It's about teaching a lesson based on principle. Whether it was intended as a joke or not doesn't exempt you from getting reprimanded.

Either that or they actually have a market for it right now, but many of us just don't need it (mostly players who started early, from what I understand it's a little harder to make money now).

I think in that situation (easy to make in-game money) they'd just sell more for the same cost, or the same amount for cheaper.

Firstly, I'm not pro-RMT. RMT, however, will never be abolished. Why? Because the community is always two steps ahead of the developers.

Yes, because FFXIV is just like being on a plane with your life at risk, and a retainer named RMT is definitely a guy jokin about bombs.

Seriously. Get over yourself.

I'm all for banning people in suspicious RMT behavior. Naming your retainer RMT is NOT advertising, endorsing or in any way even supportive of RMTs. It does nothing to aid them.

Banning a player with a sense of humor that Archadius doesn't agree with is not something anyone at SE would/should waste even a second to consider.

An overly-active ban hammer is another plague to a gaming community. Don't go around telling people they fail when they don't agree with you...

...especially when you are failing this hard.
