Hard, no. Boring as piss, yes.

got almost 50m, it's really not that hard - tip.. look into desynth.
For all of those who don't know how to make easy gil without crafting or gathering. I'ma tell you how. No market board, no long grind sessions and no RNG! You can even bring a friend.
• One ex roulette per day. Remember to give a commendation each time. 12600 gil/week
• All clan marks per day. Take out your chocobo.105000122500 gil/week
• Six level 56 battle leves per day. ("Two Birds, One Culling" and "Don't Eat the Shrooms" in Cloudtop. Once a week, replace 3 Cloudtop leves by doing the 3 Moghome leves once each.) 66300 gil/week
• Weekly B-rank. 5000 gil/week
• Ten different FATEs per week. ? gil/week
• Ten ventures per week. ? gil/week
• All of these combined will reward you with the following challenge log entries: dungeons 1&2, commendations, leves 1&2, ventures 1, companion 1&2, FATEs 1&2 and overall completion 1&2. 22000 gil/week
TOTAL: guaranteed210900228400 gil/week which is on average903857978857 gil/month
Should be enough for repairs. ;) Takes 1.5 hours per day at the most, when assuming a 30 minute queue, 30 minutes in dungeon and 30 minutes for clan marks. It mostly depends on how long the roulette takes. Just do the B-rank, FATEs and leves whilst in queue and clan marks with your chocobo after the roulette.
And this is excluding the money you could get from spiritbonding, other roulettes, dungeon chest drops (dye, minions, mats), enemy loot, selling GC items on the MB, completing FATEs, doing treasure maps, selling venture rewards, daily beastman quests and their challenge log entries, sidequests and doing each guildhest once on each class/job for the bonus. A million or more per month is quite easy to get without ever having to touch a crafting or gathering class.
If this is not enough gil for your needs, sorry buddy, you're going to have to get your hands dirty and start farming. You needone DoHany class at level 19 to unlock materia assimilating. Obtain gear of your choosing, head to a dungeon which drops gear 8-15 item levels higher than you are spiritbonding, and massacre the place. Over and over. Return non-convertible gear to your GC and buy the highest selling materials/consumables. Sell all materia, minions, consumables and crafting materials on the MB. Equip the convertible gear you just obtained and head to dungeons again. Or you can get a DoH to 30 and unlock desynth for more gil.
Lines like this make me think you wouldn't know a fact if it hit you in the head.
There are many people in this game who enjoy things you don't. #Fact
You don't like it so no one must like it. #Opinion
It's not really this hard to actually learn the meaning and definition of words before using them is it?
I don't find it boring. I rather enjoy it. Sorry you don't care for it but that is what makes the world go around. I do lots of things in game and that is JUST ONE OF THE THINGS i do.
I find it boring to not do lots of different things including gathering, crafting, and War/Magic roles.
I'll just have to suffer with all the gil I have. It's actually boring to be poor in this game.
In every MMO there are 2 universal rules to earn money with a battle class:
1. sell loot from the monsters you killed
2. sell rewards
I'm sitting on 12millions gil and im not farming for it, lets not inflate the economy even further now.
made over 10mil in HW so far and im the laziest kitty ever.
They need to add more ways to spend gil before adding ways to make gil.
It's simple and repetitious, which certainly can be boring if you force yourself to do it when you're not in the mood for it, or to keep at it for a long time. But it can also be relaxing. Whenever work has been particularly hectic or frustrating, I'll come home and spend some time grinding one or another of the gathering classes. It's also good as a break between dungeon runs or when you don't feel like running another dungeon but want to stay in the game, in touch with your FC or LS friends, and want to be advancing something while still available to chat. It beats just standing around in Mor Dhona or somewhere.
(I don't have any of them fully leveled yet, though. MIN 40, BTN 39, FSH 29.)
Just bite the bullet and take a week or 2 to get your crafting classes to 50. Using leves and HQ turn-ins will make the process very easy. Repair problem solved. I really don't understand why people just throw gil at NPCs to fix their gear when you can just repair your own at a fraction of the cost.
All I got from the OP was "I want to have more gil. I know what it will take to get more gil, but I don't want to do that because it is boring. Please add ways for me to continue to be lazy but still get the gil I want."
Other than the obvious solution, looks like you are stuck farming dhalmels/dragons/whateversellsonthemarketboard, which is even more boring than crafting/gathering.
I make a healthy amount just from tanking dungeons via the "Adventurer in Need" bonus.
Slight error here. Clan marks are 1000 gil each for level 1 and 2 marks and 1500 gil each for level 3. That is 17500 per day/122500 per week.
Also you can spend the 110 seals you earn each day to buy 21 Aetheryte tickets (105 seals) which can seriously reduce teleportation costs. (Saving you between 21000 and 95550 if you use up all 147 each week)
Whoops my bad, thanks for the correction. I'll update the post. :)
Thank you as well. The fix brought the monthly amount close to a million gil per month! Never thought it was this easy to generate money from the game itself as opposed to trading it. With all the new adventurers pouring in the game no wonder inflation is going crazy. We need more gil sinks. >_<
Maps, dude.
If you don't wanna craft/gather/sell runs, you can kill stuff for high-demand mats like Deepeye Tears and Yak Milk
