Question Regarding Bans on Compromised Accounts

Apologizes for my misunderstanding of your statements. You wanted to rant, not ask for solutions. I was speaking specifically about your subscription money. Like everyone else that has magically had their account compromised, they had to wait for them to finish the investigation of the account. If you think its unethical and illegal, you are free to contact some legal representation. Good luck with all that.

I'll just leave this here for your perusing pleasure. You'll want Section 4.7 and Section 10. This is that thing you agreed to but didn't read, like the rest of us.

Its principle, I wouldn't care if its .01 cent, if you are charging people for services they do not have access to, that is unethical. I don't care if they have the entire company working on the investigation, that is irrelevant. I shall make a stink with or without your approval.

You didnt provide any solutions either way, so not entirely sure what the point of you even commenting in the first place was. Definitely not clicking that link either lol but regardless we are not seeking a refund, we are already well aware of the user agreement. We just want the recurring payments to stop. Thanks for the well wishes.

So, you could open a dispute with your financial institution and if they did indeed charge you while the account was suspended/you have no access, you do actually have a pretty good chance of winning (no matter what SE's ToS says).

However, if you do this, SE will permanently ban the account. Which is the caveat of using a bank's dispute process against any subscription service.

I'm actually in the process of doing this very thing to Twitch. They've bricked my account so it has no hostage value anymore.

I gave you the link to the User Agreement on the main Lodestone official website. You can check that yourself, and stop being so dramatic about that. That is your solution - exactly what I gave you in that link.
If you want the recurring payment to stop, then log into your account and stop it. That's your choice, not for SE to do. Solution given.

I appreciate the info! We definitely reached out to our bank already, they said they cant stop the payments because of the recurring payment authorization, their suggestion was to contact SE Customer support and ask them to cancel it, but they wont even talk to us until their investigation is complete. I know I can close my bank account, but thats not a feasible option at the moment, but if this goes on for too long I think that might be our only course of action, unfortunately.

I went to the user agreement myself without needing the link. and Section 4.7 refers to refunds...which we are not pursuing, as stated in the comment you quoted. I can be as dramatic as I like...this is literally my finances that are being impacted.

And as far as Section 10 Disputes go, we cant really try to resolve it with them if they dont respond to any of our communications, and as of this moment, it wouldnt make financial sense to seek arbitration. Though that could change if this doesnt resolve in a reasonable timeframe. (60-90 days+)

The only thing I apologized for is your lack of acceptance of a well known fact. If you couldn't handle it, there's nothing I can do. What I stated may felt a bit blunt, and you have the right to like it or not. However, if you don't want a response that may not coddle to you in a way that you may wish to hear, than I suggest you don't post in the official forums and just take the matter directly to "Support" where you'll get an official response you can't argue with.

I could care less of your specific opinion, or your suggestions to be frank. All of which..still pointless, unhelpful, and rude. I would suggest you don't stalk the public forums for opportunities to be a complete twat to strangers for absolutely no reason, but I think you and I both know you aren't capable of that.
