We need Dwarves with might.. MIGHTY beards as the next race

Now i know compared to Roes, Elezens, and Au'ra that hyrulians might as well be dwarves but they are not proper dwarves. eit: I actually second this, not as a playable race but as a debut. Dwarves have been around in several FF installments thriughiut the series, though in xiv they resemble closely to the kobolds. from using explosives to build a dam for sea travel between continents. to aiding and assisting cid in making fireproofing covering for his under earth airshiip in ff4

Lore wise, they could be a weird mutation of Hellsguard Roegadyn which we find when we some day explore the mountains of Abalathia's Spine. The two dwarf clans could look very different from each other, one having human colours and the other having stone colours.

Okay, but that doesn't make the opinions of those that like them any less valid. As I said, more flexibility within the character creator really should be what we're asking for here, not a "my way or your way" type schism.

I was only saying that Au'ras should never have been looking like "delicate princesses " in the first place. But Au'ras being what they are now, yes they could add more flexibility by making it the first race with a third tribe. And that tribe could be the awesome menacing one from the concept art.

I can see dwarves being implemented in XIV as quite likely (less so as a playable race), because the dev team like their references (matoya and azyz lla being big ones), so perhaps we might find dwarves as an NPC race if nothing else.
