Please do understand. I am not bashing on the healers but trying to point out the obvious fact. I am not expecting a nerf on healing ability but they do need to take away your offense abilities so healer dont feel that super powerful at all aspects. It is too good to be true for a job to be good in all aspects, you have to give up something for game balance.

Also, the survival ability you need in Wolf Den is just too much for the environment of the Frontline in which right now is the main stream PvP in this game. You are not going to be able to increase the PvP population size if you let a job to stay at current OP status. Most of us have WoW PvP background and we all aware of that 30% healing debuff mechanic from WoW PvP. Why is it there? It is simple. The healing ability provide to your for PvE is too strong for PvP because player character will never be able to output same amount of damage as scripted AI boss. If you are unable to see why your healing potency is stronger than dps potency in ilvl80 PvP, you are really just trying to defend your own job instead of being a true PvPer.

I personally do not want to see Sqaure/Enix use same approach as Blizzard's 30% healing debuff and it probably wont need to because there is no morale and Frontline is capped at ilvl 80. I am strongly suggest you try to play other job on the Fronline and seeing other job's PoV instead of being trapped in one job's tunnel visioned world.

Pure healer side? I hope you're joking. I've been maining killer in pvp for months on end. While trying out basically everything, and that was back when trying other classes was extremely costly, due to having to pay for each reset with what was at the time, scarce wolf marks.

Understand that there is a difference between playing their class to the full extent of its abilities, and playing whm as a DPS role which you are saying. You are a gimped DPS. But 2 on 1 against any competent opposition and it's all the healer can do to keep themselves alive. You don't see healers 2 on 1'ing in WD killing the dps... they work their asses off to live, thats how it is. A healer doesn't just show up and solo OP's that are even remotely defended (a lone tank is not a viable defense).
So your problem is with retard healers who want to do gimped damage instead of heals and sacrifice their healing ability to DPS.(again, there is a difference between playing it as a DPS and utilizing it to it's full extent, the second takes skill and educated gambles/sacrifice, and can pay off, but it is not easy to do vs good players) And healers who manage to kill multiple bads at an OP? So since I play another job, my PoV? I know healers inside out, and I know when and how to attack them. I know how brittle they are, and I know what must be done to kill them through months of playing a killer in WD as well as a healer. I'm also well aware of their strengths and the unlikeliness of killing them 1 vs 1 due to the fact that they have longevity and can afford to sacrifice some healing for dps/CC when in a 1 on 1 situation (doesn't stop me from soloing healers in FL, cause most suck (good ones is another thing)).
I know the scale is tipped for them 1 v 1, and it's highly tipped for them vs bad players, as bad players tend to do them favors, like making them stun immune. They are bordering OP in 1 on 1, but anything 2+ is fair game. I'm not really concerned with how others DPS feel on the matter. All I can do is offer the advice;

While it may be true for WHM, but when you spec your Scholar as dps, their dps is not gimped. There is already an alliance of three Warriors + 21 Schoalrs has cleared ST. PLD, SCH x 4, WHM x 2, SMN and BLM setup being effectively used by a PvP community that is much larger than us. Are you going to sweep these facts under the carpet and still claiming Scholar is a gimped dps.

WHM dps out May not be as high as Scholar, but they are still nevertheless able to down dps, just may need few more seconds than a SCH. Not to mention, they are better outpost stealer with fluid aura and repose.

As long as you lock your target with 40 to 50 m, their health can't regenerate. What do you talking about here? No one is going to leave a half party to defend outpost, that is a waste of resource

What are you talking about here? You under estimated Scholar's damage output. Under ilvl 80, player Health is about 4000, with 2 instant dots, it only takes 20s to remove that amount of HP. I didn't even count in rune 2 yet.

Here we go again, same old trick of " you shouldn't speak if you are not a healer". Read previous posts, I have no prefer job. I will try all jobs in an order. WHM is lvl 37, BLM is 42, and SCH is 15. I switch to different job every 100 games or so. Plan to do BLM after WAR, but fine, I will push WHM before BLM. I got full set ready anyway.

