Tossed in my BLM Zeta in and completed my DRK anima. Using the "have you even made one?" excuse to justify your argument is weak.
And I remain disappointed I couldn't put Piety on it. Such customization.

The could introduce some fates, guildleves, instances, actually designed to give narrative, context, and specific encounters in addition to what is given now.
And that's A okay. Problem players have though is eventually we toss it aside to the point I'm beginning to think it's just going to be push and pull between relic, crafted, and tomestone gear with current savage raid weapons always coming out on top.
But even then at some point a weapon does not stay with you. You throw them all out. And for some players in a Lore perspective feel that's horrible.
SE should just make everything a Relic style grind, by just flipping the Glamour system...
Rather than taking a new piece of gear, and slapping an old skin on it... I'd prefer to take a weapon I like (Balmung, for example), and slap new stats onto it... Then pretty much any piece of gear you want can be a "Relic", you can upgrade that Lv1 Weathered Bow to i240 if you want... Perhaps have stages, so it's not just a case of i1 to i240, but I'd enjoy something like that much more than the current Glamour system... It bugs me that my favorite equipment sits on a retainer until it's time for me to update gear...
OK, that takes away a structured narrative (as if we even have one), but it instead gives us a sandbox one... I would make my own narrative around upgrading Balmung, and you'd make your own around upgrading whatever... Whatever challenges we face along the way would be entirely up to us... Perhaps you bested Nidhogg to get to i235, while I took on Palace of the Dead... Instead of getting new gear to replace old gear, you'd be using it to enhance old gear, that even provides new value to crap like dungeon drops...
I'll admit, this is mostly coming from my deep hatred of Glamour Prisms as a mechanism, but I do also want to use Balmung as an actual weapon, not as a splash of paint over Guillotine of the Tyrant...
Just a PSA: hate me if you will, but I just wanted to let anyone thinking of trying out legion, who is unsure if it's worth it, that it's actually really awesome. Most interesting story since wrath. No emo dragons, porky pandas, ore egomaniacal orcs here, just an old nemesis back for round two. All love to ff14, of course, but if you're on the fence I'd say give it a shot. I play both.
ten runs, that would have to be some seriously bad luck. I got 3 wpns, and got to +25/26 in 15 or 16 runs (saving that progress for the new set of floors)
i don't get the attitude or the expectations some ppl have of the game. it progresses every (or every 2nd) patch. having an emotional bond to the gear you got is going to disappoint you eventually. all your gear will be exchanged sooner or later and if you think this will change anytime soon, you are playing the wrong game. even the next relic step is a simple replacement for what you used before. our relic isn't growing constantly, only when a new quest is added and when we finish it.
