Yesterday I saw a retainer in the Ul'dah market wards nicknamed "RMT"... Now... This player is more than likely not an RMT since most of them probably aren't that stupid, but needless to say, this person should be banned regardless. Support/advertising for RMT in-game is NOT HELPING US and should be stopped.

Refusing to acknowledge RMT is not a viable solution to the problem.

I miss logging into FFXI in the good ol' days and seeing "8422 accounts were banned yesterday due to solicitation regarding RMT activities or involvement".

What does it have to do with me, personally? Banning RMT and RMT solicitation is for the good of the community as a whole. If you're against the cause, then I guess you're pro-RMT activity. Choose your battles.

who would buy money when its so easy to make. I can only assume that they are stock piling it until ps3 launch.

Either that or they actually have a market for it right now, but many of us just don't need it (mostly players who started early, from what I understand it's a little harder to make money now).

I think in that situation (easy to make in-game money) they'd just sell more for the same cost, or the same amount for cheaper.

Firstly, I'm not pro-RMT. RMT, however, will never be abolished. Why? Because the community is always two steps ahead of the developers.
