and anyone who has a new idea attacks anyone who likes how it is and the developer for not wanting the same ideas.

You mean you'd prefer a system where newbies have to take 3 years to catch up with 3 years veterans? Or a system where we don't get to upgrade our equip as often (and then deal with people whining that there's "nothing to doooo")? Or what are people asking for exactly? Whatever it is, it doesn't sound like they are thinking of all kinds of players, while the current game has content for both raiders who want exclusive best of the best items, and more casual people who don't have as much time but don't want to fall behind either. However, it must be just me because I genuinely have no idea of what all this rage and doom is about.
With this game population reaching 500k the chances of seeing server merges are not slim, are very realistic and actually, could solve many problems for several servers which are struggling. Also going F2P in case of a mayor dissapointment after expansion (HW ultimately translated into a very big dip of player population, from the activity perspective, HW was a failure as a expansion, so there is previous experience to support this) aren't slim neither, either that or what would be worse, a change in the schedule of updates, reducing developing cost and maintenance cost for this game, shorting efectively the life span of this game.
This isn't FFXI, we are not going to see a "noble" transition to maintenance mode in a decade, if things doesn't change, we will see a very problematic transition into maintenance mode in 2 o 3 more expansions.
someone doesn't give you a reason you find good enough so that means you are allowed to attack them? thought out ideas? to you maybe but that doesn't make it *thought out* it's easy to side with what you like and say its good and that goes for both sides.
there is a millions arguments that we could go through but it's pointless.
you have no proof of how high or low the current sub population is as se will never give out that info saying the game is doom is simply fearmongering that happens every patch and you saying it isn't slim won't ever change what will happen (doesn't mean it can't but that is far from happening)
I would love for the absolute maximum i level to be available to upgrade gear(from the start), but that it takes a while to achieve, while keeping the tome formula for people who dont want to upgrade their balmung to 260, something like this. Sure grindaholics might be 265 before nidhogg comes out, but who cares? Then the timing of releasing increased tome gear will have the same impact as it does now, but there would be other methods of achieving tha growth and more. Tie it into spiritbond, or even invisible stats i mean besides being able to convert something to materia (and not sure if durabilty/wear is lessened at 100% just heard from a long time ago) could be a way to go "ok buddy weapons ready to power up again"
it have way to create a system of growth for age, but don't want to do it. it's called the relic... since day one it was possible to create a growth system that will follow the player for the whole expansion.
instead of this we get boring grind that is mindless.
about people saying legion will change all and kill ff14, if blizzard didn't learn from WoD it will change nothing, the only way to compete is to offer as much content release. yes is not new and game breaking and repeating stuff over and over. but wow have done it too with more month between content.
