Doma rebuild and Domans start families and such
They already said in-game that the reconstruction will continue in a future patch.
I assume the docks and the areas behind Hien's mansion will also be fixed/improved at some point.
It made me sad that the Doman reconstruction wasn't paced to last the majority on 4.3....
I just just dont understand why SE refuses to provide any form of side content with long term progression. I'm glad BfA is coming soonish at least
While I agree with the lack of long term progression, talking about bfa as a better way is eeeeh? Wow has a history of making everything irrilevant since mop by now, I can already tell you that next expansion will be rid of azerite gear, since.....I dunno.,...... apparently they like to program things only to trash them.
BUT HEY! They still have that mission table! You know the one everybody liked! But dw you can start all over again because those wod and LEEEEEEEEEGION followers would make yourself too strong for new players!...............bah
On the doman enclave.
I think Ppl should tell to SE that making a 20k gil/week when the game has allagan platinum coin and demimaterias is stupid.
I suppose they thought that 20k would take up some times to do, but with the existance of those items it doesn't take much more than 2 minutes every week.
Ergo since we already know that new updates will come with 4.4 (it's told you by the system) they should consider the existance of those items and either increase the amount of gil/week or outright make them unsellable to the enclave
What would be the point, other than create the most redundant form of artificial difficulty? The content itself is bizarre too when you stop to think about it - we'll help you make money, and give you some cutscenes to boot!
So long as what the enclave gives is money, changing what they accept will make the content not worth it awards-wise. Most items people would give to the Enclave would fetch a much higher price on the MB, and most things that are pure trash would take such a long time to fill the quota with it's not a viable alternative.
The only way I can see this surviving without clear demimateria and allagan pieces is if they convert it to being another form of leveling. Have them give experience based on what class you handed things in on. Battle classes and DoL classes can provide the Enclave with materials. DoH classes can help with the actual making of things for the Enclave. And since this will obviously apply to the future stages, if you're max level, they have plot basis to give you scrips.
Not gonna lie, that's what I thought the Enclave was going to be originally, not just a glorified vending npc...
We already have GC turn-ins I don't see the problem or the it won't survive without the demimaterias and allagan coins. The point of this is to rebuild a zone which unlocks a secret shop and more. I'd say that it's better than the GC turns-in if you ask me.
Wanna make them give us a special tokens to use in the shops? Fine it could, point is that they wanted to incentive this with a monetary reward and imho 20k is nothing when a single platinum allagan coin gives you 18k. Imho the only reason they made the weekly cap was to avoid ppl spamming the coins to finish it in 30 mins or so
Tenacity grade 5 materia is cheap and about 15-20 do the trick
GC turn-ins are amazing if you're still leveling and give you GC seals too. Also achievement points, if there was anything to do with them after the Claw mount.
The Enclave gives money and less achievement points right now. As far as awards are concerned, it doesn't hold a candle to GC hand-ins imo.
The housing items are nice and the Sadu-minion item, but they'd need at least a couple of minions and a mount to be comparable to, say, beast tribe quests. Otherwise it's a waste of a token, and for pretty mindless content besidesQuote:

How easy it is to finish weekly and how good the return of investment is are the only things it has going for it compared to any other comparable form of content.Quote:

Not sure if anyone has noted this...
Demicrystals for poetics actually work great for this to add in with allagan pieces. It's not at all that difficult to contribute that way since the crystals are so cheap.
It's really not a grind compared to other grinds in this game.
If you do roulettes daily and stockpile gear from dungeons you can meet the quota easily.
Look all valid points, cept one, the fact taht you say it's kept alive by the fact it can be done with demimaterias and allagan coins.
It's a personal objective it's not a collaborative one as such it's kept alive as much as squadrons are. Whatever you decide to do with this is your choice alone and doesn't really influences devs decision.
The fact is, that if it's supposed to be a personal objective to strive for, they should at least make it so that it's not something that you can forget about or beign as shallow as is. 20k gil is not really something hard to reach as many ppl have said I brought up the allagan platinum because that aloke is nearly enough to do it in 1 turn-in.
As things stands it's not really you can immerse yourself with, if you care for world buiulding content and it's time gate its the worst thing ever. Imho a daily thing would've been better not really a weekly one (this can apply to custom deliveries too btw).
The rest of the criticism of the rewards I agree, but I think it would be good to make this content feeling a bit more like it matters more than a 5 mins on tuesday thing, btw when I spoke about GC turns-in I meant the expert deliveries ones not the daily ones
Most content in the game doesn't let you immerse yourself with it. Even beast tribe quests very quickly become something you click your way through and finish in ten minutes a day. Difference is, they give me a lot more for my trouble. If they wanted to do proper world-building this is about the worst way they could've done it in. I can easily get 20k worth of items and gil running a side-quest chain that would've given me the same story. So in that case I suppose we agree even if for different reasons - this system is less than ideal.
Consider, though, what's even the world-building you're getting here? It's pretty minimal, the only thing giving it a pretense of volume is the wait. And given that they're, you know, building the place from scratch, the wait actually helps the illusion imo.Quote:

