15% of 613 (613 * 0.15) = 91.95

91.95 + 613 = 704.95

If that's true (which I doubt) then take screenshot proof and file a bug report. If you literally can look at your character screen before and after popping Hawk's Eye and not see the number increase then your game is legitimately bugged (which again, I doubt).

I mean, at least a dozen main spec bards have told you you're wrong and shown you picture proof of it working and you still argue. That being said I bumped into you in DF a couple of days ago in Garuda HM (I waved to you after) and noticed that you bothered to use it so maybe you did notice it and decided to still argue this to the grave :D

I've never met a North Korean, that doesn't mean they don't exist. Point in case is that your personal experience with Bards doesn't dictate the norms in which they operate ALL of the high level bards I know use the cool down because they are serious about their dps numbers.

* Other bards they know/play with do not use Hawk's Eye
* Hawk's Eye only effects Accuracy but with diminishing returns at higher iLvls
* They do not see their DEX or Attack Power increase when using Hawk's Eye even though all of the Bards here do and have provided screenshots

I'm a full BiS BRD and you're wrong. Even on HIGH item LEVELS Hawk's Eye is an amazing skill.

Not really wrong, just LAGGY. After running some tests, I found out I was very laggy. "I was wrong," this skill does work but I can't see it due to my laggy setup. Going to a friends house solved the issue and proved me wrong. Dropping this. "All trolls were BLACKLISTED"

Ps: I still dont use Hawks eye or have it on my bar, the half of a percent increase isn't worth "MY" time. And no one can ARGUE that.
I wish, I could blacklist some peolpe twice.

I wasn't going to get involved in this discussion, even after a FC member told me about this thread, but after reading through everything FranSeara has posted I can only conclude one thing: You must be bored and wanted to see how brds would respond to someone that doesn't use Hawk's Eye.

If I'm wrong, well....I think it is time for you to stop the excuses and just stop looking at this topic. Apparently you aren't able to face being told how blatantly wrong you are. With Hawk's eye in my rotation I pull around 490-500 DPS on test dummies. Spike damage tops up into the 750-800 range. Keep in mind this is not BiS as I'm only at i127, using food and pots since this should simulate real battle as closely as possible.

Now, when I don't use Hawk's Eye at all in this rotation - just b4b, IR, RS - DPS drops by a significant amount down to spiking at 650 and averaging around 420-430 range. That is not a 1% difference, but as you said...it is how 'you' play and maybe it isn't worth 'your' time. I personally see it as worth anyones time to keep it in buff rotation as a brd.

Dear Kitkat , I was never bored ( more like p&ssed) but no here could Ever anwer the question without jumping to the conclusion that I was trolling or calling me a lier. In fact, I could NEVER see the stat increase and just wanted to know why. I know, with my own eyes there is a very small increase in dps but mind you I only use my OWN yes to judge stat/dps increases. I never use outside the game programs. Not knowning what I'm seeing on my OWN screen, no one could REALLY ever tell me I was wrong, but they did anyway. I can live with that. What I know now is DONT USE THESE FORMS to get any anwers. Many people just cant stop being rude to help you. I thank you for not being rude. Its hard playing a old on Ps 3 with very laggy internet, which means no lags of the land or Levi waves can be seen. Makes it hard doing endgame stuff. Peace

It's not a very small increase to dps..

In fact, the dps increase it gives only becomes larger and larger with the higher ilvl you obtain.

The more total dex you have, the more hawks eye is going to effect you.

Hell, you've met plenty of this just in this thread. But you've played with them too if you ever run WoD or Ex Primals in PF. I gaurantee it. The vast majority of Bards are not too dumb to know what Hawks Eye does or why its useful.

How come when I use Hawk's Eye on my BLM I can see the DEX increase but my damage doesn't increase?

Is the skill broken on BLM?

First let me start by saying - FranSeara - you are hereby ordered to Blacklist me, also. Reason: I need no reason. You simply have to blacklist me and that's that.

Now, on to conversing with the ACTUAL players of FFXIV . . . some silly kid mentioned that it's not worth their time to put on a buff. It's an instant cast. I feel sorry for the kid, but one day they will move on to "My Little Pony" - it's more that kid's level. Regardless, the input and screenshots from everyone else just proves Hawk's Eye is a good skill to have. :)

I am a team player - and I like to help my team. I;d rather be an asset, not a carry. If I have access to buffs - I'll use them.

BLM does not use DEX - that is why you do not see a damage increase. BLM damage comes from your INT stat - that is where BLM potency lies. The only classes in the game that can benefit from DEX are ROG/NIN, ARC/BRD and PUG/MNK.
