Uh, no. There are specifics you are missing.

The complaints about the crystals is because it is the same system as the atma, a system people already did not like for its inherent rng. Some have suggested a type of safety net to prevent situations like "i have been farming for 6 hours without a drop.", because they do happen, even now. Others are complaining about the 3rd step,from the amount of work required to the fact that you need specialist crafter connections and/or a lot of gil.

Still more are complaining about the result of All this work, resulting in a weapon with bland stats, that will be outclassed in the next patch, if it isn't already outclassed in this one...and if the Zeta is to be believed, will ultimately be trashed like a coupon for....more grinding!

I provided a larger picture on the issue than what your borderline bemeaning post managed to do while you harp on about the atma farm, and only the atma farm as if that's the majority of complaints, when it's not. It's actually the minority of complaints given how many people turned in their zeta to skip it, but still a valid complaint nonetheless because of its pure RNG nature, and the fact they know people don't like it, and didn't want to serve it to us again, but they did anyway.

There's still the matter of everything else that you haven't so much as alluded to where I have, such as this:

The principal of the matter that it took 6 months for them to feed us something so... uninspired? With how little creative effort was invested into this 'content' people are rightfully left wondering 'why couldn't we have this in 2.0 when we had more of a reason to do this content when it was relevant?'. The handling of this all screams of padding to keep us busy, and people would sooner let their subs freeze out of hatred of this lack of quality, or until content worth paying for comes along.

You've completely failed to address these complaints from the past days, and say I've failed to understand what I've read? How so?

Like i explained to another naive person in a different thread, i know why peopel are upset over it, "waa because it's the same thing" yet not one of them or you could probably come up with a better idea. that didn't involve the relic take 2 days to complete at most. People are complaning for no valid reason other then "this takes to long, it's the same thing as previous relic" when involving relics is meant to take massive grinds and tasks that not everyone will be willing to do. Hence you just want to see your self type.

Ironic you mention this. The original relic from 2.0 didn't take grinds; it took the climbing of a skill wall. You could do it in a day, or it could take you weeks depending on how good you, or your groups were.

Some people whined about having to climb a skill wall, and it's part of the reason chores that take literally no real skill has been an integral part of relics ever since.

So yes, whining does change things, with a notable example being the relic questchain's transition from its 2.0 roots --> 2.2 onward. They call this 'putting your foot in your mouth'.

2.0 was the start of the game SE knew people didn't have lots of gill and crafts to depend on, so they made the 1st steps easy, and as you already seen it branced off to higher relics which got more tedious. Not a good example.

1.0 was the start of the game.

2.0 Had players from 1.0 as well as newcomers

3.0 had players from 2.0 as well as far more newcomers

That's not a valid excuse as to why they haven't made 2.0 relic a grind. Also, the roots of the 2.0 relic requirements were from before AAR. Your defense is weak.

They actually don't have to.

Despite your beliefs that people who complain have no better alternatives for the current grind, I've posted an idea in a different thread. In short, it takes after the 2.0 relic: people who can do content that qualifies as a challenge, but fair for most of the community, such as thordan ex/a1s/a2s can get through the 3rd step of their relic quest done quickly. If this was released between 3.0, and alexander normal's release, I'd put bismark ex, and ravana ex up there too.

The option of the grinds can remain there to satisfy the people who can't do the content for whatever reasons.

And all they'd have to do is add a few items to the drop tables for each encounter. No quest context rewriting required.

Meanwhile, all you've brought to the discussion so far is 'shut up and deal with it you whiny babies'.

It is an achievement, and there's no doubt there's going to be talk of this player far and wide. But even in the lens of cultural differences between japan and na, there is a concern for that level of dedication over a video game. There is a blurry line between dedication and addiction.

Just beastmen and poetics + law from running expert and lv 60 and lv 50 roulettes is 6 weeks. If you add one map a day, you make this less, possibly down to 4 weeks (but drop isn't 100%). If you grind some alex NM, even less. 6 weeks is before 3.2.

Its not our place to question whether someone is addicted to the game and even if it was we don't know this person personally and there's nothing we can do about it.

This could be the first time this person has ever continously played the game for hours. Likely? Probably not. But at the end of the day, it's not our business. I say congratulations to the person and if they are addicted, then hopefully they will seek help for that.

Am curious to know how long been farming for, though this did just give me an idea that could help alleviate the RNG of farming these crystals.

They could add something like an "Empty Crystal" to the game that you could set to x element to gather a certain element from doing x FATE, only able to carry 1 at a time and let's say it would cost 100 Allied Notes, 5k GC seals, 200 poetics, 100 laws etc. But basically the idea could be you could talk to an NPC in x zone and they will allow you the ability to infuse that Crystals with the proper element. Then you do FATEs as normal with the xp going towards the Crystal, then once you complete the Crystal you trade it back to the NPC for the element and let's say maybe it takes 10-15 FATEs to get 1 crystal in this manner but while you are doing it you can still get the crystal to drop. At least this way when people are farming that first part they don't have to get unlucky and always hit the % that doesn't drop that at least if they spend whatever currency of their choice they can guarantee to get the crystals they need per area in 30-45 FATEs rather than 3-x FATEs.

2.0 quest was a nerfed down catch up version of 1.0 relic quest. They didn't add grind to it (or better removed the grind out of it, like Hamlet Defence) so the new players can get themselves on the same progress step as a 1.x player. At the end, the devs saw then that the playes got their relics too fast if there is no grind.

Or the reason we have pure grinds to this degree in place is because we had enough people who didn't want a challenging fight involved with relic weapons again after titan hm (which is actually one of the reasons why we never again had fights like that involved with our relic), so we get greater concentrations of pure grind, and tediousness than we coulda've had otherwise (come on... poetics? 2.x dungeons? for our 3.15 relic? really?).

I'm willing to put money on the fact that IF they had the guts to challenge players for their relic again by making us do thordan EX, or even A1S, a huge portion of the relic's 3rd step would cease to be, hence my modest suggestion: give us the option of doing some challenging content for it, or grinding our sanity away.

Before you say 'gordian rewards challenge seekers', as a SCH who downed a4s, my best weapon comes from this relic grind, while I don't even get a title (apparently it was supposed to be illuminati quencher, but they put that in normal, probably to appease the incapable). There's many things wrong with that.

Also when people say something is hard in game forums, it generally refers to content difficulty. But then, I think you misread both posts. 2.0 relics weren't easy, and were not quick as a result for many unless you had good players, which was hard to find.

Does anyone actually know his game name, This can easily be fact checked to see if he actually has the weapon, as that is strange,

Okay, so you want a wall that you can climb in a single day if you're part of the elite and/or know people who are, to avoid the grind. The only way I'd agree to less grind of harder challenges is if it's still a grind and takes about the same time/effort, like doing 4x less savage runs than normal, rather than just doing 1 hard challenge.