Given that expert deliveries give me a fortune in GC seals, and GC seals hold items that are either exclusive or really hard to get otherwise, and are useful besides, my point still stands. It's better than this.Quote:

That's why i'm saying that they should improve this content though.
I've shown a point that as of now this is a very forgetful content and they could make it better.
I mean what you say about the GC from the expert is true, I used them to say that we already have a similar system and that one works better also they don't limit yourself with 20k GC seals with
Maybe I should've mentioned that I wanted other parts to be done better in my first post, but I thought that was a given. That said I still think that if they wanted for us to get those 20k as a week long goal, with the existance of allagan coil and demimaterias they have missed the mark by a long shot
They limit you with 80k seals. Big cap but a cap nonetheless, and worse if you're lower rank.
I agree this content is kind of meh, but the solution isn't going to be blocking allagan pieces of any kind. As others mentioned, it's not difficult to cap on it even without the platinum pieces. The problem is the system itself, not how easy it is to cap.
well they block you to earn more than 80k, but since you can spend them you can earn them limitless.
I'm not saying that it should be something like Luin city of ruin in tales of symphonia, but it should at least something I can work on and change the enviroment. I mean I like the idea, other maybe not, SE seems to be giving us more actions in the upgrades of settlements which is an interesting things.
However if they want to limit how fast we can progress each week at least 3-4 allagan platinum coil should be needed not 1 and 1 tier 3 demimaterias.
I agree that something in the system needs to change too ofc, but as said if they keep making mystakes like that with designs on contents problems like this will always pops up. You can weekly lock something that is cleared in 5 mins
Its 20k... I'm always broke and I have no trouble doing it each week. I got so much garbage in my inventory and this has been a great way to clear it out and get something neat in return... Just try out different items, some really make a dent others are just a few gil. Do some Leve's that give you gear as a drop then pump that in. Or if this system is just too hard for you, avoid it. So far I see no benefit to doing this anyway.
I'm frustrated in general with 14 currently. The devs push out content that lasts 2days to a few weeks at most, yet require me to keep an active sub to keep my house.
I don't find wanting forms of content to last the full patch duration unreasonable when I'm paying a monthly fee to access the game.
Kind of bummed out this is already over, espe since there is visibly still broken down ruins outside the walls. Maybe they'll stealth update the Enclave in 4.4
I'm legitimately uncertain how this is considered "a grind". I've been saving the allagan pieces my retainers bring back plus a few clear demimateria I've picked up either from desynthing or Eureka since this started and when I vendored what I had leftover last night (I know it's coming back, but I'll have plenty more saved up by then and I wanted to clear my bags) I still had 80k worth and that's after dropping 40k per week (I was giving my friend some too since she never remembers to save hers.)
Even if you don't have a lot of retainers, even if you don't do Eureka, it's a piece of cake to get vendor trash in this game without doing anything other than what you'd normally do (run dungeons, craft, desynth, check retainers, etc.) And if you're not doing anything that generates vendor trash I'm going to have to assume you're not doing anything and at that point why are you still subscribed? Just so that you can come onto the forums and complain?
So then ask for more meaningful, legitimately lengthy content instead of asking for them to arbitrarily increase the lifespan of "content" that we do within ~5 minutes every week. Having several more weeks of spending all of a minute handing in a handful of demicrystals just to get to the same point we are now doesn't sound very compelling to me and sounds like a strange request from someone who apparently already feels SE is holding their sub hostage.
Asking for meaty content that lasts longer is something I can get behind. Asking for this to last longer, at least in the form it is now, is just confusing to me.
its maybe nothing to do with this thread, but do you think this donating and recovery can be applied to the area around Ala Mhigo ? I remember you got a quest to that place, and people telling about merchants and how it will be rebuild. It will be nice to take care of this place too :)
It's a possibility, though i would like they made this a bit more involved and less time gated
