as one job for an entire run.
But yes, a bit of tweaing for seal rewardments is definately a good idea all around. And will help breathe life into old mechanics that may have been tossed aside.
DH is so easy now you can tank Batrall straight up with no healer.

Company leve seals are based on difficulty and the objective, too. Hopefully that means the 15-minute ones give a worthwhile amount.
actually the patch notes just says the "bonus" seals for GC leves were adjusted. So unless the bonus rewards are more than the actual leve rewards it's still only gonna be like 600-800 seals/hr.
And now toto rak is on 15 min timer, boooo
Takes my friend and I about 11 minutes on our fastest runs to do. If we lazily do the dungeon it can take about 14 mins, so I'm not too torn up about this.
On 5 stars GC leves I'm seeing about 190 to 240 seals per run, seems to be determined by performance and difficulty settings. 90 base, 100 for stars and then another 50 for performance.
Still, 190-240 per 15 minutes (shorter jumps between the /poke leve) is better than farming NMs. I cant speak for the Toto runs, haven't done them for seals.
Roughly eying it, I'd still think totorak wins.
My buddy and I farm at least 3 runs before returning to uldah to turn in items. Between the both of us, we get *at least* 2k seals or more.
Used to take us 11 minutes but now we can probably slow ourselves down to 15 so we don't have to wait much (if at all) to re-enter.
So in 45 minutes we've earned roughly 2k seals between the both of us.
I havent done caravan after this patch, but according to the notes: the high level rewards 500 for a perfect run. Assuming a perfect run, the quest is still on a 15 minute timer. So really in about the same 45 minutes of time, you should be able to finish 3 escorts.
500x3 = 1500 seals for 45 minutes of work.
Again, I haven't tried choco escorts in a while, but I remember that there were occasional bonuses given to the seals on random runs. If i recall correctly, the max for a perfect normal run was 150? and 250 for one of the random bonus ones. Never figured out whether it was triggered somehow or completely random.
Either way, if the choco escorts provide a bonus to seals, the bonus would have to exceed 500 seals over the course of 3 runs in order to hit that 2k mark to make it *just* comparable to totorak runs. Thats assuming every single run is perfect mind you, whereas in totrak you are pretty much guaranteed 5x Average of 200~250 item seals and a chance of random 300 seal items from chests around the map.
If someone get report how much bonus seals they are getting, i can see how well worth it, or not it is to do escorts.
