This is a daily reminder to add glowing weapons for Wolf Collars. ^_^
A pvp relic style weapon would be cool to work towards for example: starting with buying the base weapon with wolf collars from the feast shop and then having its own requirements and grind to do to make a brand new unique glowing weapon that people can achieve by playing matches and gaining wolf marks for materials to make it; perhaps doing challenges like winning x matches to increase its progress.
We need more long-term pvp goals in general especially when seasons are down.
I really like this idea. But and this is a huge but. PvP isn't balanced well enough to have wins be the only means of progressing. Also funneling people into feast for something like this is probably asking for anger of quite a magnitude. But a long term goal like this with an obscene amount of participation required for frontlines could justify the 72man. A faster more rewards per win for feast. Or bringing back something like fold as an off type of game that can also progress.
Edit or make two tiers one feast and one frontlines and give them different glows. That is probably not that much work either.
A fine example of why we need to organize and centralize:

I am not sure when you started. But a lot of very large threads get ignored. SE is very selective on what they answer housing is also not the best example. So not exactly sure what that has accomplished besides fluff changes.
But if the forums were better moderated we would have a sticky for each Role Healer, Tank, Ranged, Melee. Any new threads that were relevant for that would be dumped into them or deleted. We would have one for feast and frontlines. People don't want to be page 100 they want to be first. That is "part" of the reason forums have moderators.
Get rid of marks for ranked PvP. Change the collars vendor. to offer more than the weapons. Award collars for wins in ranked feast during season instead (collars every 10 wins or whatever seems necessary - do not give any for losing because we all know how that will end). Offer a vendor for the collars similar to the mythology tomes where you can buy old pve mounts and other random bits of cosmetics like the pixie earrings. I know people those of us who play ranked want more things to spend our collars on because atm it's just wait until season is over for reward and that's it - since there's nothing else really to play for when you have most of the weapons and all the titles, likewise people who don't normally play ranked actually want something to proactively play for. There needs to be some degree of reward from playing ranked that is progressively better the more you play it to encourage people to not only start, but improve.
(Idea came from Tiffany/Yan from the Elemental DC on JP Customs discord)
Having played all the tanks since 5.1, I can say that DRK and PLD feel like the best picks at the moment in feast, they provide an instant shield, aoe mitigation and good debuffs on the enemy team. I feel WAR could be placed on the same level if they were to change nascent flash, one idea is to provide a small shield like its pve counterpart, or have an excog like effect when the targets hp drops below a certain % and maintain a hp return from dealing damage. WAR would feel just as good as DRK and PLD if they made a change to nascent flash, I haven’t tried out GNB much but their shield is also weaker, and they lack a strong debuff like what DRK and PLD have.
FRC tank main gives misinformation ouchies
In my humble opinion, there are a few changes that I'd recommend considering:
1. I think Ranged DPS should have their free additional action Phantom Dart swapped with Drain. That way they inherently always have the additional regeneration.
2. Reduce the number of potions Tanks can use from 3 to 2. (They are already quite tanky and with slight additional tuning to their defensive skills would still be more than resilient enough.)
3. Increase the number of potions for Ranged DPS from 2 to 3. (This in combination with # 1 would allow Ranged DPS to be much less guaranteed kills than they currently are.)
4. Increase the cooldown on Chiten and Riddle of Earth from 15 seconds to 20 seconds.
5. Tune potion use "wind up" to occur faster to prevent strange server tick issues.
6. Bring back AST's infinite benefic 1 loop mechanic and further buff SCH so that each healer is unique and viable.
7. Slightly reduce MNK burst damage.
8. Extend / enable Blood of the Dragon for DRG when completing their basic combo in addition to starting it.
And more. These are just a few ideas I think could improve the current PVP meta.
Allow us to talk to a npc to opt in on open world pvp.
Make FATES based on that.
Have some kind of rankings for grand companies that would reward ???stones based on a maximum reward that is based on your personal participation.
Add glowing weapons and gear to it.
Bring back moral stat for this mode only.
Change the weather effects for players participating. Like thick fog, aether imbalance or what ever.
Lastly, make dragoon great again!
Not that I agree with any of his suggestions but you do realise melee take more damage than anyone else - it's just their actual job defensive toolkit is too low cd and thus too easy to cycle through which in fairness he's addressed in #4 (and those cds aren't nearly high enough btw, chiten is broken). Also, doesn't seem unrealistic to me that a melee DPS deals far more damage than a tank and the DRG buff he's suggesting isn't even that bad - it's just not what Dragoon actually needs right now. The vast majority of the suggestions on this thread are related to Feast, which you don't play.
#6 is stupid though, in both parts.
Melee definitely take the most damage. I'm not sure exactly what DRG needs, but I would certainly love to hear what you think. Imho I think a minor quality of life improvement like the one I suggested wouldn't propel them to #1 Melee status but would serve as a good way to compliment their new kit.
The suggestions I made were with most pvp content in mind. I personally like #6 because with the potency reductions and other nerfs I think AST wouldn't be the best even by bringing back the infinite benefic 1 loop. To me, it represented an opportunity to give them a unique level of healing mobility that allowed them to be differentiated from the other healers.
That said, I'm not a healer main and am not as privy to where everything is balance wise right now. It seems to me that WHM is distinctly the most powerful followed by SCH. So perhaps with a bit of tuning each can be on par. I was sad to see AST get nerfed into the ground and felt it was a bit heavy handed.
rly liked watching the EU feast cup btw drk/whm/mnk/dnc mirrors yes very good game meta
Still only 72man frontlines. Not surprised, just disappointed. Also we have a new mode that will likely be unplayable most of the time. Fantastic. Well done square.
Put this in the other thread but disappointed about having only new map on the daily challenge. The other maps are now gonna be dead with dead rewards because you removed 24 man FL. Having it still rotate would also keep people playing longer trying to get the mount, as well as get people new to PvP have a chance to try the others out/get those rewards.
Might have been suggested before but a true PvP mentor status would be great. It could be based on x-amount of wins in both ranked feast and frontline ques, as well as an accumulation of various Feast/Frontline achievements such as "Win 100 feast matches as dps" 'Win 100 feast matches as heal" "win 100 as tank" "lead grand company to X wins" "x amount of wins on seal rock" "x wins on shatter" etc.
Time for NA players to make an alt on Japanese Data Center and get our assess kicked because we are not as team oriented >.>p
Might as well double down on Feast to make top 100 from EN/EU/JP/CN.
Battle high continues to be a bad mechanic. If outright removal isn't possible, then cutting the bonuses in half is a good start. I'd rather it was just taken out for good though; the reward for succeeding is that you win. No other boosts are needed.