Up to now for me healing works fine in Frontline, consider that healers are the heart of the party in FL, if they die, usually the party wipe, like the tanks in the endgame content.
And take in consideration that as BLM more than one time I did a (crit) 1900 Damange on healer with a single attack, and usually I gain firestarter III, Surecast->Flare, Manadraw, Swiftcast -> Flare.
and if I'm not alone that healer will be chased a little I hope, so his HP wouldn't be always full, you just have to burst them with 2 or 3 people, and meanwhile stalker other healer (but really, sometimes this isn't necessary).
Remember that they take heavy damange, as BLM, SMN and BARD.

Also in the first post you said that the healing is proportional to attack like "death sentece" that take 6k of damange, maybe I'm wrong, but I am not able as healer to heal it with just a Cure II, I need atleast 2 cure II and maybe a rigene, infact the DPS aren't able to do damange like twintania too xD

Well the MNK I 1v1 today would think healers are OP but the truth was he did everything wrong and I did everything right. He focused on me instead of my pet, never took out my aether flow, never used pvp skills, and never went Perfect Balanced to get greased lightning up. I on the other hand used Aura Blast, Aetheric Burst, Equanimity, Attunement, and Focalization. Never killed him but held him in a stalemate until help came.

The outcome of the fight wouldn't matter. I'm pretty sure you know that as well, Hailie.

Unless both sides' teammates agree not to fight, and let your characters 1v1, then it will never serve as a point. And even if this was the case, depending on character classes, it still wouldn't be fair as certain classes have advantages over others.

In particular, a WHM and a SCH has an advantage over pretty much every other class when it comes to 1v1.
-I'm sure no one with a functional brain will deny this.

If you do PvP for the case of who's "better", then I suggest using the same classes when/if you duke it out. In a best of 5 or first to 3 wins format to make things more fair than one simple fight. On the low chance both of you listens to this and actually does this, don't do healer vs healer. It's beyond boring and pointless as the winner will be the person who doesn't give up healing themselves >__>

To be honest, I have not read these posts, but I will say I know Hailie is a great Wolves' Den Player, and I have also seen that Saviour is a good player for Frontlines, in particular their open map skirmishing, so despite different in opinion, both are good players, I will add that it is very possible for WAR and MRD to defeat WHM and SCH in 1v1, in fact I have played many games where by their play it seemed the enemy healer must have heard and thought they are invincible, only to be surprised at the speed they are dispatched, I am sure with proper use of ability other classes are also capable of this, a problem with healer can be when 3-4 or more all stack and use regen, medica2, succor, etc, however, there are ways to prevent, counter and defeat this

I've decided to start playing healer full time in FL, as both WHM and SCH depending on the situation and I have to say that I am already feeling the god mode. I can switch in and out of cleric stance on the fly to go from blowing someone up to healing myself and my team. I can have multiple people chasing me, unable to kill me. I am beating other players effortlessly and I have won nearly every game since I switched to playing healer.

To make things worse, I know that I'm playing poorly right now because I lack experience with WHM and SCH in PvP. I am making stupid mistakes that I can easily recognize and that with practice I will not be making, at least not nearly as frequently. It's sad that my day one WHM and SCH can go in and face-roll dominate. Can I die quickly and easily? Yeah, but only if I do something stupid to put myself in that position. Otherwise I have a myriad of tools to secure my safety and the safety of my team.

If you have any sense of positioning, spacing, and line of sight, you should never be dying.

One of the best feelings i got was murking a sch as mrd 1 v 1. he thought he had time to adlo...boom hit em with a 1k+ maim crit....maim. Only comes in 2nd to killing a whm 1v1 as a blm. Mofo sleeped me back to back and laughed. I got a SC f3 in between one of em, popped equa after i became sleep resistant, hit em with a f3 proc then flare b4 he could heal himself. Was lovely.

Hello there.
I started Frontlines just recently and my little experience made me come to the forums to check about something I saw while punching people in the face.

What I found was posts like:
- "But you only need your team to focus on the enemy healer to kill him!", which also means: "I'm sure you'll win 8v1!". Okay, well, thanks Sherlock...
or
- "If you are really good you can defeat an average healer!", which also means: "At equal skills, a Healer will kick your ass, because you'll need to have a perfect execution while he can just play with his eyes closed"

After reading this thread, I can safely confirm what I was experiencing on my first games, even if I'm a PvP newbie, and say that Healers are definitly Jack of all trades, master of (almost) all.
When people who are arguing against that fact are just proving you right, it's quite safe to assume that you can make that statement.

