So far I’ve seen nothing to suggest a reduction in BRD kit, and BRD kit is as good as you can get compared to the other ranged, DNC being trivialized MCH unmoving.

SMN and MNK changes will have to wait for tooltips to see actual implications...tho I fear it would be trivialized, not very safe to say it isn’t when they said “during your down time you’ll cast ruin III or somthing” and the summons look superficial but if it’s fun and engaging sure.

MNK heading Twins isn’t positional locked but Demo is, is weird but Snap punch losing Its positional is stupid. Again waiting on the gameplay of it. Cautious as ever and annoyed everyone is buying into the hype so easily just like MCH

Speaking of MCH, out of all the jobs it needed a extra step more than ever or make its heat blast spam be less stupid...but it is so low on the priority list, and assuming ping will still be a issue. Christ do the devs think the job is 100% perfect yet jobs like BLM and SAM change ?

They never gave a crap about mch and it s core playerbase, and now that the very casual base loves it "i can press 1 button in a row for half a minute and things look cool while i can move without caring" there probably wont have any change anymore. Just look at how much people defend the fact mch's dps is fine because they can move, i m already prepared for mch to be behind RDM again, but they are a caster so it's okay.

I realized one thing.
If Shotgun is spreadshot+ and Buzzsaw is Drill+Reassemble, then MCH single target rotation won't change from lv66 to lv90.
You'd simply get one more Reassemble and extra potency/battery.

That is some truly cursed fact.

On the other hand, it dosen't CHANGE every dungeon, so unlike BLM you can enter roulettes safely without having to relearn your class every single dungeon.

On the other other hand, BLM is a late bloomer sure, but MCH 50 kit is as good as it’ll get and most of the changes from 50-90 are gcd (yawn) shallow upgrades (You have 10 levels until you get all 3 of your Heated, Hot shot and queen) and one free charge (hurray more senseless spamming)

Progression kit isn’t to blame just MCH has nothing beyond 50 that’s enhances the job in a advanced fashion unlike....every single job in the game.

I’ve made peace with it tho, if casuals need a job so they don’t ruin other jobs with their bad ideas, MCH is the sacrifice, though DNC does a great job at that anyways. I can sadly assure everyone 7.0 will be just as uneventful with probably “some skill you press after (wildfire/Queen/Drill)” or a shallow upgrade to animation (Pyro Slug, Pyro clean, Heat Bombard). The jobs done identity sealed. It will never be any better than what the mains deem appropriate, which they demand stagnation and their wish granted

Considering how easy, and how easy it’ll remain, MCH should never ever top any job DPS wise. They can fool themselves staring at Aggro, but the job has zero complications nor should it ever be above melee. I don’t want to see the simplistic job overshadowing stuff like SAM BLM or even DNC and BRD

Why compare MCH to RDM anyway? They're completely different roles. You're not competing with Red Mage, you are competing with Dancer and Bard.

I meant GCD as in it runs the same with 1-2-3 but has a CD. So in some ways, worse than flèche and personally don’t see satisfaction in the engaging process of “pressing a button” which is MCH entire kit.

RDM has it to diversity itself and is a ogcd so blends decently to spells even if removing it wouldn’t really doom the job. But a job starving for new shtick, a ogcd isn’t it and a cd-GCD is worse it yet again just make the job fat and full of bloat.

Yeah, but that's not a guideline for healthy game design.
I wouldn't even say "loved the most", more like "screamed loudest on the forums" in many cases.

It won't because SE is adamant on giving phy ranged a movement tax while also not giving it any meaningful utility that'll actually help the party.

PHY ranged is pretty much dead except for dancer being able to pocket the powerful DPS jobs