Healers are balanced only in the event of fighting a similar team with only one or two healers per team. You can then take the advantage by playing well and having good priorities.
But when 3 or 4 healers are present in the enemy team while yours doesn't have that many, you won't be able to take that point unless you have a nasty trick in your pocket (Like a surprise LB2 while they're all sleeping or stunned, or whatever).
This shows that healers have too much weight to put in the balance and can easily turn the fate of an encounter around. It pretty much comes down to them being some nasty swisstool.

It just takes too much ressources to kill a healer while they can pull a lot of stuff from their bag with less efforts.
Maybe preventing the use of the Claeric stance can be something to try, but I'm not sure it would be enough since they would just go and equip some INT accessories.
So, in the end, I don't see much solution to this problem besides limiting the number of healers on the battlefield... but then, it would defeat the point of the free class change system in Frontlines.

So, yup. Healers are the biggest deal in Frontlines, but there's not much we can do about that.

You dont need to be "really good to defeat an average healer", A good player will stomp a good healer 1v1, but you need to remember this is a casual PvE focused MMO, i don't want to sound like an ass but the vast majority the playerbase are TERRIBLE players

If you can provide a good explanation or, better, a video, I would be happy to see that.

Until then, I just won't be able to believe you based only on your statement. I currently don't see any way to burst down a good healer faster than he can heal himself and/or root/stun/sleep/slow you and run away.
Oh and, of course, for your fight to be relevant, you would need to kill that healer fast enough, or it would just be a waste of time.

So, do you have any real example of someone going solo on a flag, fighting a good healer there, kill him and take the flag before his team comes back?
Oh and, please, if you can, provide examples with multiple classes/jobs, it would be great.

just because you or someone you know can't do it, doesnt mean its not possible. i can name a few people from my data center of various classes who could 1v1 a healer because they almost killed me 1v1. just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Here's a great way to see first hand what i mean:

Get lvl 50 healer and solo-heal/roam/dps/midsnipe on cerberus server, I was averaging 4-10 kills a match and 1 death at max, with the most captures, etc

Move to Leviathan (or any primal dc server, just move from chaos to primal) and try and do the same thing, you will get beaten into the dust instantly

It was a huge culture shock to me, it showed me how bad the average player on cerberus is, but the pvp is so much better over here i would recommend switching if you are into pvp as much as i am

This quote right here lets me know that you don't really understand the dynamic of PvP in this game. Any damage a healer receives will cancel (not push back) their casting. You can't "play with your eyes closed" when everything from Heavy Shot to a cockroach's fart cancels your spell-casting. It does not take "perfect execution" to kill a healer, just smart cooldown management, intimate knowledge of your class, and working as a team. A skilled player can defeat a healer no problem...but as many people have pointed out there really aren't a lot of skilled players here. Mostly just whiners.

I'm a mediocre player at best, but I'm also an experienced one. And my experience tells me that when I die it's not because my opponent has an overpowered class. It's because they're simply better than me. I may not be the best player but I know skill and cleverness when I see it.

I agree with part of what you said, but as I posted earlier: healer stacking works because of dominion-based gametype. Some FC and I encountered a situation of 6 healers and 2 DPS opposing us at our charge. We had 3 healers and the rest were varied DPS. We initially knew better than to fight them and to just blitzkrieg other camps, but we looked at the map, saw our other parties sucking, and we conducted an experiment and fought them.

They held the point, for obvious reasons (our bards know not to sacrifice distance for standing on point, and we knew better than to fall into the Holy spam), but we acquired LB2 faster than them and obliterated them. Even before then we were able to burst a few of them down, but the raises were too numerous.

tl;dr: Healers aren't OP, they're just easy to cheese it up with in dominion, which is a separate issue. Some think LB in Frontlines is cheesing it up too, but fire with fire, bitchez.

As for the 1v1 against a healer, I'll try to get footage in the future, but I've definitely accomplished this numerous times as PLD. It isn't about the burst. It's about setting up the burst so it finishes the target.
